Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1495: Prepare For Seclusion

Zhang Fei [5] created a qi screen and displayed the Lotus Limbo World, as per the information Feng Yao had given him in the past. ”The Lotus Limbo World is a stagnant pocket dimension where the Yin-Yang Lotus controls everything. As you can see for yourself, there is no land inside, and a boundless black lake stretches without boundaries. Countless souls wander above it, and they will devour the soul power of any living creature that enters it. Once you enter that place, you can never leave again, and you will eventually join them. The only living being that has ever managed to enter and exit the place safely is the ten-tailed fox, Hu Tianlang.”

”Did Hu Tianlang really enter that place in the past?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei nodded at them. ”In the past, Feng Yao obtained descriptions of that place from Hu Tianlang, and he was able to do so because he possessed the Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique at that time. There, he met his rival—a woman who was also born from Yin and Yang, but she was not a living being, and she was the guardian of the Lotus Limbo World. I was his successor, but I did not inherit his physique, so I had to think hard about entering that place. Entering that place is easy, but getting out is really difficult, and I might never be able to get out if I go in there rashly.”

Beiming Youhuang, Jia Shengyun, Jia Lingzhu, and Jia Xianzu looked at the qi screen, but they could only see vast darkness—both on the ground and in the air, with countless souls wandering there.

Zhang Fei [5] looked at Su Yuangu again. ”Senior, does that mean the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus can send me there? Feng Yao once told me that the woman lives inside the Yin-Yang Lotus, so the lotus should connect the Ashen Lotus Monastery with the Lotus Limbo World, right?”

”Yes,” Su Yuangu explained to him. ”The Giant Yin-Yang Lotus you encountered in the Ashen Lotus Monastery is the main body, but it has bodies in two different places. Those places are—”

”The Lotus Luminous World was born from Yang, and the Lotus Limbo World was born from Yin.”

Su Yuangu continued. ”The Giant Yin-Yang Lotus can send you there, but I’m not sure it will because it’s still weak from the disturbance in the balance between Yin and Yang in the past; otherwise, it wouldn’t have asked me to show you the portal to the Lotus Limbo World.”

”Well, that’s true.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”When I first met the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus, it was in a weak state, and there was a possibility that it would disappear. If the lotus disappeared, then the balance of Yin and Yang would be destroyed, potentially leading to the destruction of the universe. That’s why the lotus absorbed our Yin and Yang Qi to restore itself, but it hasn’t fully recovered yet, and it still needs a lot of Yin and Yang Qi to fully recover.”

”Yes.”

Jia Lingzhu then asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”What is the Lotus Luminous World?

”I have never seen the Lotus Luminous World myself, but I heard from the two spirits of the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus that it is the opposite of the Lotus Limbo World.” They looked at Zhang Fei [5] curiously, making him smile wryly. ”According to them, that place is one where enlightened souls live, free from doubt and despair. They have the opportunity to be reincarnated, but they choose not to take that chance; instead, they prefer to live in that place because it is free from evil, burdens, and worldly emotions.”

”The world without evil, burdens, and worldly emotions.” Beiming Youhuang and the others muttered to themselves.

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at them. ”Simply put, the Lotus Luminous World is nirvana, and the Lotus Limbo World is hell. For now, our task is to help the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus recover to prevent an imbalance in Yin and Yang; otherwise, this universe will collapse because it is made up of Yin and Yang.”

”How can we help the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus?” Beiming Youhuang asked.

”Hahaha.” Jia Yuyan laughed at her question. ”Senior Youhuang, the easy way is for us to dual cultivate and dual soul cultivate within the Giant Yin-Yang Lotus, and it will slowly absorb our qi and soul power. We had seclusion in the Ashen Lotus Monastery two months ago, and the results were quite amazing.”

Jia Shengyun and Jia Lingzhu slapped their foreheads because their granddaughter had changed so much after she got married, and she was becoming increasingly shameless about talking about such things.

”Unfortunately, you don’t have a partner, so you can’t join us to help the lotus.” Jia Yuyan glanced at Jia Xianzu. ”How about you pair up with Senior Xianzu, Senior Youhuang? You’re both fairies, and you guys don’t have partners either. Moreover, you’re both old friends, so I think it would be beneficial if you two became a couple.”

Beiming Youhuang shook her in response. ”Xianzu and I have never been interested in marriage, and the two of us will spend our entire lives with our cultivation.”

”Hahaha.” Jia Xianzu laughed as he rubbed his long beard. ”I’ve lived on the run for too long, and I’ve grown accustomed to solitude. Right now, I’ve lost all desire for worldly emotions, and I only want to focus on my cultivation to reach the Celestial God Realm.”

Jiya Yuyan could only shake her head after listening to their words. ”Back then, I thought the same as you two, but I changed after I met my husband, and I truly enjoy my life now. Besides, we can still pursue our cultivation even if we’re married, and our cultivation progress is much faster if we cultivate together with our partners.”

Beiming Youhuang and Jia Xianzu chose not to comment on that, and they asked Zhang Fei [5] to send them back into his soul world because there was still much to be done there.

After he sent them into his soul world, Zhang Fei [5] spoke to Su Yuangu again. ”For now, I am not ready to go to the Lotus Limbo World because my cultivation is still at the Celestial King Realm, but I will go there after my cultivation reaches the Celestial God Realm in the future, and I will meet women. At that time, I will definitely need your help to go there, Senior.”

”When you are ready to go to the Lotus Limbo World, you can come to me again, and I will send you there.” Su Yuangu then warned him. ”However, you must be careful with that woman because she is not a living being, and she can drain your body of Yin and Yang Qi. If that happens, you will die there, and no one will be able to save this universe.”

”I know.” Zhang Fei [5] would never take the matter lightly because Feng Yao had already reminded him about that woman, and Su Yuangu had also warned him again. ”In that case, I’ll bring Yuyan back, and we’ll enter seclusion for some time. I plan to come out of seclusion once all my wives’ cultivation reaches the Celestial King Realm, but I might extend our seclusion if my cultivation hasn’t broken through to the Celestial Emperor Realm by then.”

Su Yuangu nodded at him. ”Cultivation cannot be rushed, and you must take one step at a time. If you do it in a hurry, you may face problems in your cultivation, and you may find it difficult to develop in the future.”

”Thank you for your advice.” Zhang Fei [5] turned to Jia Shengyun and Jia Lingzhu. ”Grandfather! Grandmother! I will take Yuyan away now, and I will bring her to visit you two after we complete our seclusion.”

Jia Lingzhu nodded to Zhang Fei [5] and hugged Jia Yuyan. ”You two have been married for so long, and I hope you two will give us a great-grandchild soon.”

”Hehehe.” Jia Yuyan giggled and hugged her grandmother back. ”Grandma, I really want to give you a great-grandchild, but my husband isn’t ready for children yet. When he’s ready, I’ll ask him to impregnate me, and you can retire to raise our future child.”

Jia Lingzhu nodded in understanding and released her granddaughter from her arms. ”No problem, I’ll wait until Zhang Fei is truly ready to be a father. When you two have children, your grandfather and I will retire from our race, and we will enjoy your life with our great-grandchild.”

”Yes.” Jia Yuyan then looked at her grandfather and briefly hugged him. ”Grandpa, I don’t know how long we will be in seclusion, but you can go to the Moonlit Passion Temple if our race gets into trouble, and the sect people will inform us about it.”

Jia Shengyun patted her head. ”Our race has found peace again, and I hope our peace will last for a long time. For now, you just need to focus on your cultivation, and we will wait for your return.”

”Yes, Grandpa.” Thereafter, Zhang Fei [5] took Jia Yuyan away from the Radiance Domain for the Ice Phoenix Domain.

Jia Shengyun then asked Su Yuangu, ”Senior, do you think Zhang Fei can really enter the Lotus Limbo World and come back out?”

”Zhang Fei is the destined one, so he will be able to do it.”

”I see.” Jia Shengyun nodded in understanding. ”In that case, my wife and I won’t disturb you any longer, and we will return now.”

”Yes.”
