“Report, report, a ranked Prehistoric Crocodile, is heading toward the river.”

“Report, report, a ranked Prehistoric Crocodile’s Spiritual Energy fluctuations are decreasing. Shall we continue tracking?”

…

Listening to the distant warning, Deputy Director Shi’s face turned slightly dark.

The fact that this Prehistoric Crocodile was attempting to escape was totally unexpected. Or rather, she did not anticipate that the Prehistoric Crocodile, even when having the upper hand, would suddenly retreat.

[This…] Her heart sank a little, Deputy Director Shi slowly turned her gaze toward a nearby screen. In the screen, the footage of the Prehistoric Crocodile emerging from the tornado which ultimately revealed its figure was playing.

It had a terrifying body that extended forty to fifty meters in length. A long and narrow colossal mouth and a pair of yellow vertical eyes flickering with an inexplicable luster.

“It’s not an ordinary Mutant Beast. Furthermore, it’s also an Atavism-type…” Mumbling to herself in a low voice, Deputy Director Shi exhaled a long, deep breath before giving her verdict in a grave voice, “Track it with everything we’ve got. We must not let it escape. Also, deploy troops to intercept.”

Hearing Deputy Director Shi’s orders, everyone’s expressions changed slightly. One of the older men, who appeared quite old, stepped forward and questioned, “Deputy Director, both banks of the Great River are the highest-level Red Zone, and just a step away from becoming a Forbidden Zone. There are countless powerful Mutant Beasts there, and more importantly…”

Before the old man could finish, Deputy Director Shi decisively interrupted, “Do you know what letting this Prehistoric Crocodile escape implies?”

Saying this, Deputy Director Shi glanced around at everyone and continued gravely, “Not long ago, the prime culprit that attacked America was an Atavism-type Sea Creature.”

Pausing for a moment, Deputy Director Shi then frankly added, “According to the news from America, each Atavism-type Mutant Beast is likely to possess the ability to command other Mutant Beasts. That was precisely the reason why that Mutant Sea Creature could create a beast tide.”

“What!“

Amidst the cries of incredulity, the old man’s face turned pale.

[Command other Mutant Beasts? Are you kidding me? Could it be that Mutant Beast not only lives in groups but also has a hierarchy?]

At this moment, looking at everyone, who were having a hard time to believe it, Deputy Director Shi sighed helplessly before explaining, “The evolutionary path of the Atavism-type Mutant Beasts goes all the way to the prehistoric giant beasts. And the so-called prehistoric giant beasts are like the ancestors of ordinary Mutant Beasts in today’s era. No matter what bloodline they carry, they have a natural suppressive force on the current era’s ordinary Mutant Beasts. Not to mention, the world of Mutant Beasts has always respected the strong. If Atavism-type Mutant Beasts indeed have the ability to command other Mutant Beasts…”

She did not finish her sentence, but her meaning was self-evident.

*Ha…* The old man exhaled a long, deep breath, and no longer questioned Deputy Director Shi’s command. Rather, he took a few steps back and stated in a low voice, “I’ll follow the Deputy Director’s orders.”

The moment he proclaimed this, a series of orders were issued one after another from the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau.

And a short while after this…

A wisp of red smoke rose and swirled before Yu Zi Yu, eventually materializing into a graceful figure.

“Master, something big has happened,” Qing Er called out to Yu Zi Yu with a sense of urgency.

“Something big!?” Yu Zi Yu was momentarily stupefied, unable to immediately react.

[What could be so significant?] He looked around, and everything seemed fine.

Feeling perplexed, Yu Zi Yu calmly asked, “What happened? Take a breath and explain.”

Gritting her teeth, Qing Er started speaking, “Sarcosuchus’ location has been discovered by the Humans. They have deployed dozens of fighter jets to attack him. Furthermore, they have also deployed a unit along with SSF(Special Supernatural Forces) to intercept him on the path Sarcosuchus is likely to take.”

”…” After a brief silence, Yu Zi Yu’s heart sank.

[Discovered by Humans, and even an interception force has been dispatched… Just what has he done now?]

As if sensing Yu Zi Yu’s thoughts, Qing Er promptly explained, “Master, apparently, Sarcosuchus didn’t do it intentionally.”

Qing Er sorted out her thoughts before continuing with some uncertainty, “Sarcosuchus seems to have set off powerful Spiritual Energy fluctuations when it broke through. So, it was noticed by the Humans.“

“He broke through!?” Yu Zi Yu was taken aback.

“Yes, he broke through.” Nodding, Qing Er continued with some certainty, “It should be a breakthrough, but I haven’t found the specifics yet. So far, I’ve only received a mission to intercept him with a SSF team.”

“They are even sending you?” with rare solemnity, Yu Zi Yu asked back.

“Yes, this time the upper brass seems to be quite determined. According to rumors, someone discovered that Sarcosuchus is an Atavism-type Mutant Beast, elevating his danger-level to the highest.”

Listening to Qing Er’s reply, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze could not help but flicker. [Does Atavism-type Mutant Beast truly deserve such attention from China? Or perhaps, do Atavism-type Mutant Beasts possess some secrets that I don’t know.]

While harboring these doubts, Yu Zi Yu showed no moment of hesitation. Instead, he shifted his gaze to the treetops.

*Screech, Screech, Screech…* Eight Peregrine Falcons were hovering in the air, letting out sharp cries. Observing these eight Peregrine Falcon with their black and white feather glinting with cold gleams, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze could not help but brighten.

These Peregrine Falcons were the first creatures he had tamed. Now, their minimum level was Tier-0 Level 8, with Fal I and Fal II reaching Tier-0 Level 9.

But that was not the most important part. The true significance lay in the fact that Peregrine Falcons were the rulers of the sky, boasting speed faster than anything.

Now, after a series of mutations, their speed had become unimaginable.

These eight Peregrine Falcons were Yu Zi Yu’s greatest reliance in aerial combat. Or one could say that with them, the threat posed by Human aerial forces could be reduced by more than half.

Smiling, Yu Zi Yu extended his branch toward Peregrine Falcons.

Seeing the branch, these little creatures did not hesitate and one by one, landed on Yu Zi Yu’s outstretched branch.

“Could you help me lead Sarcosuchus away? Can you do that?“

*Screech, Screech, Screech…* Chirping incessantly, the Peregrine Falcons seemed to be thumping their chests, saying, ‘No problem.’

“That’s great. With your speed, the Humans will have a difficult time posing any real threat to you. Your task is to distract those fighter jets closely following Sarcosuchus. If necessary, take them down.”

When he stated the last part, the corners of Yu Zi Yu’s lips involuntarily rose into a cold smile.

[Fighter jets are indeed formidable. However, in the face of attacks from these little fellows, how many of the jets would even survive. Just as the Humans can target and snipe Mutant Beasts, why can’t these Mutant Beasts use their Innate Talents wisely and snipe the Human forces? Leaving aside everything else, given the speed of these little ones, their agility far surpass fighter jets. They are so fast the fighter jets would merely become moving targets.]
