Spiritual Energy surged, while piercing Fox’s calls continued to reverberate through the mountains.

The red vortex had spanned across the entire sky. Within this red vortex, Nine Tails’ figure intermittently appeared, weaving through the depths of the clouds.

If one paid attention, he or she would notice that Nine Tails had grown a third tail at some point.

This new tail was fluffy and enormous, and as dazzling as the flame itself. At the same time, terrifying waves of Spiritual Energy spread into the surroundings, becoming stronger and larger with each passing moment.

100,000…

120,000…

150,000…

In just a few breaths, Nine Tails’ Spiritual Energy had increased to a staggering 170,000

“Master…” calling in a pleasantly surprised voice, a Fox with dazzling fiery fur suddenly poked its head out from the depths of the clouds.

Then, in front of Yu Zi Yu’s delighted eyes, it shot downward. From afar, it looked like a streak of fiery light. It was both gorgeous and beautiful.

“You succeeded!?”

Watching Nine Tails’ visibly transformed aura, Yu Zi Yu was relieved. All his care and attention during the past month had not been in vain; the young Fox had successfully broken through.

Then, Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes slightly as a series of information appeared before his eyes.

Race: Celestial Fox

Rank: Tier-2 Transcendent

Bloodline Talent: It can grow an additional tail with each advancement, each tail carrying a formidable talent.

Unique Abilities: Enchanting Eyes — Its gorgeous eyes are the treasures of the world with the mystical power of bewitching.

Flame Mastery — It can control flames to a certain extent.

Flaming Claws — It claws entwined in flames are so hot that they can easily tear through metals.

Flame Cloak — Its fiery red fur is ablaze with wisps of flames. Anyone who touches it will be burned.

Speech — It has developed a strange bone, which allows it to speak all kinds of languages, even Human languages.

Flame Rush — Using flames as footholds, it can significantly increase its speed, even achieving explosive acceleration.

Flight — By utilizing Spiritual Energy, it can fly in the sky, although it has a considerable requirement for Spiritual Energy.

Yu Zi Yu stared at Nine Tails’ status screen in a daze, astonished.

“Flight…” murmuring, Yu Zi Yu looked at Nine Tails as she descended from the sky, seemingly walking on air, with an expression of wonder on his face.

[Could it be that Tier-2 Transcendents can fly?] The concept of flight was not strange to Yu Zi Yu. In the Era of Transcendence, flying in the air should be very common.

Only, he was a bit curious about at which Tier Transcendents would be able to fly.

For instance, he, as a Willow Tree, would still find it incredibly challenging to fly even if he became a Tier-3 Transcendent. While Mutant Beasts like Panda, who was already a Tier-2 Transcendent, was also unable to fly.

This led Yu Zi Yu to conclude that Mutant Beasts could only gain the ability to fly after becoming Tier-3 Transcendents.

However, seeing that Nine Tails, a Tier-2 Transcendent, was able to tread the air, Yu Zi Yu felt uncertain.

“Is it because Nine Tails is a Celestial Fox? Or, can most Transcendent Creatures fly at Tier-2?” Yu Zi Yu muttered to himself, his eyes sparkling with intrigue.

And at this moment…

*Boom!* With a resounding boom, a fiery figure had flown into Yu Zi Yu’s embrace.

Several branches intertwined, catching this Red Fox, which now seemed a bit smaller than before. Yu Zi Yu’s eyes sparkled with curiosity.

Compared to before, Nine Tails’ fur felt even softer now. Furthermore, she also felt very warm when he touched her.

“Master.” Gently calling, Nine Tails spoke in a Human-like voice, “I’ve awakened a new Innate Talent this time.”

“A new Innate Talent!?” Listening to Nine Tails’ proud tone, Yu Zi Yu also became curious and asked, “What Innate Talent is that?”

“Precise Control, which is a deeper application of Spiritual Energy.” Saying so, when Nine Tails found Yu Zi Yu still puzzled, she continued explaining, “With this talent, my Spiritual Energy consumption will decrease by 20-30%, but, more importantly, my control over Spiritual Energy will reach a very delicate level.”

Having explained, Nine Tails suddenly freed herself from the entwining branches, lightly kicked the ground before fiery red lotuses suddenly bloomed in the air.

And using these fiery-red lotuses as foothold, Nine Tails moved through the air, seemingly stepping on thin air.

“Hehe…” With a triumphant laughter, as melodious as the tinkling of silver bells, Nine Tails began to run freely around Yu Zi Yu’s tree body, casting waves of fire one after another.

“Is the secret to flying in the precise control of Spiritual Energy?” Musing, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes brightened.

[In that case, flying would be challenging for most ordinary Mutant Beasts. And not just Mutant Beasts, it will be true for Humans as well. Without a long period of training, it would be extremely difficult to fly in the sky. Furthermore, there’s one glaring issue, flying consumes a considerable amount of Spiritual Energy.]

In just a few minutes, Yu Zi Yu noticed that Nine Tails’ breathing was somewhat ragged.

“Alright, you’re exhausted. Go and rest.” With a gentle motion of his branches, he caught Nine Tails, sighing in helplessness.

“Master, you’ve been thinking about other things all along without even looking at me.” Seemingly reproaching him, Nine Tails’ words were filled with dissatisfaction. Be that as it may, she nuzzled affectionately against Yu Zi Yu’s tree body.

“I was pondering whether your ability to fly could be shared,” Yu Zi Yu explained, a smile gracing his lips. “If that were possible, it would greatly enhance our Misty Mountains’ aerial combat capabilities.”

“Can it be taught?” Nine Tails asked curiously, her eyes flickering brightly.

“No,” Yu Zi Yu shook his head and honestly replied, “From what I just discovered, your control of Spiritual Energy is no less than mine. Although I haven’t honed my control of Spiritual Energy by that much, I’m not lacking in that department either. So, it can be inferred that true flight is likely a hallmark of Tier-3 Transcendents.”

At this point, an awkward look appeared on his face.

[The hallmark of Tier-3 Transcendents… Haaa…] He had already become a Tier-3 Transcendent, yet moving was a daunting task for him, much less flying through the air.

In other words, flight was only a distant dream for him.

Nonetheless, he could do nothing about it. As a tree, he had to follow the rules of a tree. Currently, he has not practiced enough to be able to leave the ground and root himself in the air.

Yu Zi Yu speculated that once he could anchor himself in the air, drawing upon the Spiritual Energy in the air to nourish his growth, he could truly detach himself from the ground and attain the ability to fly.
