Chapter 701 Long Transformation

”Are you ready?” the Chief Overseer asked.

Kyle nodded with narrowed eyes.

The two of them had talked quite a bit about Kyleʼs current opponent, who was just the former Duchess of Twilight.

Apparently, she had changed her title after returning to the Supreme World.

She was now called Long Transformation.

Kyle could see where that name came from.

If he remembered right, she had only been a slightly above-average Mortal, but after tens of thousands of years, she managed to become a Legendary Transcendent.

Additionally, the way she fought was also related to transformations.

After Kyle nodded, his surroundings started to warp as the Chief Overseer activated the Teleportation Formation Array.

When the teleportation ended, Kyle found himself on a barren Planet.

No plants, beasts, humans, or any other kind of life.

No rivers, mountains, or fires.

Just a flat plane.

Apparently, these kinds of Planets were mostly used for fights.

Creating an arena big enough for Primals to fight in without any spatial constrictions was too wasteful. That arena would need to be thousands of kilometers wide.

Additionally, what was the point of an arena when there wasnʼt even a big audience?

Kyle and the Chief Overseer waited on the Planet for the other party.

As Kyle waited, he took a deep breath. ʼThis is going to be a weird reunion. She doesnʼt even know that Iʼm from the Array of Stars.ʼ

A couple of minutes of silence passed, and eventually…

The world in front of Kyle distorted, and two people arrived.

One was a taller woman wearing a small crown on her head. She wore a long and luxurious dress with black and white colors.

Kyle had already heard about her.

She was one of the Contrast Empireʼs Countesses.

From what Kyle had heard, Counts of the Contrast Empire were in the Tenth Realm, while Dukes were in the Eleventh Realm.

Kings were in the Twelfth Realm.

As for the Emperor…

He was also in the Twelfth Realm, but there was more to it.

Apparently, the Emperor could reach the Thirteenth Realm, but it wasnʼt possible at this moment.

According to the Chief Overseer, it wasnʼt the Emperorʼs fault that he couldnʼt advance anymore. It was related to something that was out of his control.

The Head of the Array of Stars had the same issue. He also had the power to advance, but something out of his control made it impossible.

The Countess looked at the Chief Overseer with a strict gaze.

She didnʼt even look at Kyle.

However, the other person was very interested in him.

Naturally, the other person was the former Duchess of Twilight, Long Transformation.

She looked at Kyle with narrowed eyes, but Kyle could tell that she was deeply shocked based on her Energy fluctuations.

”So, funny thing,” Kyle transmitted to her. ”Turns out, I was working for the Array of Stars all along.”

Long Transformation looked at Kyle with furrowed brows.

”Kyle Freeman,” she transmitted. ”To think that you would be my opponent.”

”Yep, thatʼs me,” Kyle transmitted back. ”Iʼm also quite surprised. Iʼm also surprised that you became a Legendary Transcendent. I thought you gave up.”

Long Transformationʼs eyes shook for just a moment.

Legendary Transcendent.

The fact that Kyle knew about this concept meant that he was deemed worthy to know these things.

Although being deemed worthy wasnʼt exactly the problem. It was more that telling Seekers who were not Legendary about the existence of a Legendary category of a Realm came with a reduction in Karmic Luck.

This could only mean that Kyle had also become a Legendary Transcendent.

”Donʼt share the existence of the Legendary Realms this easily,” she transmitted to Kyle. ”Your Karmic Luck would have dropped if you had made a mistake in your judgment.”

Kyle shrugged. ”I know, but I was pretty sure that you were one as well. Also, we are about to kill each other, and youʼre still giving me advice?”

Long Transformation closed her eyes.

Yes, what was the point of her giving him advice? She would kill him soon anyway.

”Are you already unlocking your eleventh Cluster?” she asked.

”Yep. Just a couple more decades, and Iʼm done,” Kyle transmitted back.

”Thatʼs faster than me,” she transmitted. ”How long have you been a Primal?”

”A bit more than 1,100 years, I think. Time is weird,” Kyle transmitted.

Long Transformationʼs narrowed eyes relaxed, and she almost seemed a bit sad.

”An 11/13 Primal whoʼs been a Primal for fewer than 1,200 years. Iʼm not sure if Iʼve ever heard about someone like that. I knew that you were talented with your body, but I didnʼt expect you to be that good.”

”You might even become a 13/13 Primal. Do you know how rare those are?”

”Not really,” Kyle transmitted back. ”I donʼt even know what I have to do to become one.”

”Something unreasonably difficult,” she transmitted. ”The thing you have to comprehend to become a 13/13 Primal is one of the things you need to advance inside the Domain Realm. ”

Kyleʼs eyes shot open.

ʼBrah, what? The Domain Realm is the Eighth Realm! They are Spirit Lords! Iʼm just in the Fifth Realm!ʼ

ʼSomething that they need to comprehend to become stronger is something I need to comprehend as a Primal?ʼ

”Thatʼs… okay, sure,” Kyle transmitted, surprised.

”Legendary Primals are exceptionally rare. They are even rarer than Legendary Crushers and Legendary Sages,” she transmitted.

”Is this related to using my Energy in a weird way to improve the power of my attacks without using a Law?” Kyle asked.

Long Transformation looked at Kyle with an expression of regret.

”It might be,” was all she transmitted.

While the two of them were having a happy reunion, the Countess and the Chief Overseer were finalizing the wager.

Both of them had inspected the two combatants while confirming all the rules.

As Long Transformation looked at Kyle, she felt regret.

No matter how this went, it would end in tragedy.

She didnʼt want to kill Kyle, but if she didnʼt do that, she would die.

The two big Organizations wouldnʼt care about their opinions. They had both agreed to fight, and they would be fighting each other to the death.

There was no way out.

One of them would die today.

”The stage is set,” the Countess spoke. ”This entire Planet will be your battlefield. Ascending to a height of 10,000 kilometers will be viewed as forfeiting the fight, and your destiny will be decided by the legal representative of your Organization.”

Naturally, the legal representatives were the Chief Overseer and the Countess.

Kyle would have no say in the matter.

”Do you agree to these terms?” she asked.

”Yes,” Kyle and Long Transformation answered.

”A distance of 2,000 kilometers between combatants is customary,” she said. ”Assume your positions.”

Kyle threw a glance at Long Transformation and flew towards the distance.

Long Transformation closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

”Thatʼs far enough,” Kyle heard the Chief Overseer say in his mind.

”Are both parties ready?” the Countess transmitted.

”Yes,” Kyle answered.

He couldnʼt see Long Transformation with his eyes due to the curvature of the Planet, but he could feel her Energy clearly.

”Yes,” Long Transformation also said.

The next moment, the Chief Overseer and the Countess vanished.

”Begin!”
