Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1480: Seal Zhang Fei’s Clone

While his real body was overwhelmed when facing Ye Mingran, Feltia [2] also felt overwhelmed when facing Nalan Shizhe. Although the female demon god didn’t use a domain or anything like that, he felt his soul strength diminishing everytime he attacked her, which was due to the devouring field surrounding her.

Feltia [2] retreated away from Nalan Shizhe when he felt his soul power decrease significantly; otherwise, he would be further weakened if she devoured more of his soul power.

Nalan Shizhe spoke to him. ”Son, you won’t be able to get close to me, and my soul-devouring field will instantly devour your soul power whenever you’re within its range. If you want to fight me, you must use long-range attacks, but you can’t use just any technique to attack me.”

”Did you get your devouring field after you became a demon god, mother-in-law?”

”Yes.” Nalan Shizhe nodded at Feltia [2] before activating her soul-devouring domain. Her red eyes turned grey, and a giant transparent mouth appeared, enveloping her body. ”You’ve seen my soul-devouring domain, right? I can combine it with the soul-devouring demonic seal, and it will seal your soul into eternal darkness. You are strong for a demon of your level, but you are not truly strong yet, and you will never be able to free your soul from my seal.”

”I see.” Feltia [2] looked at Nalan Shizhe’s soul-devouring domain and soul-devouring field. ”Can you enlarge the area of both of them?”

”I can enlarge the area of the soul-devouring field at will, and it will cover your entire training space.” Nalan Shizhe demonstrated the expansion of the area to Feltia [2], but she still restricted it to avoid impacting the women who were training there. ”My soul-devouring domain is different from other domains, and it has a fixed area of this size. However, my domain is also different from the others, and it can move at will to trap my enemies. By doing this, I can utilize my soul-devouring demonic seal to trap my enemies’ souls, and no one has ever succeeded in breaking free from it.”

Feltia [2] was curious about the effects of Nalan Shizhe’s soul-devouring domain and soul-devouring demonic seal, and he considered experimenting with both. His soul power had been difficult to increase for a long time, despite his routine of dual soul cultivation with all his wives, and he believed he needed something to stimulate its growth, such as emptying his soul power.

Feltia [2] thought that Nalan Shizhe’s soul-devouring domain and soul-devouring demonic seal should be able to help him with that, but he was also worried that her abilities would drain his soul power completely, and he would die without it.

”What are you thinking about?” Feltia [2] sighed softly and told Nalan Shizhe about his thoughts, causing her to frown. ”It’s true that I can release you from my seal, but you should know that my seal will drain your soul power rapidly. I know your soul power is very high because your soul cultivation level is one level below mine, but I’m not sure if you will be able to handle the situation. If something untoward happens in there, you will die from exhaustion of your soul power.”

”I know that.” Feltia [2] clenched his right fist. ”However, I feel like my soul power has reached its limit, and I need to find another way to increase it. Although my soul power can’t break through to the immortal soul level, it should be able to break through to the perfection stage of the diving soul level, and I will become much stronger if that’s true. Therefore, I want you to use your soul-devouring demonic seal to seal me, and you can release me after ten minutes to see the results.”

Nalan Shizhe frowned at Feltia [2] because his wish was too risky, mainly because she herself didn’t know for sure how fast her soul-devouring domain would devour his soul power. If the absorption rate was too rapid, he would die from running out of his soul power, and her two daughters would blame her for their husband’s death.

Noticing the hesitation on Nalan Shizhe’s face, Feltia [2] decided to call Nalan Yushu and Nalan Wangzi to meet with them, hoping that they could persuade their mother to use the soul-devouring domain and the soul-devouring demonic seal on him.

Nalan Shizhe raised an eyebrow as her two daughters appeared between them. ”Did your husband ask you two to persuade me to use my abilities on him?”

”Hehe.” Nalan Yushu giggled, approached her mother, and hugged her arm. ”Mother, I know you care about our husband’s safety, but you don’t know him well. I can tell you that he likes to take risks to improve himself, and he always manages to return safely, so you don’t need to worry about him.”

Nalan Wangzi also spoke to her. ”Mother, our husband will still have to face many powerful cultivators in the future, including Mo Shentian. Therefore, he needs a lot of help to improve himself, so I think you can use your demon abilities on him. You already know that our husband is not an ordinary living being, and he has three different identities in one body, which no one else has. Moreover, you can monitor him at all times, and you can pull him out of there if you feel that he is unable to face the situation.”

Nalan Shizhe knew that Feltia [2] was different from all other living creatures, but she felt that his idea was awful, and it couldn’t be done because it was too risky. She wanted to help her son-in-law, but she didn’t want to cause her two daughters to become widows if he died.

”Mother, you don’t have to think too complicatedly, okay?” Nalan Yushu pointed at Feltia [2]. ”His body is his second clone, so he won’t die just because he entered your seal. If he isn’t strong enough to face the situation inside, you can get him out of there, or he just needs to cancel his clone, so I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

”Yushu is right, Mother.” Nalan Wangzi turned to Feltia [2]. ”Our husband wouldn’t be so stupid as to go in there using his real body, and I think it wouldn’t be a problem if he used his clone to test the effects of your demon abilities.”

Nalan Shizhe herself just remembered that Feltia [2] was a clone of her son-in-law, and Zhang Fei was busy receiving beatings from Ye Mingran. ”Can you cancel your clone if I seal it?”

”I don’t know.” Nalan Shizhe responded to Feltia [2] with a frown. ”Honestly, I can cancel my clone from anywhere, but I’ve never been in a sealed situation, so I can’t be sure about that. However, you don’t need to worry about that because I still have my real body and four other clones, so I’m sure I won’t run out of soul power in there because some of my wives will help me by dual soul cultivating with my other three clones.”

Nalan Shizhe still had doubts about it because she didn’t understand how Zhang Fei’s real body and his five clones worked, and she doubted if they could maintain his soul power while he was inside her seal.

”Mother.”

Nalan Shizhe looked at her two daughters, who were still trying to convince her. After thinking it over carefully, she decided to comply with their request by directing her soul-devouring domain toward Feltia [2], enveloping him with it.

Feltia [2] felt his soul power being rapidly sucked away by Nalan Shizhe’s soul-devouring domain, but he was lucky because her other three clones were dual soul cultivating with their partners. Moreover, some of them did it with the support of the Dragon-Phoenix Soul Mirror; otherwise, his soul power will experience a rapid decline.

Nalan Shizhe spoke to him. ”I will use the soul-devouring demonic seal on you, and you will be immediately sucked into it, just like the soul creature was back then. If you are unable to handle the situation inside, you must inform me using either your real body or another clone, and I will rescue you from that place.”

”Alright.” Feltia [2] answered with a joyful expression.

”Get ready.” After Feltia [2] nodded, Nalan Shizhe activated her soul-devouring demonic seal, and her soul-devouring domain disappeared along with him. She looked at her two daughters and spoke to them. ”Your husband took too great a risk by going in there, and something inside absorbed his soul power.”

”Hehe.” Nalan Yushu chuckled and pointed at Zhang Fei [1], who was fighting Qi Qingxiu in another area. ”Look at him, Mother. Aren’t your worries unfounded? His other clone is in stable condition and can fight normally, so the situation inside isn’t as bad as you think, and his second clone can handle the situation inside.”

Nalan Wangzi also spoke to her mother. ”If you look closely, the soul power of his other clone hasn’t decreased at all, so I think he’ll be fine even if he stays inside for a long time.”

”Hmm?” Nalan Shizhe looked at Zhang Fei [1] and Qi Qingxiu, who were fighting using physical strength. After all, her abilities to control seven emotions were useless to affect him, so she resorted to physical attacks to accompany him in training. ”How can he maintain his soul power in there?”

Nalan Yushu pulled her mother. ”Follow me! You can see for yourself my husband’s activities inside the pavilion, and you’ll be shocked when you see him.”
