The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2405: Chapter 2405: Prototype Emerges

Jing Yan floated above, his gaze calmly observing the rapidly collapsing abandoned ore veins below.

Not to mention the Black Crystal Stones within these ore veins had already been completely mined, even a vein of unmined Black Crystal Stones could never withstand Jing Yan’s power.

The large Palm Seal in the space gradually descended, finally aligning horizontally with the external horizon; only then did Jing Yan slowly retract the Divine Power within himself. Thus, this massive abandoned ore vein vanished from the horizon, leaving behind only gray dust all around. Some of the dust, carried by the breeze, floated and scattered farther away.

Of course, though the ore veins extended several tens of thousands of meters underground, and despite the protrusions being flattened by Jing Yan, the honeycomb-like cavities below remained. Jing Yan had no intention of obliterating these cavities; they could be utilized.

Jing Yan planned to build a city. If it were just an ordinary city, it might not hold much allure for cultivators. After all, large cities stood in the east, south, and north of this area. If Jing Yan’s city had no unique features, why would cultivators come here? In Kunling Heaven, Jing Yan had no foothold.

Even if Jing Yan established the city, cultivators might feel it could be destroyed by other forces at any time.

Therefore, even before arriving in Kunling Heaven, Jing Yan planned to construct a city with substantial attraction even within Kunling Heaven.

He intended to create a Super Spiritual Array beneath the city. He hoped that just by entering the city, one could enjoy the rich nature’s spiritual energy, akin to that at the Tianji Trading House Headquarters.

Achieving this would not be easy; it required a vast amount of resources.

The Black Crystal Stones that Jing Yan currently had were far from sufficient to realize his plan.

Indeed, such a city could not be built in a single stroke. To bring out the Super Spiritual Array, the first step was to set up a Spirit Gathering Array in this region. Otherwise, however much spiritual energy the underground Super Spiritual Array released, it would gradually disperse across the entire Thunder Domain and the whole of Kunling Heaven. Establishing a Spirit Gathering Array could concentrate the spiritual energy released by the underground spiritual array in this region, and even slowly absorb spiritual energy from outside the city.

”Wuxia, Yiming, I have a task for you.” Jing Yan looked at Wuxia and Xu Yiming.

”Please give your orders, my lord,” Xu Yiming promptly said.

Wuxia Immortal Venerable gazed at Jing Yan with beautiful eyes.

”Come, you both, come over here.” Jing Yan beckoned the two closer, then descended from the air.

After Wuxia Immortal Venerable and Xu Yiming walked over, he extended a finger, unleashing a wisp of Divine Power. This wisp of Divine Power quickly drew on the ground, and as Jing Yan moved, a pattern gradually emerged.

This pattern depicted a number of buildings, with wide streets between the buildings.

Jing Yan spent a full three hours completing this drawing.

”Lord Jing Yan, is this a city?” Xu Yiming looked at the pattern and then at Jing Yan.

”Yes, this is the prototype of a city. In the future, the city will be much larger than the drawing shows. But for now, this prototype is sufficient.” Jing Yan nodded.

He then waved his arm, and a large quantity of materials flew out from the Qiankun World; most were various ores and precious woods.

”Wuxia, Yiming. Now, I’ll need you to start constructing the prototype of the city according to this drawing. Look here; this is the city center, where we are standing now. You two can start building from the center.” Jing Yan instructed.

”Rest assured, Lord Jing Yan, I, Xu Yiming, will give it my all.” Xu Yiming said with a cupped fist salute.

Wuxia Immortal Venerable did not speak; she directly began the construction.

Her jade hand raised, activating a substantial amount of Divine Power. Under her divine power control, the foundations for the first building began to take shape within moments.

For experts in the Immortal Venerable Realm, constructing these houses and buildings was exceedingly simple. These were very ordinary buildings, not requiring the use of the Power of Laws, and could be completed in an instant.

Though Xu Yiming was not in the Immortal Venerable Realm, he was at the peak of the Immortal Rhythm Netherworld Realm, and was also a Soul Cultivator, allowing him to construct houses swiftly. Xu Yiming and Wuxia Immortal Venerable constantly activated their Divine Power to build one house after another.

Meanwhile, Jing Yan was not idle.

He quickly flew a circuit around a set range. During the flight, he purposefully made some markings.

”This is the range of the Inner City!”

”Let’s build the Inner City first.”

”The Spirit Gathering Array should first cover the Inner City. When more people come here in the future, then we can expand outward.”

Jing Yan’s eyes slightly narrowed.

After determining the Inner City’s range, Jing Yan began setting up the Spirit Gathering Array. Jing Yan had studied formations from when he was weak, moving from his hometown in a Low-class World to the Chaos World, and his energy in formations had always been strong. After arriving in the Immortal Domain, even though Jing Yan hadn’t devoted much effort to formations, he possessed an almost perfect Divine Soul Body, enabling him to attain a high level in formation with minimal effort.

Setting up a Spirit Gathering Array was hardly challenging for Jing Yan. As long as there were sufficient materials, a Spirit Gathering Array could be established quickly.

Days passed.

In the blink of an eye, Jing Yan and the others had been continually constructing here for a month. During this month, they faced no external disturbances. This area was originally an abandoned ore vein, rarely visited by cultivators. Even the closest three cities did not have cultivators coming here to view the area idly.

Thus, when buildings began to rise, and a visible cluster of structures appeared, still no cultivators noticed the changes occurring in this place.

However, these changes likely would not remain concealed for much longer. As soon as a single cultivator discovered these structures, all the cultivators in the Thunder Domain would quickly learn someone was building something on this vast abandoned ore vein.

Jing Yan did not expect to keep it hidden for long.

After a month, the city’s prototype was almost fully constructed, with the Spirit Gathering Array’s foundation also complete.

Consequently, the various materials Jing Yan had brought along had already been significantly depleted; this was only the beginning.

A city, clearly, required multiple layers of defensive, assault-constricting array protections; these were the bare minimum defensive capabilities needed, or else any cultivator could come along and easily level the city. Even Nether Sky Realm cultivators could destroy an undefended city completely in the time it takes to brew a cup of tea.
