Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 733 Finances

Several things happened after the battle concluded.

First, Star Genesis collected all the valuables that the former leaders had stored.

One had to remember that the safest places for valuables were the Soul Spaces of the most powerful members of an Organization.

Yes, there were also fortified storages with Formation Arrays, but a Formation Array expert could circumvent them.

Yet, to get the valuables from a Soul Space, one had to convince the owner to hand over the materials or kill them.

Because of that, the Soul Spaces of powerful Seekers were often filled with valuables.

This hadnʼt been very relevant to Kyle until now.

After all, in the Star Seeking, there hadnʼt really been a use for the harvested resources since everyone had been isolated from society.

As a Primal, Kyle had only killed a handful of people when he had been an Exchange Seeker, and the belongings of these people had mostly been collected by the Organizations.

Now, these valuables were actually relevant.

When Star Genesis had collected all the valuables, she went to Kyle with Manny and Swamp Dragon.

Then, the three of them bowed deeply. ”Thank you for your help, Master!” they shouted respectfully.

Almost all the members of the former Deep Thorn Sect saw how their new leaders treated Kyle.

This was an important act since everyone had to know who the most powerful person was.

Kyle just smiled kindly in his disguise. ”No need for such formalities,” Kyle spoke kindly as he gently lifted them from their bows. ”I am just here to support you. This exercise will teach the three of you many valuable lessons. I will only get involved if you see no way out of the situation.”

”Yes, Master!” the three of them shouted.

Kyle just smiled before looking at a random Crusher. ”Is there a quiet place I can stay?”

The Crusher became nervous when Kyle addressed him. ”Yes, of course, sir!” he spoke nervously before gesturing to the east. ”The former Head preferred isolation, and he lived in a house about 500 kilometers from here.”

”Thank you,” Kyle said. ”I will take a look at the house.”

Then, he turned to the Disciples as a whole. ”Listen to your seniors. If you value your morals as you value your strength, you will be rewarded. I have taught my Disciples to reward effort appropriately.”

The next moment, Kyle flew away from the Sect and searched for the house.

ʼYou know, being an Ancestor is pretty chill,ʼ he thought. ʼI just have to act all kind and mysterious while not doing any work.ʼ

After flying for a bit, Kyle saw a small house that was surrounded by a couple of Formation Arrays.

When he saw the Formation Arrays, he scratched the back of his head.

ʼHow the fuck do I get in there without destroying them? I donʼt know jackshit about Formation Arrays.ʼ

ʼYou know what? Fuck this! The others can still reach me via my Communicator. Might as well do the same thing I always do and just go underground.ʼ

Kyle rushed into the ground. Luckily, there were no powerful beasts on the Planet.

The Planet on which they were was the governing Planet for the two Planet Systems the Deep Thorn Sect owned.

It had a similar climate to Earth. There were a couple of towns and cities, but not many. One had to remember that almost all Mortals were in the Mortal Dimension. Because of that, there were not that many cities in the Supreme World.

In this Planet System, Transcendents and newer Primals were allowed to stay unaffiliated and live there, as long as they paid their taxes.

Stronger Primals had to join the Deep Thorn Sect or leave the Planet System.

After all, the Deep Thorn Sect didnʼt want any competition.

ʼBased on the plan, we are going to change that soon,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼGiving powerful Seekers more freedom comes with a significant increase in Karmic Luck.ʼ

ʼAnyway, I should focus a bit on my first Compression. It should only take a couple more years until Iʼm done.ʼ

The next moment, Kyle took out a big chunk of Energy Stones.

Crushers needed a lot of Energy to strengthen their Center.

If a Crusher simply used the Energy in the atmosphere, they would need almost 1,000 years to finish their first Compression.

Naturally, that was just way too long.

However, by consuming a bunch of Energy Stones, one could lower the time to around a century.

70 years had already passed since Kyle had become a Crusher, and he only needed a couple more decades to become a Minor Crusher.

The sad thing was that one needed to focus on oneʼs Compression. One couldnʼt just let it run in the background while doing something else.

The first Compression was pretty cheap when it came to the cost of Energy Stones, but that changed with the later ones.

The price of every Compression was twice the preceding one.

Additionally, while Kyle thought it was cheap, most Crushers didnʼt consider the price cheap. It was just that Kyle and his team came from the Array of Stars and had a boatload of Contribution Points, which could be exchanged for Energy Stones.

Just because the team had to make a name for themselves didnʼt mean that they wouldnʼt get access to their Contribution Points.

They were simply not allowed to use them for their Organization.

As Kyle started absorbing his Energy Stones, his team started to investigate the former Deep Thorn Sect.

How many Law Wells did they own?

What were the established rules?

How were the Planets run?

Formation Arrays?

Resources?

Contribution Point system?

Rankings?

Ideology?

Surrounding powers?

Finances?

Luckily, Star Genesis had a lot of experience in these things.

In the Tertiary World, she had run an entire country for thousands of years while navigating the political landscape with other countries.

It took her several days to analyze everything, but when she was done, she could finally discern how the two Planet Systems had been run.

She found a couple of surprising things.

For example, the weaker Crushers had been paid extremely well.

On top of that, the weaker Crushers barely had any duties.

Huge pay for almost no work.

The reason for that?

Karmic Luck.

If the living standards of the Crushers lowered as a result of ”forcefully” joining another Organization, the new Organization would lose some Karmic Luck.

This made attacking the Deep Thorn Sect less attractive to any potential enemy.

Meanwhile, the Primals and the Transcendents werenʼt paid as well.

Another surprising part was that a gigantic chunk of their resources went to the surrounding powers.

The resources went to them as tribute.

The finances were relatively stable, but only because the old leadership barely collected anything for themselves.

They had been Major Crushers, and they needed to kill other Major Crushers to advance.

Yes, during their next Compression, they still needed money to advance, but none of them had managed to consume three other Major Crushers yet.

Almost all of their money had been dedicated to the Deep Thorn Sect.

Funnily enough, the weaker Crushers all had more resources and money than the Head, the Head Elder, and the Disciplinary Elder.

Star Genesis was planning several big changes, and they would take a while to take effect.

Too much money went to the weaker Crushers, while not much money was left for the Organization as a whole.
