Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 22: Saving Liu Qingyu

*BAM*

In front of Liu Qingyu, there was a man with long black hair; behind him stood a woman with long brown hair, but the womanʼs eyes had lost their radiance, and her gaze was blank.

The man said with a grin as he continued to stare at Liu Qingyu. ”You wonʼt be able to run from me anymore, Qingyu. I will capture you today, and I will make Chu Hong feel the agony that I have felt since years ago.”

Liu Qingyu gritted her teeth upon hearing that, then she glanced at the woman standing behind him, and she sighed at the sight of the woman. ʼIt seems that she has truly become a puppet now, and she has lost her soul.ʼ ”It wonʼt be easy for you to capture me, Pang Hong!”

Pang Hong snorted and took out his saber, the woman also took out two short daggers, then they mobilized their Qi, and they then directly attacked Liu Qingyu from two directions.

ʼDamn it!ʼ Liu Qingyuʼs body was enveloped by white Qi, then she took out her white sword.

*Clang*

”Gah!” Although Liu Qingyu managed to deflect Pang Hongʼs saber, but the womanʼs dagger hit her back, leaving a deep slash wound.

Liu Qingyu spun around, then she thrust her sword at the woman, and her sword managed to stab the womanʼs shoulder.

Even though Liu Qingyuʼs sword was stabbed in her shoulder, the woman didnʼt seem to feel any pain, and instead swung her dagger at her. At the same time, Pang Hong also swung his saber at her.

Sensing that, Liu Qingyu pulled her sword out from the womanʼs shoulder, then she flew to the side to avoid their attacks, and she waved her hand towards them. The next second, two white swords from Qi shot out from her hand toward them.

”Cheap trick!” Pang Hong, who was shrouded in black Qi, swung his saber toward the white Qi swords.

The woman was the same, she used her two daggers to deflect the white sword Qi.

*BAMM*

A small explosion sounded as their weapons collided with the white sword Qi, the explosion agitated the beasts below, and the two powerful beasts that Liu Qingyu had observed earlier stared at them.

Suddenly, the womanʼs body was blown away, and a white sword Qi was stabbed into her stomach, but the woman still didnʼt show any reaction; she pulled out the white sword Qi and threw it away.

ʼTsk, she really doesnʼt feel any pain anymore.ʼ Liu Qingyu mumbled as she jumped onto a tree branch a bit far from Pang Hong.

The woman then spun in the air, and she immediately landed behind Pang Hong. He raised his eyebrows seeing that, he didnʼt understand how Liu Qingyu could do that. ʼLooks like she has another trick up her sleeve.ʼ ”To think that your abilities have improved more than before, Qingyu.”

”Humph!” Liu Qingyu snorted, and in the next second, ten white swords of Qi appeared around her. ”I told you, it wonʼt be easy for you to capture me, Pang Hong.”

But Pang Hong actually laughed at her words, then he sneered. ”Are you sure, Qingyu?”

Liu Qingyu raised her eyebrows, she suddenly realized something, but it was already too late, because three arrows of black Qi pierced her body from behind. One arrow pierced her left shoulder, another pierced her right hand, and another pierced her leg. The ten sword Qi around her also shattered instantly.

”Argh!” Liu Qingyu screamed in pain, her sword slipped from her hand, and she herself almost fell off a tree branch. Fortunately, her left hand managed to grab the tree branch, then she returned to the tree branch, and sat on it. She held the wound in her hand, as she looked at Pang Hong in shock. ʼHow did his arrows pierce my Light Shield?ʼ

Pang Hongʼs lips curled up, then he stretched out his hand, and three black Qi arrows appeared in his hand. ”Heh, I know that your Light Shield is indeed extraordinary, but my Dark Qi is already different from before, and your Light Shield wonʼt be able to withstand it anymore.”

ʼDamn it!ʼ Liu Qingyu felt a little fear in her heart, she had always relied on her Light Shield, but now Pang Hongʼs Dark Qi had broken through her Light Shield. ʼWhat should I do now? If he manages to capture me, then it will endanger my family.ʼ

”Youʼd better surrender to me, Qingyu. Otherwise, I will definitely make you suffer.” Pang Hong said with a vile grin, then he ordered the woman behind him. ”Capture that woman, my puppet.”

Having received orders from Pang Hong, the woman immediately moved toward Liu Qingyu. She gritted her teeth, her body was still in pain from being hit by his three arrows earlier, and she was unable to move freely.

But suddenly Liu Qingyu felt that someone was hugging her waist, and they instantly teleported to a tree branch further away. Pang Hong was shocked to see that, the woman also stopped on the branch of the tree where Liu Qingyu was earlier, Pang Hong stared at Liu Qingyu who was some distance away in disbelief.

Pang Hong was even more shocked when he saw the man who was hugging Liu Qingyuʼs waist, the man with long white hair with big fox ears, and a fox tail behind his hips, moreover the man looked so handsome and dashing.

Liu Qingyu then looked back, and she was dumbfounded when she saw his face, but somehow she felt so close to him, and she also felt a tremendous attraction towards him. ʼWhat happened to me? Why am I so attracted to him? And this feeling is like the one I had for the little fox.ʼ

[Her wound is quite severe, Master. Use your Light Qi to heal the wound.] Mei said.

The man was none other than Zhang Fei in his half-fox form, he channeled his Light Qi into Liu Qingyuʼs body according to Meiʼs instructions, as he asked her. ”Are you all right, Qingyu?ʼ
