Chapter 725 Becoming Legendary

”I have my preferences,” Swamp Dragon said.

”Some of these jobs are amazing!” Manny shouted.

”I will adapt to the others,” Star Genesis added from the side.

Kyle nodded.

Usually, he would pick the job of Trial Scout. It would give him plenty of time to comprehend Laws. Additionally, it gave several good opportunities to increase his Momentum, and the rewards were also pretty good.

However, with the added context of what the Chief Overseer had said, Kyle actually wanted to vote for the job of Outsider.

The main reason was that the Chief Overseer had said that it would be the best job to become a Legendary Crusher.

”Iʼm voting for Outsider,” Kyle said.

Swamp Dragon raised a brow, while Manny looked with shock at Kyle. Star Genesis had an expression like she knew why Kyle had chosen that job.

”Why would you vote for that?” Manny asked in shock. ”The job of Trial Scout is obviously the best one. It has everything we would ever need!”

”Why did you choose that job, Bang?” Swamp Dragon asked, referring to Kyle with his new title.

”Well, I usually would have also voted for the job of Trial Scout,” Kyle said, ”but Iʼve been talking to the Chief Overseer, and he said that the job of Outsider would be the best to achieve my goal.”

”Which is?” Swamp Dragon asked.

”Going as far as possible in the Compression Realm,” Kyle answered.

Star Genesis furrowed her brows.

”Do you want to be a Legendary Crusher?” she transmitted to Kyle privately.

”I want all of us to become Legendary Crushers,” Kyle transmitted back.

”I see,” Star Genesis transmitted.

Then, she looked at the other two. ”I also vote for the job of Outsider.”

Manny looked at Star Genesis in shock. ”You too?! Why?!”

Star Genesis took a deep breath.

It was important that the team came to a consensus, but Manny was obviously very much against the job of Outsider.

Sure, they could force him to adapt to the majority, but he would probably still feel some resentment.

”Because itʼs the best job to become Legendary Crushers,” she transmitted to Manny and Swamp Dragon.

Kyle didnʼt hear Star Genesisʼ voice transmission, but he immediately noticed that something had happened.

It hadnʼt been relevant for a while, but Kyle could still somewhat see the effects of Karma in his surroundings.

And right now, he noticed that Star Genesisʼ Karmic Luck had dropped quite a bit.

”Legendary?” Swamp Dragon asked out loud.

”Itʼs the level after Unique,” Kyle quickly said, not letting Star Genesis ruin more of her Karmic Luck. ”Yes, it exists. Yes, I reached it. I was a Legendary Transcendent and a Legendary Primal. Thatʼs why I worked so hard. You guys can become Legendary Crushers as long as you accept the job of Outsider.”

Kyleʼs instincts shouted at him that he had just committed a mistake.

Sure enough, Kyle noticed that his positive Karmic Luck had reached the negatives.

Before entering the Natural Trial, Kyle had had the Second Blessing of Karmic Luck, but since the Natural Trial was one that consumed Karmic Luck, Kyleʼs Karmic Luck had dropped to only be slightly positive.

But now, by unveiling the existence of the Legendary Realms, his Karmic Luck went a bit into the negatives.

He hadnʼt reached the First Curse of Karmic Luck yet, but he was well on his way.

Over the next few seconds, Kyle quickly summarized the relevant details about the Legendary Realms, and by the end of things, he had reached the First Curse of Karmic Luck.

During their conversation, Star Genesis just looked at Kyle with a complex expression.

”You didnʼt have to do that,” she said. ”I have more Karmic Luck to spare.”

”Yeah, but you worked harder for yours,” Kyle said. ”Additionally, I already cost you a lot of Momentum. I donʼt want to cost you Karmic Luck as well.”

Star Genesis just sighed.

Meanwhile, Manny and Swamp Dragon just thought about several things.

The fact that Kyle had spent so much time on something that wouldnʼt help his advancement finally made sense.

That was because creating a Personal Law actually did help in his advancement.

”Wait, that means your body is stronger than ours?” Manny asked. ”I mean, without your Complex Law?”

Kyle nodded. ”Yes, my physical power is quite a lot stronger, actually.”

Swamp Dragon and Manny looked at Kyle in surprise.

”Bang,” Swamp Dragon said, ”how powerful are you exactly?”

”I can probably win against an Advanced Crusher,” Kyle answered.

Swamp Dragonʼs and Mannyʼs eyes opened wide in shock.

They knew that Kyle was stronger than they were, but they hadnʼt expected him to be that much stronger!

The two of them believed that they could win against Medium Crushers, and they had thought that Kyle would be able to win against Major Crushers.

Yet, he said he could actually win against Advanced Crushers?!

That was crazy!

”You believe we can become Legendary Crushers?” Swamp Dragon asked.

Kyle nodded. ”The Chief Overseer said that itʼs about our impact on the world. We need to reach a certain level of influence and impact to become Legendary Crushers.”

”If we want to become Unique Crushers, taking the jobs of Elite Enforcer Trainees or Trial Scouts would be better. Sadly, neither of those two jobs will allow us to gain influence. If we want to become Legendary Crushers, we need the job of Outsiders.”

Manny seemed a bit uncertain.

Was there really something like a Legendary Realm?

”Itʼs the truth,” Star Genesis said. ”Iʼve learned about the Legendary Realms in the Contrast Empire, and I can confirm what Bang has said.”

Manny looked at Swamp Dragon, who looked at Kyle and Star Genesis.

”I believe you,” he said. ”I never couldʼve guessed that there would be a level beyond Unique, but it makes sense. Outstanding Seekers need to be rewarded, but good Seekers should also not aim beyond their level. The existence of the Legendary Realm makes sense, and it also makes sense that it has to be kept secret.”

Swamp Dragon aimlessly looked at the ceiling.

”If thereʼs a chance, I want to try to become Legendary as well. The Crusher Realm seems perfect as my first Legendary Realm.”

Then, he looked at Kyle. ”I also want to make a difference in the world, and if we can change the Secondary Sector, we may also be able to protect weaker people.”

”I also vote for the job of Outsider.”

Finally, everyone looked at Manny, who just sighed. ”Yeah, well, I would still like to be a Trial Scout or Elite Enforcer Trainee, but I think I can also follow you guys. Yes, I also vote for the job of Outsider.”

”Then, weʼre in agreement,” Swamp Dragon said. ”Weʼre going to go to the Secondary Sector, and weʼre going to build a territory of our own.”

Everyone nodded and chose their jobs on the central console.

Moments later, all of them received several gigantic documents with details about their new job.

The group read through the documents and started to plan.
