Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 707 No Time

”So, the first thing she tells me to do is to kill every single Mortal who went through any kind of ritual, except for the ritual that gives you an Aristocratʼs Body or however that was called,” Kyle said.

Long Transformation took a deep breath.

Right now, both of them were inside Kyleʼs room. Long Transformation had already received her job, Communicator, and tasks. In a couple of days, she would start working.

But first, she wanted to know what had actually happened to Kyle after she had left.

”Every single one?” she asked in shock.

”Every single one,” Kyle answered. ”Hundreds of thousands of people. It was… pretty bad.”

”And you did that?” she asked.

Kyle nodded. ”What else am I supposed to do? Yeah, I wasnʼt the biggest fan of doing that, but Iʼm not about to sacrifice my life for other people.”

Long Transformation sighed. ”I can see where youʼre coming from,” she said before shaking her head. ”Honestly, I canʼt see a reason as to why the Red Witch asked you to change the world this drastically.”

”When I became an Overseer, I slowly changed things. I created the rituals and let things run their course. It took a while, but eventually, there were no more True Transcendents.”

Kyle raised an eyebrow. ”What about the fact that nobody in this world can eat beasts?”

”Also an effect of the rituals,” she said. ”If you have children after you have undergone one of the rituals, your children will also inherit the inability to consume beasts.”

”From time to time, I just had to get rid of some old records, and within a couple of centuries, everyone believed that consuming beast meat was bad. It looked like this had always been the case, and nobody tried it since. Well, there was the occasional person who tried it and succeeded, but information doesnʼt spread very quickly.”

”Of course, my Karmic Luck received quite a heavy hit, but within a couple of centuries, all the Mortals, who had undergone a ritual, were thankful for the rituals, increasing my Karmic Luck again.”

As Kyle watched Long Transformation talk, he got reminded of his time in the Tertiary World.

ʼSheʼs really different,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼAs the Overseer, she seemed almost mystical and all-knowing. There was nothing that could shock or surprise her.ʼ

ʼBut now, she seems kinda uncertain about a lot of things.ʼ

”You changed a lot,” Kyle commented.

Long Transformationʼs eyes defocused, and she just stared into space with a lost expression.

”Things are different, ” she said. ”All of this is unfamiliar territory to me. Things I have believed to be true are no longer true. Things I have believed to be impossible are suddenly possible.”

”Iʼm no longer in the Contrast Empire, which is more than surprising.”

”I feel like everything around me is getting out of control,” she said with furrowed brows.

Kyleʼs brows rose in surprise. ”Out of control?”

Long Transformation nodded. ”I feel like I have no control over my surroundings anymore. I am being sent to different places, and I canʼt tell how things are going to play out in the coming centuries.”

”As an Overseer, I had everything under control. Nobody could do anything without me knowing about it. Now, I donʼt even know what the person in the next room is doing. I donʼt know where Iʼm being sent to. I donʼt know what Iʼm supposed to do.”

Kyle scratched the back of his head. ”Isnʼt that normal?”

”I guess it is,” Long Transformation said. ”Itʼs just… Itʼs so different. Everything is different.”

Then, she looked at Kyle. ”The only thing that hasnʼt changed is you. You still seem to be the same.”

”Kinda,” Kyle said. ”I did learn a couple of things, but I donʼt think I have changed that much.”

”Thatʼs good,” Long Transformation said. ”Itʼs not up to me to decide, but I would want you not to change too much. Stay true to yourself.”

Kyle looked at Long Transformation awkwardly.

That sounded a bit too personal, which made him uncomfortable.

”Iʼll try my best,” he answered.

Long Transformation looked at Kyle for a while, making him even more uncomfortable.

In the end, Long Transformation took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment.

”Apologies, but I want to get ready for my job,” she said as she stood up.

”Oh yeah, sure!” Kyle answered quickly. ”I also have to go back to training.”

Long Transformation looked to the side, her eyes unfocused. ”We are very busy,” she commented. ”We have to focus on our training. If we stop putting in effort, we will be left behind.”

The alarm in Kyleʼs mind went off when he heard these words.

For just a moment, his mind returned to the time he had been with his crazy ex.

”Yes, youʼre absolutely right!” Kyle said, fully agreeing. ”We are way too busy! Gotta keep grinding!”

Long Transformation took a deep breath before sighing. ”Yes, youʼre right,” she said.

Then, she looked at Kyle with a friendly smile. ”Thank you for sharing your story with me. Iʼm looking forward to our cooperation as Crushers. ”

Kyle nodded. ”See you! Good luck!”

Long Transformation also nodded before leaving the room.

After Long Transformation had left, Kyle took a deep breath.

ʼI feel like Iʼve dodged a bullet. I donʼt know what kind of bullet Iʼve dodged, but Iʼm glad I dodged it.ʼ

ʼSad that I didnʼt get to finish my story. I guess sheʼs just too busy. Although Iʼm also super busy.ʼ

ʼAnyway, I got time now. No more duties until Iʼm a Crusher. Almost 900 years of pure hammer swinging are left!ʼ

ʼMy eleventh Cluster will unlock in about 50 or 60 years, and then, I can finally unlock my twelfth Cluster. Not sure how long that is going to take, but nobody ever mentioned that time is a limiting factor for the twelfth Cluster. Might just take a couple of decades.ʼ

ʼI should focus on my hammer for the next 60 years or so. Then, I will deal with the twelfth Cluster, and afterwards…ʼ

ʼJust hammer.ʼ

ʼInfinite hammer.ʼ

ʼWell, kinda infinite.ʼ

Kyle took out his hammer and returned to hitting the flying mannequins.

He wanted to get a bit better at increasing the speed of his hammer.

ʼI donʼt think I can increase the physical weight of my hammer by using Energy. That would be weird. However, I can increase its speed and its Energy weight.ʼ

ʼIf I manage to push both of them to the peak, I might be able to combine them. At that point, my attacks would become crazily strong!ʼ

ʼJust gotta keep going.ʼ

For the next couple of decades, Kyle trained with the mannequins.

He got a bit better at using his hammer, but before he could make any real headway, his eleventh Cluster unlocked.

All the pain inside Kyleʼs mind suddenly vanished, and he felt his body explode with power.

Kyle performed a practice swing, and his eyes quickly widened.

ʼWait, what?ʼ he thought before swinging again.

ʼBro, why is this suddenly so easy?!ʼ Kyle thought.
