At a distant mountain range, vines of large trees were intertwined with each other, creating a layer after layer of intricate net that resembled the dark green depths of the sea, through which not even a ray of light could pass through.

What was even more terrifying was the eerie and mysterious mist that rose from all around the mountains.

From afar, this mountain range seemed like a monstrous giant ready to devour anyone, sending chills through one’s spine.

In this Era of Transcendence, everything was evolving.

Trees were no exception, but sentient trees like Yu Zi Yu were extremely rare, almost non-existent.

And at this moment…

*Tap, tap tap…* With heavy footsteps, one after another dark figures emerged in the darkness of the night. Their green eyes were glowing with greed, while their crimson pupils were filled with ferocity and madness.

If someone were here, they would undoubtedly gasp in astonishment.

It was because these dark figures were different types of Mutant Beasts.

There was a pack of azure-colored giant Wolves, a White Tiger that was so huge that it looked no different than a hill, and a lot more…

One terrifying Mutant Beast after another appeared side by side from the darkness of the night. Furthermore, their footsteps appeared to be coordinated.

At a glance, it looked like a formation of an Army.

*Awooo…* A Wolf’s howl pierced the air as the frontmost azure-colored giant Wolf leaped out of the pack.

Then, it let out a few growls at the Wild Buffalo walking in the middle.

“That’s quick, they’ve already found their prey?” Bull Demon chuckled, a bit surprised by the keen sense of smell of the Storm Wolves.

However, it was not the time to be surprised by such things.

Bull Demon exchanged a glance with his Third Brother, the White Tiger, and the two beasts nodded in unison.

*Rooaar* Suddenly, a Tiger’s roar shook the air as the White Tiger leaped several meters high and disappeared into the dense forest, leaving a white blur.

In a moment…

*Tap, tap tap…* Half of the azure-colored wolves in the pack rushed out one after another, following closely behind the White Tiger.

However, they weren’t there to help the White Tiger with the hunt. They were worried that there would be too many prey and the White Tiger would not be able to carry them all.

In other words, their task this time was to take the captured prey back to Misty Mountains.

As for hunting, this group of Elder Brothers could handle it just fine.

And at this moment, without any growls or any sound, a small, dark gold figure jumped down from Bull Demon’s back.

“Second Brother, I’ll go ahead.”

“Go on.” Nodding, Bull Demon glanced at the Golden Ant and reminded him, which he rarely did, “Be careful and don’t provoke beings that are too powerful.”

“Okay.” Nodding slightly, the Golden Ant’s feet tapped the ground a bit.

*Boom!*

Accompanied by a terrifying tremor, the ground sank, leaving a huge crater.

“Uh…”

The eyes of the pack of Storm Wolves flickered with shock as they shrunk their necks.

Obviously, this scene had left a significant impact on the Storm Wolves.

Be that as it may, they were still comrades.

The Storm Wolves exchanged glances before following closely behind their Fifth Brother, the Golden Ant.

It was worth mentioning that by relying on the habits of the Wolf pack, the original four Storm Wolves had now grown in number to around 50-60.

This was already the largest Wolf pack in the vicinity. Of course, this size was far from the scale of the Wolf calamity that currently plagued the prairies of China. However, cooperating with Bull Demon, White Tiger, and the others, they were more than capable of capturing the prey.

…

In the middle of the night, this part of the forest was completely silent, as if dead.

However, at this moment…

*Rooaar*

A mournful wail suddenly broke the silence, but was abruptly cut off.

Looking up, a small golden figure slowly descended from the sky, and right before him…

*Bam!*

A huge Brown Bear slowly fell to the ground with a resounding thud. Surprisingly, the center of this Brown Bear’s forehead was riddled with a spider’s web-like cracks.

It looked extremely horrifying.

The Golden Ant did not speak a word. Actually, the Golden Ant’s personality was even colder than Sarcosuchus’.

“…” Turning his head, the Golden Ant looked at the pairs of green eyes behind him before taking another step, heading deeper into the dense forest.

This Brown Bear was only a Tier-0 Level 4 Mutant Beast. Compared to the target he truly wanted, it was really nothing.

A trace of crimson glow flickered in his eyes as the Golden Ant’s legs kicked the ground again.

*Boom*

Shaking the ground once again, the Golden Ant turned into a dark golden streak of light.

…

At another mountain peak…

*Rooaar*

A Tiger’s roar shook the forest, and immediately after, a huge figure resembling a small mountain descended from the night sky, breaking countless towering trees in the vicinity of where he landed.

However, at this moment…

*Rooaar*

Another Tiger’s roar reverberated across the forest as a Yellow Tiger emerged from the fallen ancient trees.

“Hmph!” Snorting, White Tiger showed no mercy.

Rather he waved with his claws.

*Squish* Immediately, five streaks of white light fiercely attacked the Yellow Tiger.

A mountain could not have two Tigers, unless it was a pair of a male and female.

Obviously, this Tiger was not a female. Since it wasn’t a female, it could only become prey.

*Roar, Roar, Roar…* Immediately, mournful cries filled the air. The Yellow Tiger had no time to dodge.

Facing the White Tiger who was already at Tier-0 Level 9, this Tier-0 Level 7 Yellow Tiger could only mount the last struggle.

Just in terms of size, the two were not in the same league. Moreover, even though White Tiger was a bit foolish, there was no doubt about its combat power.

As a mutated species among Bengal Tigers, the fact that he was able to survive until today and reach Tier-0 Level 9 spoke volumes for his strength.

*Roar!* White Tiger let out another roar, and although he had lowered his volume, it still set forth visible shocl waves.

At the same time, the White Tiger slapped his paw at a lightning-fast speed.

It landed squarely on the Yellow Tiger’s head.

The next moment, a crisp ‘crack’ was heard, and the Yellow Tiger went limp before it could even make a single groan.

“It probably isn’t dead, right?” In doubt, the White Tiger withdrew his paw.

As one of the nine Great Beasts under Yu Zi Yu’s command, he naturally understood that it was best not to kill the prey completely.

However, in the heat of the battle, there was little time to consider such matters. Moreover, Mutant Beasts had amazing vitality.

In general, it was difficult to land a fatal blow in one strike.

Nevertheless, looking at the giant Yellow Tiger bleeding from seven orifices, White Tiger chose to silently walk away.
