After much deliberation, Yu Zi Yu could not come to a clear conclusion. However, a faintly complex expression appeared in his eyes as he looked at Qing Gang.

At that moment, Qing Er, who was standing nearby, seemed to have a thought and beckoned, summoning a Peregrine Falcon.

*Screech!* With a sharp cry, the leader of the Peregrine Falcons, Fal I, landed on Qing Er’s outstretched hand.

Looking at the fist-sized and adorable Peregrine Falcon, Qing Er could not help but laugh lightly, “Master, these ferocious birds you raised have turned cute.”

“Cute, how is that possible?” Saying so, Yu Zi Yu shot a glance at the Peregrine Falcon and pretended to be stern, “Fal I, show Qing Er how fierce you are.”

Seeming to understand Yu Zi Yu’s intention, Fal I vigorously nodded.

Then, its gaze shifted, locked onto Qing Er.

*Screech!* Accompanied by a screech, Fal I spread its wings as its black and white feathers stood on end. However, the small body did not exude a fierce aura no matter how you looked at it. Instead, its puffed up body looked like a young hedgehog.

Covering her mouth, Qing Er could not help but burst into a melodious laughter.

“Uh…” Speechless and dumbfounded, Yu Zi Yu felt that his face turned black.

[So embarrassing! How could this guy be so useless? As the ruler of the sky, you… you…]

Unable to find the right words, Yu Zi Yu could only avert his gaze, pretending not to see.

At that moment, Qing Er looked at Yu Zi Yu, pursed her lips, and then leaned down to whisper something in Fal I’s ear.

When Yu Zi Yu redirected his gaze, he saw Fal I suddenly spread its wings and transform into a streak of black light, soaring into the sky.

“Qing Er, what’s this…”

Before Yu Zi Yu could say any further, Qing Er swiftly put her finger to her lips, gesturing for silence.

“Master, don’t ask, I want to give you a surprise.”

“Uh…” Momentarily stunned, Yu Zi Yu could not help but feel curious.

[Surprise, what surprise!? Could there still be something that can surprise me?] Full of doubt, Yu Zi Yu chose to patiently wait in silence.

…

Meanwhile, in the outskirts of the city not far from Misty Mountains, ‘Ling Er’ woke up after a short nap.

*Boom!* Same as ever, flames flickered in the depths of her eyes, and her vibrant red hair had sparkling crimson glow flowing through them.

“Master will definitely love this gift.” Saying so, Ling Er’s lips curved into a beautiful smile.

Immediately after, Ling Er reached out and grabbed a black cylindrical object resembling a bamboo tube that was lying on the table. She then dashed toward a small grove behind the house.

Ling Er’s speed was astonishing, resembling a dragonfly skimming the water’s surface. With each step, she covered several meters. In the blink of an eye, Ling Er had already covered 100 meters.

For a Tier-0 Level 9 expert like her, this speed was normal.

She was just a step away from becoming a Superhuman, and without such speed, how could she evade bullets. Moreover, she possessed the top-tier Fire-Attribute Elemental Talent, far stronger than an ordinary Tier-0 Level 9 Superhuman.

At that moment, as if she had thought of something, Ling Er suddenly spread her psychic power. After confirming that there was no one nearby, her entire body came to a halt.

Then, she heaved a long, deep breath.

*Ha…* As exhaled a fragrant breath, her vibrant red hair started dancing in the air.

At the same time, countless red specks of light slowly gathered at her feet.

“Crimson Flame Steps.” As she muttered to herself, the gathered red light underneath her feet suddenly contracted. Then, with a resounding book, they exploded, creating a magnificent display of fiery flames. Accompanying the explosion, Ling Er shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, moving several times faster than before.

From a distance, one could see her figure flickering like fireworks as she vanished into the groove in the blink of an eye. Only the black footprints not far away seemed to silently convey something.

Crimson Flame Steps was a combat technique that existed only in theory. Mutant Beasts possessed various Innate Talents and Unique Abilities, but as primates, Humans even after awakening their abilities only had Innate Talents, and those strange and rare abilities were rare. Thus, some experts proposed the idea of ‘Combat Techniques’—using precise techniques coupled with a burst of Spiritual Energy to unleash combat power several times greater than their own.

However, this idea remained only theoretical.

It was known that, so far, most of China had yet to develop combat techniques suitable for actual combat.

One reason was that Humans had evolved relatively late, and many people had yet not reached the level that they would come in contact with Combat Techniques. The experts were merely discussing them on paper. The second reason was that Combat Techniques were complex, and required precise control of Spiritual Energy.

Fortunately, Ling Er’s Psychic Talent had also awakened, and her powerful psychic power allowed her to control Spiritual Energy far beyond the understanding of ordinary people.

It was precisely for this reason that Ling Er could quickly learn some Combat Technique that only existed in theory.

Just like the Crimson Flame Steps, it was a prototype of a Combat Technique proposed by a Human expert based on the principles of ‘explosion’ and ‘recoil.’

And using this prototype from the Human expert, Ling Er quickly mastered a Combat Technique that was unique to herself—the Crimson Flame Steps.

However, due to certain reasons, Ling Er was unwilling to attract too much attention from Humans. So even if she wanted to use it, she would only practice it in secluded places with no one around.

Today, taking advantage of her departure from the laboratory, Ling Er could finally use the Combat Technique to her heart’s content.

She slightly curled her lips as a rare expression of satisfaction appeared on her face.

If she was not a mere Soul, she would truly deserve the title of “Human Prodigy.”

After rushing for a while, Ling Er arrived in a section of the forest seldom visited by anyone.

She looked up at the sky.

“It should be here anytime now.”” Muttering to herself, Ling Er estimated the time.

And, mere moments later…

*Screech~!* A shrill and piercing cry suddenly echoed through the sky.

“It’s here.”

Smiling, Ling Er’s gaze shifted to the sky.

The next moment…

*Swoosh* Accompanied by the sound of something tearing through the air, a black streak of light shot down from the horizon.

“Catch.” Saying so, Ling Er’s hand was suddenly wrapped in a strand of red light. And then, with a backhand toss, a cylindrical object wrapped in black cloth flew into the sky.
