At this moment…

Unbeknownst to anyone, within the Garden of Eden, the Small World where the Imperial Artifact slumbered…

*Drip… drip…* Steady and rhythmic sounds of water dripping in a pond echoed, while golden rays of lights converged from all directions. In fact, it was these golden rays that were condensing into drops, that were falling within a golden well.

This golden well was the Well of Light, the very foundation of the Angel Clan. Each golden drop within the drop was the condensation of the lifelong faith of 129,600 purest believers.

Even with decades of accumulation, the Well of Light was only half-filled.

As a matter of fact, the energy required to fill the Well of Light grew exponentially as it neared completion. Legend had it that the last time the Well of Light was completely filled was during the Age of Light, an era when the Angel Clan ruled supreme.

Even during that age, it had taken the entire Angel Clan millions of years to fill it completely. This alone was a proof in itself of the unimaginable energy contained within the Well of Light.

It was the true foundation of the Angel Clan. Its energy was what made it possible to awaken the Imperial Artifact.

At this moment, above the Well of Light, the Tier-6 Overlord, Seraphim stood with eight radiant wings unfurled wide and his arms outstretched, framed against a magnificent cross.

His eyes were filled with purity and sanctity, emanating a divine majesty.

Vaguely, a colossal figure manifested behind him, towering into Heaven, its sanctity far surpassing even that of Seraphim.

Even the usually mischievous True Spirit of the Imperial Artifact, the child-like figure, momentarily displayed a look of nostalgia when gazing at the figure.

That was the Lord, the most powerful being ever recorded in the Angel Clan’s history, who was believed to have created the entire Angel Clan.

As told in the Angel Clan’s lore, the Lord pierced the veil of reality and illusion, peeking into countless epochs. In an act of compassion for all living beings and to save the world, the Lord sacrificed himself to ensure the Angel Clan’s survival through the epochs.

This allowed Mortals to continue their redemption and pursue their salvation. Meanwhile, the Angel Clan remained eternal, standing lofty across all epochs.

This secret, this profound truth, was perhaps why higher races could stand at the pinnacle of existence across ages.

Behind each of these higher races stood an incomprehensible being who sacrificed themselves—or employed some other means—to ensure the survival of their lineage and bloodline.

The Angel Clan had the Lord.

The Dragon Clan had Ancestral Dragon.

The Divine Titan Clan had Pangu.

Each and every single one of them was a mighty being who had secured the continuation of their race across the ages. Their essence was deeply ingrained in the Bloodline of their race, as if in slumber, or perhaps waiting for the right time.

…

“My Lord… we, the Angel Clan, are facing a dire crisis. Only your power can deliver us salvation…” With a flawless Physique, a face of unmatched beauty, and an aura of inviolable holiness, Seraphim raised his arms and called out to Heaven.

At the drop of his words…

*Booooom…* A deafening roar suddenly erupted, while a golden pillar of light surged forth from the Well of Light. The pillar shot straight into Heaven, as if connecting the sky and the ground.

At the same time…

*Booooom…* Sixteen radiant wings shook violently, before one of them erupted with a divine brilliance, and shot straight into the golden light pillar in a split second.

*Boooooom…* And as the sixteen wings unfurled, storms surged across the Garden of Eden.

The Imperial Artifact, the legendary weapon of myth, thanks to the energy provided by the Well of Light, finally began its true awakening.

*Boooooooom…* The terrifying roar continued to shake the entire Small World.

The world quaked, and amidst it, faintly, sixteen ethereal wings emerged behind Seraphim, shimmering with an otherworldly brilliance.

“Seraphim , I have granted you my strength. The rest is up to you.” A majestic voice echoed across the sky. It was the True Spirit of the Imperial Artifact. It was the child-like phantom, whispering softly.

“Yes, Lord Imperial Artifact.” Seraphim responded with calm and collected determination, a shadow of smile playing upon his lips as he felt the unprecedented surge of power coursing through him.

With the Imperial Artifact’s blessing, his strength swelled endlessly, as if without limit, expanding to unimaginable heights.

Unfortunately…

He was still far too weak, so weak that he was incapable of bearing the full might of the Imperial Artifact. At best, he could only carry a projection of its power.

Had he been stronger, his power would have skyrocketed exponentially.

Realizing his lack of strength, Seraphim whispered to himself with determination, “I will grow stronger, until the day I can truly wield the Imperial Artifact.”

It was a promise and a vow.

Raising his gaze, Seraphim fixed his sights on the battlefield of the Void Invasion.

*Hmph!* With a soft snort, the sixteen ethereal wings behind him trembled mightily, and Seraphim ‘s figure vanished instantly.

His speed was terrifying, utterly so. Not only were his movements impossible to catch with the naked eye, but also beyond the grasp of heightened senses.

Even more chilling was how he passed through the barrier separating Garden of Eden, this Small World, and Lumina Sanctis as though it didn’t exist.

“So, this is your power.” A gentle sigh escaped from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, tinged with awe.

“Hahaha…” The child-like phantom figure smiled faintly, a trace of self-mockery in his tone. “If this were truly our power, we would have long been subdued by all the other races… This is not even one-billionth of it… But to deal with a Tier-6 Void Creature, it should suffice…”

…

Meanwhile, at the Void Vortex’s opening—

*Booooom, booooom, boooooom…* Mighty and thunderous clashes shook the world as Yu Zi Yu and the Archangel Michael were locked in a heated combat.

The Void Energy collided with the Power of Order, creating shockwaves that rippled outward in all directions.

The terrifying aftershocks swept across tens of thousands of kilometers , forcing countless Void Creatures and even Angels to flee desperately.

Before these Tier-6 Overlords, they were nothing more than Ants. The mere shockwaves from their clashes could annihilate them.

At this moment, Void Creatures dared not descend through the swirling Void Vortex.

Only Yu Zi Yu’s gargantuan Dragon Body steadily emerged from the vortex.

*Rooooaar…* Yu Zi Yu’s Purple Dragon Form let out a majestic Dragon’s roar, its huge draconic pupils burning with fiery determination.

[Soon… Very soon… This form will break free from Void Space. When that moment arrives, I will be able to wreak havoc to my heart’s content. Like a Dragon rising into Heaven after years of confinement, I’ll be completely unstoppable!]

However, just as Yu Zi Yu was consumed by rare excitement—

*Boooooooom…* Yu Zi Yu’s massive Purple Dragon Form, coiled in the sky, suddenly shuddered violently, followed by a thunderous explosion that silenced the entire world.

A large, bowl-sized depression, visible to the naked eyes, appeared on one of his scales. Furthermore, the depression was deepening rapidly.

*Booooooom…* Dazzling golden light started gathering within the depression, before erupting into a pillar of light, which struck Yu Zi Yu’s Dragon Form with unrelenting force, ignoring the protective cover of the Violet Void Energy Shield.

*Rooooaar…* A painful cry escaped Yu Zi Yu’s Purple Dragon Form, its features distorting.

An excruciating pain overwhelmed Yu Zi Yu’s senses, a pain so terrible that it was almost unbearable.

Shortly afterward, Yu Zi Yu finally noticed a massive golden beam of light, nearly a hundred meters thick, piercing through the Void Energy Barrier around his body, and striking him.

[Faster than the speed of light?] Reeling in disbelief, Yu Zi Yu’s enormous Purple Dragon Form, now mostly out of the Void Vortex, was forced to retreat. He was flung backward like a kite with a broken string, knocked back into Void Space.

Given Yu Zi Yu’s formidable strength, such an attack failed to break his defenses. Thus, the impact did not cause any grievous injuries, though Yu Zi Yu could not ignore the speed of the attack. It was too fast, so fast that even he, with all his fearsome strength and perception, had been unable to react in time.

However, what truly infuriated him, igniting his towering rage, was the fact that after all the painstaking effort he had put into squeezing his massive body out of the Void Vortex, most of it had been undone in an instant. A significant part of his massive form had been knocked back into the Void.

*Roooooaar…* A furious Dragon Roar reverberated across the world as Yu Zi Yu’s fury surged to its beak.

At the same time, a visible change started occurring on his Purple Dragon Form. At the center of his brow, a faint blood-red scar began to purple ominously.

Slowly, the scar split apart, revealing a blood-red eye that opened between the forehead of Purple Dragon.
