Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1808: Chapter 1807: Curse to Your Heart’s Content

“What?” The doctor and the nurses froze in surprise when they heard it. “Why are you cursing?”

“I’m not cursing at you.” Gu Shuangshuang’s heart was overflowing with anger. “I’m cursing that damn Tian Niu! You bastard! You’re awful! I hate you!”

Her outburst left the doctors stunned. “Gu Shuangshuang, stop cursing. You need to conserve your strength right now! You have to push with us. If you can’t deliver the baby, both you and the child will be in danger! We’ve already consulted with your family! They were unanimous—if it comes to a critical moment, we’ll save the mother!”

“Save the mother? No way! The baby… I want my baby… both must stay alive.” Gu Shuangshuang gritted her teeth, tears brimming, as she shouted stubbornly.

“You see? She’s shouting, still cursing! That means she has energy! Push! Push~!” the doctor yelled.

At that moment, the waning contractions suddenly surged again. Gu Shuangshuang felt an overwhelming force pulling downwards. She couldn’t help but press on with all her energy, all the while continuing to yell at Tian Niu.

“Bastard! Treating me like a pig!”

“Bastard! Bastard! I told you I didn’t want to eat, but you kept forcing me!”

“I ate, I ate, now I’m as round as a ball, and it’s a difficult birth…”

The stronger the contractions grew, the more unbearable it became for Gu Shuangshuang. The more pain she felt, the louder and fiercer her verbal tirade became.

“Stop cursing already. Every woman in the world gives birth! You’re the first one I’ve seen act like this! Just shut your mouth and focus on delivering the baby!” the nurse scolded her in a low voice.

“Let her curse!” The doctor had never encountered anything like this before. The more she cursed, the more energized she became. The baby had already started crowning, and if things continued at this rate, the delivery might go smoothly and quickly.

Gu Shuangshuang’s voice grew louder and louder, to the point where it could be heard clearly outside the delivery room.

Tian Niu, hearing that she still had the strength to curse him, felt the piercing pain in his heart suddenly ease. He quickly wiped his tears, rushed to the door of the delivery room, and gripped the crack tightly, shouting inside.

“Shuangshuang, keep cursing me! I deserve it! Curse me however you want! As long as you safely deliver the baby, I’ll be your servant for life, take all your bullying—I’ll take anything!”

“Who’s bullying you… ah… who told you to act like my servant? I don’t need that…”

“Yes, yes, yes!”

“I told you I didn’t want to eat… didn’t want to eat… but you insisted on feeding me. Now the baby’s too big… the difficult birth is your fault…”

“It’s my fault! It’s my fault!”

“You bastard!”

“Yes, yes, bastard!”

“You…”

Gu Shuangshuang’s cursing suddenly stopped. The delivery room fell into a chilling silence.

“What’s wrong? Shuangshuang, what’s wrong?” Tian Niu panicked, his face pale with fear, his legs turning rubbery.

He would rather hear Gu Shuangshuang curse him endlessly than face this dead silence. It was terrifying.

“Shuangshuang… my daughter… what’s wrong?” Duan Aihua broke out of Li Youjun’s comforting grasp and rushed to the delivery room door, pounding on it frantically.

Suddenly, they heard a heart-wrenching scream from inside the room. Then, moments later, the crisp cry of a baby echoed from the delivery room.

“It’s born! It’s born!” Duan Aihua burst into tears, then quickly turned joyful. She looked back at Tian Niu, whose face was streaked with tears, and exclaimed, “You’re a father now! Shuangshuang delivered the baby!”

“Shuangshuang! Thank you!” Tian Niu barely managed to get the words out before he completely broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.
