One after another, streams of mist, flowing like water, all surged toward the bodies of the Light and Dark Twin Kings.

Among the countless Mist Beasts, only the Twin Kings possessed a trace of intelligence; the rest were no different than puppets.

Now, as Yu Zi Yu upgraded the Immortal Mist Beasts, the core of this process was the ascension of the Light and Dark Twin Kings.

After all, below Tier-7, all were Ants, this saying held true even at Tier-6.

No matter how many Tier-3, Tier-4, or even Tier-5 Mist Beasts there were, they could never compare to two Tier-6 Mist Beasts.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu’s method of enhancing the Immortal Mist Beasts was to gather the power of the countless Mist Beasts into one, culminating in the creation of the Light and Dark Twin Kings.

*Rooooaar…* A terrifying roar reverberated through the depths of the Tree Realm.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the Light and Dark Twin Kings started swelling continuously, at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Adding more to the dread, the aura radiating from them was getting more and more terrifying.

*Rooooaar…* Another deafening roar echoed across the skies as one of the Twin Kings stepped forward.

It was a Golden Kangaroo, yet its form bore a remarkable resemblance to a Human—about 70-80%.

Its golden fur shimmered brilliantly under the sunlight, radiating an almost divine glow.

Its sharp, intelligent eyes glimmered with an otherworldly wisdom, while its lean, muscular frame exuded raw, explosive power, speaking volumes of what true strength was.

At this moment…

*Thump…* Another footstep resounded as another figure emerged from the depths of the Tree Realm.

This one had black fur that shimmered faintly with an eerie, ghostly glow. Its blood-red eyes burned with unbridled ferocity, exuding a primal, menacing aura.

Its frame, even more imposing, was packed with bulging, almost engorged muscles. The sheer sight of its hulking Physique was enough to send shivers down the spine of anyone who beheld it.

Moreover, compared to their previously somewhat ethereal forms, their bodies were now noticeably more solid.

At a glance, even Yu Zi Yu himself could not tell whether they were phantoms or real, tangible entities.

“So, this is the current state of the Light and Dark Twin Kings…” murmured Yu Zi Yu, brimming with satisfaction.

Two Tier-6 Overlords, born solely as a manifestation of his ability—the implications were crystal clear.

The result of upgrading his Immortal Mist Beasts brought a smile on Yu Zi Yu’s face. Now, it was time to really check the actual effect.

Yu Zi Yu squinted his eyes and focused his attention on their status screen.

Though the Light and Dark Twin Kings were extensions of Yu Zi Yu’s ability, the fact that they possessed a sliver of sentience granted them a status screen of their own.

Now, they were akin to ‘summons,’ unique existences belonging exclusively to Yu Zi Yu.

As such, their existence relied heavily on Yu Zi Yu. They couldn’t stray far from him for extended periods, nor could they exist independently. The range of their movement was limited to the Tree Realm. Assigning tasks outside it would be extremely troublesome.

Therefore, their primary roles were combat and protection.

Settling his thoughts, Yu Zi Yu drew a long, deep breath, and finally set his sight on their much-awaited status screens.

Race: Immortal Mist Beast

Rank: Tier-6, Early Stage

Innate Talent: Spectral Displacement — They possess a form that can easily shift between tangible and intangible stats. When tangible, they become the king of close combat, wielding the most fearsome combat techniques honed from the experiences of countless Mist Beasts. Every punch and palm strike is lethal. When intangible, they transform into a vast sea of mist, blanketing mountains and rivers. This form not only confuses the enemy’s senses but they could transform into poisonous mist capable of annihilating all.

Unique Abilities:

Unmatched Combat Skills — As a natural-born combat species—the Kangaroo Race, and a Mist Beast born by countless Remnant Souls has endowed them with extraordinary and precise combat techniques.

Mist Transformation—They can transform into an endless mist to evade attacks.

Fearless — As a puppet-like being, they’re immune to fear and resistant to 80% of mental attacks.

Mist Control — As Mist Beasts, they can command the mist to attack and defend at will.

Poisonous Mist — Transforms the mist into a toxic vapor one so toxic that it can even dissolve their foes to a gooey mass.

After going through their status screen, Yu Zi Yu’s lips could not help but curl into a satisfied smile.

He found the entire trade, sacrificing countless Mist Beasts to create two pinnacle combatants, unquestionably profitable.

Here, ‘pinnacle combatants’ naturally referred to the hierarchy in the universe in this era.

In today’s world, Tier-6 combat strength was sufficient to be deemed ‘pinnacle.’

As for an existence like Yu Zi Yu, he was an anomaly.

Were it not for the deterrence of Imperial Artifacts and the deep foundations of the various races, Yu Zi Yu would not fear anyone.

Unfortunately, as someone who had risen from wilderness all alone, Yu Zi Yu could not compare to the immense legacies of races that spanned countless eras.

This disparity was the main reason he remained low-key and quietly built his strength.

After all, Yu Zi Yu was a Divine Tree on the path to transcendence.

The Myriad Races kept a close watch on him, making it unwise to draw too much attention.

For an entity like him, lacking absolute power would inevitably lead to him being torn apart.

Even with some power, he still had to consider the possibility of the races joining forces against him…

In the end, being a Divine Tree on the path to transcendence wasn’t easy.

One should not be fooled by the courteous treatment he and his Demon Court currently received from the various races.

If they ever found a weakness, they’d show up the next day, Imperial Artifacts in hand, to bring him down.

This was precisely why Yu Zi Yu had long been plotting against the Myriad Races.

Rather than passively waiting for them to come knocking, it was better to strike first.

Even if he couldn’t act openly, he could stir up trouble for them in the shadows, diverting their focus.

With a cold smile in his heart, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted back to the Light and Dark Twin Kings, who stood silently on either side of him, like loyal guards protecting Yu Zi Yu.

“You two… will be my hidden trump card against the Angel Clan,” Yu Zi Yu murmured softly, a sharp glint flickering in the depths of his eyes.

Openly, he had the two Void Emperors—the Purple Dragon and the Amethyst Emperor—leading the charge.

In the shadows, the Light and Dark Twin Kings, a pair of Tier-6 Overlords, lay in wait.

With such a formidable lineup, Yu Zi Yu could not help but wonder, [Could the Angel Clan truly withstand this onslaught?]

Logically, it seemed improbable. After all, on the surface, the Angel Clan boasted only a single Tier-6 Overlord. Even if the Divine Angel, the Lord of the City of Angels, has indeed stepped into Tier-6, that only makes two…

[Forget it. Speculation won’t help.] Yu Zi Yu thought with a soft sigh, dismissing his idle musings.

[Without setting foot in the Angel Clan’s domain, I can’t be certain of their true strength. Instead of guessing, it’s far more practical to analyze the intelligence gathered by the Demon Court and agents like Moonshadow Reaper before finalizing my plans.]

With this thought, a faint smile played on Yu Zi Yu’s lips, his mind settling.

[Judging by the timeline, Seven and Moonshadow Reaper should be close to delivering their report.]
