Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 8: Ru Xue Decision

Meanwhile, Ru Xue sat pensively on the sofa and continued to rub under her navel, still thinking about Zhang Feiʼs words about her husband dying if he tried to touch her. She is still in a dilemma about whether to believe his words or not, but she also doesnʼt dare take them lightly, especially after seeing his Incubus form with her own eyes.

”Mom? Why are you acting so weird?” Xu Lingʼer asked as she climbed onto her motherʼs lap and snuggled into her arms.

Ru Xue sighed in her heart and hugged her daughter, then she asked her. ”Do you really like Zhang Fei, Lingʼer?”

”En.” Xu Lingʼer nodded repeatedly and explained with a sweet smile. ”I really like him, Mom. Big Brother Fei is very kind and caring to me, and I feel very happy when Iʼm with him.”

Ru Xue smiled upon hearing that, she herself was aware that her daughter was very close to Zhang Fei, she even often stayed over at Zhang Chenʼs house to be with him. Even though her daughter was only ten years old, in reality, she was much more mature than her peers, so she asked again. ”Lingʼer, what do you think if father and mother divorced? And who do you want to live with?”

Hearing that, Xu Lingʼer abruptly looked up at her mother, and she asked with a broad smile. ”Is that true, Mom? You are going to divorce him?”

”Eh?” Ru Xue was surprised by her daughterʼs reaction, especially seeing her smile after hearing that. ”Do you wish your mother would divorce your father?”

Xu Lingʼer nodded vigorously and replied. ”Even though he is my father, I really hate him because he often treats you harshly, and he also often beats you, so I really hope you divorce him, Mom.”

Ru Xue was momentarily stunned hearing that, then she asked in shock. ”How... How did you know that?”

Xu Lingʼer then hugged her motherʼs neck and softly spoke in her ear. ”All this time, you two always thought that I was asleep when you two were fighting, but the fact is that I always listened to you guys, and I also often heard you cry. But I was really afraid of him, so I didnʼt dare say anything to you.”

Hearing that, Ru Xue sighed heavily in her heart; she really didnʼt expect that her daughter would know about their quarrel. Moreover, she had always hidden it in her heart, and she made up her mind. ”Mom has already decided to divorce your father tomorrow, Lingʼer.”

”Yay!” Xu Lingʼer exclaimed happily upon hearing that, and she hugged her mother even tighter, she was truly happy with her motherʼs decision, and she then said. ”Anyway, if youʼve already divorced him, youʼd better marry Big Brother Fei afterward, Mom.”

”Eh?” Ru Xue was stunned upon hearing that. She then released her daughter from her arms and cupped her cheeks. ”Why do you want me to marry Zhang Fei?”

”Hehe, Big Brother Fei is a good man, and Iʼm sure he will love and take care of us, Mom.” Xu Lingʼer replied as she giggled, then added in her heart. ʼAs long as I can be with Big brother Fei forever, I donʼt mind if he becomes my stepfather.ʼ

Ru Xue hugged her daughter again and caressed her head as she smiled. She had been hesitant to divorce her husband because of her daughter. But unexpectedly, she actually supports her decision to divorce him. Moreover, she also supported her being together with Zhang Fei, which made her feel relieved.

*Crack*

They looked towards the door, and Xu Lingʼer immediately snorted at her father, she then buried her face in her motherʼs chest. ʼHumph! Mom has decided to divorce you, and you wonʼt be able to hurt her again from tomorrow.ʼ

”I want to talk to you, husband.” Ru Xue stated solemnly.

”Hmm?” Xu Xuan raised his eyebrows upon seeing his wifeʼs serious expression, after which he sat in front of them and asked. ”What did you want to talk to me about, wife?”

Since she already had her daughterʼs support, Ru Xue no longer hesitated to divorce her husband, and she then answered him. ”I want to divorce you, I canʼt stand your attitude towards me anymore, and Lingʼer has also agreed with my decision.”

Xu Xuan was stunned for a long time after hearing that, his face darkened, and he asked loudly in anger. ”What did you just say?”

Xu Lingʼer then looked at her father and shouted angrily at him. ”Donʼt scold Mom anymore! I want Mom to divorce you because you always treat her badly, and you even beat her with your belt or other things!”

Xu Xuan froze at his daughterʼs words; he then turned to his wife with a frown, and he thought that it was his wife who had told their daughter about it.

”You donʼt have to stare at Mom like that!” Xu Lingʼer said as she covered her mother with her small body. ”Even though Iʼm still a child, I already understand a lot of things. Moreover, I often hear the two of you fight, and I also often see Mom crying because of you.”

Ru Xue sighed inwardly, then carried her daughter to her bedroom and said to her husband. ”You donʼt even know our daughterʼs character; although Lingʼer is still a child, she is much more mature than you think. Anyway, I have thought about it carefully, I will contact my lawyer tomorrow morning and ask him to take care of our divorce, so you can talk to him directly.”

After saying that, Ru Xue brought her daughter into her room, and she lay beside her while sobbing. Even though she had decided on that, but they had been married for a very long time, and it still made her feel sad. Furthermore, she had no choice, even though her husband frequently mistreated her, but she didnʼt want him to die as a result of Zhang Feiʼs mark on her body.

On the other hand, Xu Xuan was slumped on the sofa, he didnʼt expect that his wife would make such a decision, and even their daughter supported her in it. After thinking for a long time, he got up and went to his room, and before long he was carrying two large suitcases.

He then opened his daughterʼs room and saw they were asleep; he could only sigh and leave the house afterward because the house belonged to his wife, which was inherited from her parents.
