Chapter 1008, Half-Step Supreme

The ‘True Lord’ was synonymous with the ‘Lord.’

In the Angel Clan, He symbolized omniscience and omnipotence, the creator and pillar of the universe.

Some Angels even claim that the Lord was the universe itself.

Interestingly, the Angels’ ‘Lord’ bore a striking resemblance to the descriptions of Tier-9 beings found across various races’ fragmented accounts.

Both were omniscient and omnipotent. Both were revered as almighty creators.

Because of this, all races firmly believed in the existence of Tier-9 beings—terrifying entities on the verge of Supremacy.

However, such beings were so scary and overwhelming that even the universe itself could not contain their physical forms. They were so terrifying that the mere whisper of their true name could shatter one’s Soul.

Among the mysteries scattered through the ages, traces of such beings do exist.

The Angel Clan’s Lord…

Buddhism’s Shakyamuni…

The founder of Taoism, the one who created the Grand Divine Ability, One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones…

Of course, these were mere speculations of the Myriad Races.

It was far more likely that these figures had not yet achieved Supremacy, but rather, they vastly outmatch the typical Tier-8 Eternal.

Such beings were beyond the comprehension of Mortals.

Thus, many Mortals suspect that they had achieved Supremacy.

This notion was also reflected in the hierarchy of realms.

Above Tier-6, there was the so-called ‘Half-Step Hegemon.’

Above Tier-7, there was the ‘Half-Step Eternal.’

Similarly, it stands to reason that above Tier-8, there could exist a ‘Half-Step Supreme.’

So, legendary figures like the Lord and Shakyamuni may very well be such ‘Half-Step Supremes.’

Tragically, no one truly knew.

Hegemons, Eternals, and even Supremes far surpassed the imagination of Mortals. They existed on an entirely different level. How could Mortals possibly fathom them?

For instance, a Hegemon’s casual breath might obliterate Mortals from the face of this world.

This alone illustrated the unfathomable gap between these realms.

Just as Ants cannot comprehend the sights seen by Elephants, how could mere Mortals—or even someone as extraordinary as Yu Zi Yu—grasp the visions of those in the Realm of Hegemony or Eternal Realm, let alone those beyond?

…

At this moment…

“Lord of Corruption…” softly murmuring, Avril streaked across the Void Space, heading toward the colossal Purple Dragon, leaving a trail of afterimages.

*Booooom…* With a deafening boom, Avril came to a halt beside the Dragon’s mountainous head, standing silently as if guarding something.

At this moment, if one were to follow Avril’s gaze, they would discover something shocking: Countless strange and grotesque Void Creatures were prostrating in the Void Space.

These were the Void Creatures who had gathered here after hearing Yu Zi Yu’s call.

Most of them, however, were not particularly strong, generally only Tier-3.

They had yet to exit the Void Space and occupy suitable physical vessels.

As such, their forms and appearances were grotesque and terrifying, far beyond imagination.

The Void Creatures were undeniably hideous.

Some resembled nothing more than massive writhing worms. These were among the most common Void Creatures—the infamous Void Worms or Space Worms, who were able to carve Void Channels within the Void Space.

If there were enough Void Worms, they might even pierce through a corner of Void Space, allowing Void Creatures to emerge into the material world.

However, such occurrences were rare and unpredictable.

After all, the barrier between the Void Space and the universe remained thick and impenetrable.

And now… Avril stood silently beside Yu Zi Yu’s massive Purple Dragon Form, vigilantly guarding against any disturbances.

“To guard is my duty…” softly murmuring, Avril slightly folded her wings. Then, she brought her hands together, while a long purple spear adorned with intricate patterns materialized in her grasp.

At that moment, anyone observing Avril would think she resembled a Guardian Angel standing watch over the statue of the Lord.

Yet sadly, she was no longer the Angel Clan’s most sacred Guardian Angel.

Nor was she guarding the Lord.

Instead, she now served an entity who had yet to make a name for itself across the universe—the Lord of Corruption, who seemed to be born to oppose the Lord.

Their clash would be fiercer than the eternal clash of light and darkness.

The Lord represented the endless light, while the Lord of Corruption embodied the Profound Void Space.

The Void Space opposed just not the light but all other forces of nature.

The Void Energy transcended Darkness, yet it was more insidious and malevolent than the Darkness itself.

Energy, in essence, had no inherent morality, yet the Void Energy defied this principle. Its ability to corrupt both body and Soul far surpassed that of any other force.

…

Time slipped by, and several days had passed…

Until one day…

*Booooom…* A sudden explosion resounded, jolting Yu Zi Yu out of his meditative state.

“What’s this…?” With a soft murmur, Yu Zi Yu slowly opened his eyes. His Purple Dragon Form’s pupils turned toward a corner of Void Space.

In the next moment, his gaze pierced through time and space, locking onto a catastrophic tempest raging within the Void Space.

A storm was raging, stirring up the Void Energy across an expanse of over 100,000 meters.

The tempest of Void Energy churned, roared, and raged, as if celebrating something monumental.

At this moment, if one looked closer, they would spot a petite purple figure within the towering purple storm, tilting its head back and roaring toward the sky.

*Rooooooaar…* An astonishing roar reverberated, as the petite figure’s thin, translucent wings, resembling cicada wings, suddenly unfolded.

Simultaneously, the figure’s entire being began to absorb Void Energy like a whale swallowing water.

Countless streams of Void Energy transformed into torrents, surging into its body.

“Another Void Emperor…” A sigh escaped from a passing Void Creature, who looked in awe toward the storm’s center.

Then, without hesitation, it turned and rushed in Yu Zi Yu’s direction.

For now, it followed the oldest Void Emperor. Staying too long in another Void Emperor’s domain could easily lead to its death without even understanding why.

However, what left this Tier-5 Void Creature astonished was that a single Star Domain had produced two Void Emperors in rapid succession.

This was far from good news.

Two tigers cannot share one mountain.

In a single Star Domain, the emergence of two Void Emperors would naturally demand the establishment of dominance.

And such a struggle, if mishandled, could very well ignite a direct war!
