Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 847: Fighting The Natural Races

*Roar*

The ten-tailed foxʼs soul continued to roar angrily, but Nalan Yushu had already taken control of his soul. Moreover, she and Zhang Fei [5] continued to absorb his soul power, slowly weakening him. ”Give up, old fox. If your soul were still intact, this battle would have gone differently. The current you is only a small part of your soul, and my soul is still intact, so you wonʼt be able to break free from my control.”

”Bastard!” The ten-tailed foxʼs soul looked up, but Zhang Fei [5]ʼs soul manifestation directly punched his head, slamming his head into the ground. ”Gah!”

Zhang Fei [5]ʼs soul manifestation didnʼt stop there, and he repeatedly struck the ten-tailed foxʼs soul, causing him to continuously groan in pain.

”Gah!”

A few hours later, the ten-tailed foxʼs soul finally weakened, and Zhang Fei [5] decided to do something else against him.

”Old fox, I would rather not do this, but you forced me to do it.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately used one of his curse techniques. ”Soulbinding Curse.”

”Stop it, you bastard!”

”Too late, old fox.” Soon, a connection was established between Zhang Fei [5]ʼs soul and the ten-tailed fox soul. He then withdrew his soul manifestation and spoke to Nalan Yushu. ”Go back to my soul sea.”

”Yes, Master.” Nalan Yushu immediately released control of the ten-tailed foxʼs soul and entered Zhang Fei [5]ʼs soul sea.

ʼPhew! Luckily, I have Old Ma and Nalan Yushu by my side, or else I would have spent a lot of time defeating this soul.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] immediately jumped down from the ten-tailed foxʼs soul and stood in front of him, but the old fox continued to stare at him hatefully. ”What actually happened to you? How could your soul be different from the first one I met?”

”Tch!” The ten-tailed foxʼs soul gritted his teeth. ”Back then, I split my soul into several parts, and this soul carried my pride and arrogance. The one you met back then was my soul that carried my lustful nature.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [5] was surprised to hear that, but he finally realized the reason behind the increase in his lustful nature after their souls merged back then. ”So, there are still five other souls out there, right?”

”No.” The ten-tailed foxʼs answer confused Zhang Fei [5]. ”Do you think the seven emotions are everything? There are still other emotions, which is why I divided my soul into multiple parts.”

”Some others?”

”My bloodlust, my kindness, and many others.”

Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow. ”You can do such a thing, huh? Does that mean one of your souls is driven by bloodlust?”

”Yes.” The ten-tailed fox nodded. ”That particular soul of mine lacks memories and was born from my bloodlust. My bloodlust is too deadly, and it will scare many living creatures, so I separated it from me after the beast war ended.”

”Speaking of the beast war, Iʼve heard that you mediated to end it. However, it makes me curious about your true strength, especially since your enemies are the Primordial Nihility Beast and the Primordial Genesis Beast.” The ten-tailed fox stared at Zhang Fei [5] in shock, especially since he supposedly still didnʼt know about the two beasts. ”How strong were you really in the past? What is your true origin?”

”I wonʼt answer your questions, and you will know everything after you get all my souls scattered in this universe.” The ten-tailed fox directly touched Zhang Fei [5]ʼs head. ”Before you merge with my evil soul, you must first find my other soul, which was born from my kindness. Otherwise, my evil nature will take over you, and you will become a true evil.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”Iʼve met your evil soul, so I understand a little about him. If your evil nature was weak, you wouldnʼt have separated it from yourself in the first place. However, itʼs hard to understand why a powerful beast like you, who could stand on equal footing with the two primordial beasts, would decide to weaken yourself. Besides, you would rather isolate yourself in the three moral realms than stay in the Paradise Realm or above.”

”Collect all my souls and evolve to ten tails, and youʼll get all the answers by then.” Zhang Fei [5] released a disappointed sigh, and the ten-tailed fox immediately began the process of merging their souls, causing his soul to fade rapidly. ”My soul that materialized from my bloodlust is sealed in the Slaughter Blood Domain, and you will face resistance from the Asura Demon there, especially the Asura Demon God.”

Before Zhang Fei [5] could ask again, a bright white aura suddenly enveloped the ten-tailed foxʼs soul, dazzling him. It only lasted a few seconds, and the white aura immediately disappeared, as did the ten-tailed foxʼs soul.

”As expected! My soul level broke through again after his soul merged with mine.” Zhang Fei [5] muttered in satisfaction, especially since increasing his soul power was much more difficult than increasing his cultivation.

Zhang Fei [5] wanted to clear all the herbs in the garden, but the place was no longer sealed, and the natural races could enter there. Therefore, he only took a few stalks of each type of herb, and he sent them to Lillea, Janette, and Shi Wu in the Sealed World Pearl.

After that, Zhang Fei [5] hurriedly left the garden, but Tianshi Shengjie was no longer there. ”Why did she go?”

”That woman asked me to give these two to you.” Feng Xishui immediately handed Zhang Fei [5] a golden token and a letter.

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] frowned and read the letter directly.

[My duty in the three mortal realms is complete, so I have to return to the Paradise Realm, and I will wait for you in the Dragon-Soaring Divine Domain. PS: Get ready to face your next enemy.]

”Tch! That woman is deliberately toying with me! She asked me to meet her in this realm, but she has now run away and returned to the Paradise Realm.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately saved the golden token and a letter.

[You obtained the Celestial Dragon Token.]

Zhang Fei [5] then opened the map to check the outside, and he found many red dots heading towards them. ”Senior, we have a new problem now.”

”Hmm?” Feng Xishui immediately spread his senses out of the cave. ”This cave seems to be their sacred place, and they didnʼt notice our presence before because of that woman. Since she has left this realm, they immediately noticed our presence and rushed here. Their leader is clearly much stronger than I am, so we will face a tough fight.”

”Letʼs go out then.”

.

.

As soon as they arrived outside the cave, they were surrounded by hundreds of natural races from various races. However, Zhang Fei [5] was a little surprised after he saw their leader, especially since he was a giant race. ʼScan him, Mei.ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] let out a heavy sigh in his heart, especially since Da Xiongmao was simply too strong for him and Feng Xishui.

*Bam*

Da Xiongmao slammed the handle of his giant hammer onto the ground, causing tremors in the surrounding area; even the water in the lake gushed upwards. ”Who the hell are you two? How did you find our sacred place?”

”Are you not mistaken?” Zhang Fei [5] then pointed his thumb behind him. ”This cave is indeed in your realm, but it is not your sacred place, especially since you canʼt do anything to the fox statue. However, I have opened it now, and you can enter the place to harvest the treasures inside.”

Da Xiongmao immediately turned to one of the members of the natural races, and a male fairy rushed to check inside the cave. Not long after, he returned and reported what he saw in the garden to the giant. ”How did you manage to open that place?”

”Can you still not recognize my identity?” Da Xiongmao narrowed his eyes, forcing Zhang Fei [5] to use his heavenly fox form.

”A heavenly fox?” Da Xiongmao and the others gasped.

Zhang Fei [5] returned to his half-fox directly and patted Feng Xishuiʼs shoulder. ”I am indeed a heavenly fox, and this senior is a fire phoenix. I came here because of the fox statue, and I have found what I was looking for now. Therefore, we will leave this realm, and you can use all the herbs here for yourselves.”

”You two cannot leave before you hand over the secret of the fox statue to us.” Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Xishui turned to the female giant beside Da Xiongmao, who was none other than Da Feiyue. ”We canʼt do anything to the statue, but itʼs still part of our realm, so we have the right to get it more than you two.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] laughed at that. ”I have met so many natural races of all races, but I have never met one as greedy and shameless as you. No wonder the number of giant races in this universe is too small, especially since you guys are too greedy.”

*Boom*

Da Feiyueʼs hammer slammed into Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Xishuiʼs spot in an instant, but both of them had already vanished, shocking everyone.

They then looked up at the waterfall because Feng Xishui and Zhang Fei [5] were already there. ”Your cultivation is indeed higher than ours, but the two of us are not weak persimmons. I would prefer to avoid conflict, but I will defend myself if you try to prevent us from leaving.”

*Bam... Bam...*

”Hahaha!” Da Xiongmao laughed as he smashed his hammer against the ground a few times, and the other natural races also laughed at Zhang Fei [5]. ”Surround them!”

The people immediately surrounded Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Xishui, and some of them chanted strange incantations. In a few moments, a barrier enveloped the area, putting pressure on both of their cultivation and souls.

Da Xiongmao immediately jumped onto the waterfall as he swung his hammer at it, which produced quite a loud explosion.

*Boom*

The dirt and dust above the waterfall immediately scattered into the air, as did the water that flowed down into the lake. However, Da Xiongmao and the others were in shock after the dust cleared, especially since Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Xishui were not there.

”Heh!” Da Xiongmao looked up to the sky and saw them standing outside their barrier. ”Big body but small brain! Since you attacked us first, donʼt blame me.”

In an instant, the sky above them turned pitch black, and black lightning began to flash above them, especially after Zhang Fei [5] used the Abyssal Lightning Tribulation. He did not stop there, and a giant ethereal demon claw appeared before him, followed by nine darkness creatures.

ʼWhat the hell is with this brat? How can he use so many techniques at once? Moreover, he is a heavenly fox, but all his techniques are darkness techniques.ʼ These were the thoughts of those who witnessed Zhang Fei [5] using the three techniques.

Zhang Fei [5] grinned faintly as he threw a sizable black ball into the sky, and it immediately emitted an unusual aura, causing those with low mental strength to be controlled by their madness and become berserk.

Within seconds, Zhang Fei [5] and Feng Xishui could hear their maddened screams, and some of them started attacking each other due to the effects of the Cursed Black Sun.

Da Xiongmao and several of them immediately flew into the sky to attack the two of them, but Zhang Fei [5] took Feng Xishui to teleport to another area. Darkness soon spread from his body, rapidly enveloping the area and obscuring their vision.

However, the natural races with the light and wind elements immediately countered Zhang Fei [5]ʼs darkness, causing it to disappear quickly and catching him by surprise. ʼOh? This is the first time Iʼve encountered an enemy who can eliminate my darkness corruption so easily.ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] immediately ordered the nine darkness creatures to attack Da Xiongmao and the others. He also activated the Abyssal Lightning Tribulation, causing the black lightning bolts to rain down on them, followed by the ethereal demon claw. However, the barrier those people had previously created blocked their path.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately summoned the demon extermination sword, channeled his darkness Qi into it, and slashed downwards. ”Soul-breaking demon howl.”

In an instant, a darkness lion shot out from Zhang Fei [5]ʼs sword, dashed toward them, and released a loud roar.

*Roar*

Those with low soul strength instantly collapsed to the ground, and their bodies convulsed a few times before falling unconscious with foam coming out of their mouths, especially since Zhang Fei [5]ʼs attack just now had directly attacked their souls.

”Bastard!” Da Xiongmao shouted furiously. ”Spread out and attack them!”

*Roar*

Zhang Fei [5] unleashed the demon kingʼs roar, instilling fear and confusion in them. Afterwards, he used the hellflame incantation to surround him and Feng Xishui, forcing Da Xiongmao and the others to move away, especially since the flames were not ordinary flames but hell flames, and the heat was too extreme.

Feng Xishui, who had not yet launched an attack, finally decided to make a move. He shot his phoenix flames into the sky, and they quickly transformed into hundreds of small fire phoenixes, which charged straight at them.

Unlike Zhang Fei [5]ʼs attacks, Da Xiongmao and the others were able to easily repel Feng Xishuiʼs attacks, mainly due to the difference in their cultivation. ”Zhang Fei! We should retreat first! Your technique affects those who are weak, but those giants and the others are not affected by their effects.”

”I will send you back to the Divine Flame Realm, and I will deal with them myself.” Feng Xishui wanted to refuse, but Zhang Fei [5] immediately opened the gate and threw him inside before closing it again.

Zhang Fei [5] then teleported several times, leaving his enemies confused as they searched for him.

”Hey! Iʼm here.” Da Xiongmao and the others looked up into the distance, but their expressions turned serious once they saw the dark flames and the ice in Zhang Fei [5]ʼs hands.

”I created this technique a long time ago, but I have never tested it in battle. Since you guys are my enemies, I will test it against you all now.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately merged his dark flames and ice elements, forming a dark flame ice lotus. After he strengthened the lotus with his three elemental laws, he launched it at his enemies. ”Taste my Hellflame Frost Lotus!”

The natural races were shocked to see that fire and ice could merge into one, and the aura that emerged from Zhang Fei [5]ʼs Hellflame Frost Lotus was quite frightening to them.

Da Xiongmao, Da Feiyue, and several others immediately unleashed their maximum strength to attack Zhang Fei. Meanwhile, several others formed a protective barrier to resist the dark flame lotus. ”Attack him!”

In a few moments, Da Xiongmaoʼs and the othersʼ attacks directly clashed with Zhang Fei [5]ʼs Hellflame Frost Lotus.

*Crack... Crack...*

Despite their superior strength, their attacks could not stop the Hellflame Frost Lotus, mainly because Zhang Fei [5]ʼs darkness corrupted their attacks, and his ice element froze them.

”Dodge!” Da Xiongmao warned the others.
