Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 21: Swamp Forest

In a dense swamp forest, three women stood on the branches of a large tree, and a little fox lay relaxed on the head of the youngest woman. They looked around warily, and beneath them were various types of large beasts, but they didnʼt seem interested in the beasts below them.

ʼHey Mei, explain to me about the stages of the beasts.ʼ Zhang Fei asked, as he observed the beasts below them, he felt that the beasts were stronger than him.

[Basically, beasts are ranked the same as cultivators, Master. But the difference is the stages after Quasi-Divine, above Quasi-Divine, are Divine, Mythical, Immortal, and the last one is Primordial]

Zhang Fei raised his eyebrows upon hearing that. ʼDivine, Mythical, Immortal, and Primordial?ʼ

[Yes! Based on the data provided by the creator, there were only two Primordial beasts in the entire universe.]

[Divine rank: Luan, Thunder Bird, Raiju, and many more.]

[Mythical Rank: Golden Dragon, Fire and Ice Phoenix, Qilin, and many more. Oh, Heavenly Fox is also a Mythical beast.]

[As for the Immortal and Primordial Rank, I donʼt have the data about these two ranks.]

ʼHmm? Heavenly Fox is also a Mythical beast?ʼ Zhang Fei was surprised to hear that because he had also read about various kinds of mythical creatures from various countries before, but he had never read about the Heavenly Fox, so he asked curiously. ʼDo the beasts still exist?ʼ

[Yes, Heavenly Fox is a Mythical beast, and those beasts still exist, Master. Even some are still residing on earth.]

Zhang Fei was shocked to hear that, he really didnʼt expect that there were still mythical creatures on earth. ʼIf there are still beasts residing on earth, then why are there no cultivators and Qi?ʼ

[I donʼt know why there are no cultivators and Qi on earth, Master. Because the creator didnʼt leave any record about it.]

Zhang Fei shook his head and sighed, then he asked again. ʼHave you found the location of the Python-Tailed Tiger?ʼ

[There are three Python-Tailed Tigers in the center of this swamp forest.]

Liu Qingyu suddenly spoke. ”We have to go to the center of this swamp forest, I detected a Python-Tailed Tiger over there.”

After she said that, Liu Qingyu immediately flew towards the center of the swamp forest, Chu Qing and Chu Ying following behind her.

In about ten minutes, they arrived at the center of the swamp forest, and in the center was a fairly large cave, but the surrounding area was also filled with powerful beasts.

”The beasts around the cave are very strong, Mom.” Chu Ying said, as her eyes continued to observe the beasts.

Liu Qingyu nodded in agreement, she didnʼt dare to act rashly herself, because there were two beasts slightly above her, and she wouldnʼt be able to face them at the same time.

Chu Qing then asked impatiently. ”What should we do now, Mom? Shall we share the task of luring the beasts away first?”

”We canʼt do that, Qingʼer.” Liu Qingyu shook her head. ”Most of the beasts are stronger than you and Yingʼer, it would be dangerous for both of you if we split up.”

Zhang Fei also seemed to be in deep thought, especially since Mei had already informed him of the beastʼs strength, so he wasnʼt surprised that Liu Qingyu didnʼt dare to make hasty decisions.

[Actually, it was very easy for you to get rid of those beasts, Master.] Zhang Fei was puzzled by her words, Mei then continued. [You are Heavenly Fox, Master. If you release your beast aura, then the beasts will run away, but it will reveal your beast identity to Liu Qingyu.]

Zhang Fei kept racking his brain, thinking of a solution so they could enter the cave, and then he asked. ʼCan I use my demon eyes on those beasts?ʼ

[Unfortunately, you canʼt use your demon eyes on those beasts, Master.] After that, Mei fell silent, and a few moments later she spoke again. [The only way is to use your demon pheromone, but those three women will also be affected.]

ʼDemon pheromone, huh?ʼ Zhang Fei was inwardly muttering, and he was unsure whether to use it or not because he didnʼt want the three of them to be forced to become his women, especially Chu Qing and Chu Ying, who were still virgins.

”It seems—” Liu Qingyu wanted to say something, but suddenly she stopped talking and frowned, and she looked into the distance, then gave a low cry. ”You two get out of here now!”

”But Mom-”

Liu Qingyu interrupted Chu Ying. ”Quickly get your little sister out of here, Yingʼer.”

”Alright then.” Chu Ying turned to fly away, as she grabbed her little sisterʼs hand.

Chu Qing flew, as she kept looking back, and she asked anxiously. ”Are we leaving Mom, Big Sis?”

”Looks like Mom detected something or someone dangerous, Qingʼer.” Chu Ying actually didnʼt want to leave her mother either, but if they stayed, then they would become a hindrance to their mother.

ʼWhat the hell happened, Mei? Why does Qingyu look panicked?ʼ Zhang Fei asked nervously, as he didnʼt want anything to happen to Liu Qingyu.

[Master, there are two people whose strength is on par with her heading towards the center of the swamp, and it looks like theyʼre coming for her because their auras lock onto her.]

Zhang Fei darkened upon hearing that, then he looked back; he wouldnʼt let Liu Qingyue die, as he wanted to have her as his woman. He didnʼt care anymore if they were suspicious of him, then he spoke to Chu Qing via telepathy. ʼYou two keep flying away, I will save your mother!ʼ

Chu Qing was taken aback by Zhang Feiʼs voice in her mind, but before she could say anything to him, he had already used his teleportation to return to Liu Qingyuʼs place.

”What happened to you, Qingʼer?” Chu Ying asked, as her eyes continued to focus forward, and she did not notice that Zhang Fei was no longer with them.

”Nothing, Iʼm just worried about mom.” She then looked back, and she inwardly muttered. ʼI hope you can save mom and come back safely, because you owe me an explanation, Qiao (Zhang Fei).ʼ
