Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1469: Shang Fengxue’s Visit

After she obtained Zhang Fei’s location, Shang Fengxue hurriedly disappeared from their sight to head to the Moonlit Passion Temple.

Shang Luohu inwardly sighed, wondering whether her decision to tell her sister-in-law about Zhang Fei was right or wrong. She was afraid that Shang Zhanluo would find out about Shang Fengxue’s departure to the sect, and she was worried that he would be furious if he found out about it. She knew that Feng Yao was protecting the sect, and she was afraid that he would fight her later, which she believed would be his defeat.

Shang Luohu looked at the two lust demon gods. ”Are you two sure you won’t accept Zhang Fei’s offer?”

”We are tempted and interested in his offer, but we haven’t decided whether to accept it or not. If we accept, it would mean fulfilling his request to go to Qian Yan’s domain to gather some information, which would be too dangerous for us.” Xie Yan answered her.

Xie Yao hugged his partner’s waist. ”His offer is tempting, but it won’t be of any use if we die at Qian Yan’s hands, right? By the way, we’ll be returning to our domain now, but please inform us whether your sister-in-law managed to catch Zhang Fei’s attention or not.”

”Alright.”

After the two lust demon gods left, Shang Zhui appeared beside Shang Luohu and asked her. ”Why did you decide to send Princess Fengxue to Zhang Fei’s place, Empress? What if my Emperor finds out about the affair and is furious because of your decision?”

”Sigh.” Shang Luohu released a soft sigh. ”Did you know that the Celestial Demon Realm closed their realm, Zhui?”

Shang Zhui nodded. ”They activated their barrier around three weeks ago, and no one was able to enter and exit the domain after that. I feel Mo Shentian’s decision is truly unusual because he has always been confident in his abilities, and no other demon race has ever dared to invade his domain, including the Heavenly Fiend Demon, Sha Mo.”

”Yes.” Shang Luohu got up from her chair and walked to the balcony of the palace, followed by Shang Zhui behind her. ”After they activated their barrier, I tried going to the Celestial Demon Domain, but I couldn’t enter there with my current cultivation level. I tried contacting Mo Shentian and Mo Zainan, and I told them that I wanted to visit my daughter. They didn’t answer my messages, so I was forced to return to our domain.”

”Do you think that something happened to the Celestial Demon Race, Empress?”

Shang Luohu nodded slightly. ”I’m sure something has happened in the Celestial Demon Race, and my gut tells me it has something to do with Zhang Fei.”

”Zhang Fei?”

”For now, that’s just my guess, but my guesses are never wrong.” Shang Luohu faced him and asked a question. ”Have you heard the news about the Soul-Devouring Demon Race, the Eternal Night Demon Race, and the Seven Emotions Demon Race?”

”I heard that those three demon races have sent their representatives to join the Moonlit Passion Temple.”

”That’s right.” Shang Luohu nodded at him. ”I’m sure the other demon races have heard about their movements as well, but they haven’t made any moves yet. Besides the four demon races, I sense that there’s been a change in the Nine Nether Demon Race, but I can’t be sure about it because the Jiu Mozu still holds sway over that race. However, I heard that Jiu Moze has returned, and he has started to get involved again in the affairs of that race.”

”That’s weird.” Shang Zhui thought about several possibilities in his mind. ”Jiu Moze has long abandoned the affairs of their demon race, and Jiu Mozu is in full control of the race.”

”However, Jiu Moze suddenly reappeared and interfered in the affairs of the race, and the race has been passive since his return. Somehow, I feel that their situations have something to do with Zhang Fei.” Shang Luohu shifted her gaze forward again. ”Furthermore, I also heard a rumor that Mo Anqi and Mo Yousha have also joined the Moonlight Passion Temple, which is impossible with Mo Shentian’s character.”

Shang Zhui contacted Tian Shuixian to confirm everything, but his son didn’t provide too many details. His son only informed him that members of the four demon races, including the two princesses of the Celestial Demon Race, had joined the Moonlit Passion Temple. ”Empress, Mo Anqi and Mo Yousha have indeed joined the sect, and they joined there on the same day that Mo Shentian closed his domain with the barrier.”

”So that’s true, huh? Since Mo Anqi and Mo Yousha really joined Zhang Fei’s sect, I’m sure of my suspicions that he is the mastermind behind the change in the Celestial Demon Race.” Shang Luohu paused for a while. ”I don’t know how he managed to do that, but I suspect that Mo Shentian isn’t in his domain right now; otherwise, he wouldn’t have managed to do that, mainly because the Celestial Demon God is simply too powerful for the current him.”

”Perhaps Empress Huo Yanling is assisting Zhang Fei in taking action against the Celestial Demon Race.”

Shang Luohu agreed with him. ”With his current cultivation, Zhang Fei would never be able to do all of those things himself, and he needed the help of others to carry out all his actions. The story would be different if Empress Huo helped him do all of that, and no one would be able to stop him if that were true.”

”So, you decided to send Princess Fengxue to Zhang Fei because of this, Empress?”

”More or less.” Shang Luohu turned to him again. ”Back then, I didn’t understand where Zhang Fei’s confidence came from to save my daughter from the Celestial Demon Race, and he was also able to retrieve her hair and pieces of her dress. The answer is clear now, and he has already taken action against that demon race without anyone else, including Mo Shentian, being aware of it. What do you think will happen if my husband chooses to become his enemy? That kid already has a lot of support behind him, including Empress Huo.”

”My emperor will die if he has to face all of them, especially Empress Huo.”

”Not even the Four Perils and Long Wuzhao dare to fight Empress Huo, and she has long declared that the Moonlit Passion Temple and the Twin Flames Main Domain are under her protection. If my husband antagonizes Zhang Fei and chooses to become his enemy, I’m sure he will die, and our demon race will fall under his control.” Shang Luohu let out a soft sigh. ”Judging from her previous expression, Shang Fengxue was not interested in him, but she was interested in his strength and abilities, so I let her go to that sect to see for herself the situation there.”

Shang Zhui nodded in understanding. ”However, you’ve forgotten that Zhang Fei is a lust demon, Empress. Even if Princess Fengxue has no interest in him, she might change her mind if she’s affected by his abilities, and she might even fall into his arms.”

”I know.” However, Shang Luohu had different thoughts than Shang Zhui, and she believed that Shang Fengxue would not fall into Zhang Fei’s arms. ”Let’s wait for the outcome of their meeting, and I will explain everything to my husband if my sister-in-law falls into his arms.”

Shang Zhui could only sigh in his heart, and he was worried that Shang Luohu’s decision to send Shang Fengxue to the Moonlit Passion Temple would backfire on them, which would incur Shang Zhanluo’s wrath. If that were to happen, a battle would ensue between their Asura Demon Race and Zhang Fei, and they would surely lose badly with so many powerful cultivators standing behind him.

Shang Luohu understood her worries. ”Don’t worry, Zhui. I’m sure everything will turn out well, and it might even lead our race to a better future.”

”I hope so, Empress.” Shang Zhui replied with a heavy sigh. ”If the outcome is different from your expectations, our Asura Demon Race will likely be destroyed, and we will likely fall under Zhang Fei’s control.”

”I know.”

Meanwhile, Shang Fengxue had arrived at the Twin Flames Main Domain, and she was truly shocked by the changes in the domain, just like the cultivators who had gone there before her.

Shang Fengxue ignored the changes to the domain and flew to the floating plateau, which was the location of the Moonlit Passion Temple. Upon reaching the outermost perimeter of the sect, she immediately stopped flying when she saw Tian Kui and Serpentera, who had appeared to stop her. ”Eh? I didn’t expect this sect to have two powerful sects as its guardians, and you two are as strong as my brother.”

”What brings you to this sect, Asura Demon?” Tian Kui asked.

”Zhang Fei.” The two beasts raised their eyebrows at Shang Fengxue. ”I didn’t come to this sect to cause trouble, and I only wanted to meet him for a sparring match. I previously heard about him from my sister-in-law, and I’ve watched his fight with the three guardians of our demon race, which made me curious about him and his fighting abilities. That’s why I came here to challenge him to a sparring match, so I hope you two will allow me to enter this sect to meet him.”

’The Asura demon race are truly fighting maniacs.’ The two beasts thought to themselves. ”Our master—”

*Swoosh*

”Shang Fengxue, right?”
