The Sword God of the Universe

Chapter 2403: Chapter 2403: Let’s See How He Establishes Himself

On the Heavenly Domain Flying Boat, Mi Yiran had already spoken to Jing Yan about the background of Xihua Immortal Venerable.

Thus, Jing Yan already knew that behind Xihua Immortal Venerable was an ancient Immortal Venerable from Eastern Marvel Heaven; Xihua Immortal Venerable was the disciple of this ancient Immortal Venerable.

Upon hearing Elder Jin Cheng’s inquiry, Jing Yan naturally responded, ”On the Heavenly Domain Flying Boat, I indeed killed an Immortal Venerable named Xihua. This person had some background, and thus relied on it to violate the rules of Tianji Trading House. Hehe, I killed him not to uphold Tianji Trading House’s rules, but because he bullied my Faro Heaven cultivators.”

Elder Jin Cheng glanced deeply at Jing Yan.

”Elder Jin Cheng, Xihua Immortal Venerable’s behavior was indeed quite excessive.” Mi Yiran interjected.

Elder Jin Cheng nodded to Mi Yiran, then turned his gaze to Jing Yan and said, ”Fellow Daoist Jing Yan, although your intent was not to uphold the rules of Tianji Trading House, the result nevertheless maintained our reputation. On behalf of Tianji Trading House, I thank Fellow Daoist Jing Yan.”

”However, behind this Xihua Immortal Venerable is Emu Supreme of Eastern Marvel Heaven. After knowing his disciple’s death, Emu Supreme might seek revenge. Although Emu Supreme is in Eastern Marvel Heaven, it is difficult to say that he won’t come to Kunling Heaven to avenge you, Fellow Daoist Jing Yan. Be cautious, Fellow Daoist Jing Yan.” Elder Jin Cheng’s eyes flickered.

”Thank you for the warning, Elder Jin Cheng. I will certainly be careful.” Jing Yan pressed his lips together.

”That’s good! Chief Mi, Fellow Daoist Jing Yan has traveled from Faro Heaven to Kunling Heaven and must be weary. Please arrange accommodations for them.” Elder Jin Cheng said to Mi Yiran.

”There’s no need for that, we will be leaving Zixiao City in two days, so we won’t be staying. We’ve come from Faro Heaven and haven’t seen a city as grand as Zixiao City, so in these two days, we want to explore the city and witness its splendor.” Jing Yan smiled and declined Elder Jin Cheng’s offer to arrange accommodations for them.

Tianji Trading House’s attitude was evident; they weren’t too welcoming towards them. Given this, why stay temporarily?

Moreover, Jing Yan indeed planned to utilize these two days in Zixiao City to better understand the situation of Thunder Domain. As of now, he doesn’t even know the exact location of Thunder Domain.

”If that’s the case, then I won’t hold you back, Fellow Daoist Jing Yan.” Elder Jin Cheng indeed had no intention of detaining them.

”Farewell!” Jing Yan cupped his hands and stood up.

Wuxia Immortal Venerable and Xu Yiming followed Jing Yan to their feet.

Mi Yiran escorted the three out of Tianji Trading House headquarters.

”Elder, Immortal Venerable Jing Yan is extremely formidable. Having him join us could significantly elevate the overall strength of Tianji Trading House.” Mi Yiran suggested after sending Jing Yan away from the headquarters and returning to Elder Jin Cheng.

Mi Yiran could also see that Elder Jin Cheng wasn’t strongly inclined to retain Jing Yan. Although he expressed a desire for Jing Yan to join Tianji Trading House, there was no genuine sincerity behind his words.

Elder Jin Cheng coldly chuckled, saying, ”You mean to say this person eliminated Xihua Immortal Venerable with a single strike?”

”Indeed, although I wasn’t there to witness it myself, there were many cultivators present, and they certainly wouldn’t be mistaken.” Mi Yiran nodded.

”If this is true, then Jing Yan’s strength is indeed not weak. But to have him join Tianji Trading House, we must also bear some cost. If he becomes part of Tianji Trading House, Emu Supreme’s revenge will be directed at us.” Elder Jin Cheng replied.

”But why should Tianji Trading House worry about an Emu Supreme?” Mi Yiran retorted nonchalantly.

”Indeed, Tianji Trading House need not fear an Emu Supreme from Eastern Marvel Heaven. Even if Emu Supreme comes to Kunling Heaven, he poses little threat to Tianji Trading House.” Elder Jin Cheng’s eyes squinted.

”However, Emu Supreme poses a true threat to Jing Yan! If we block Emu Supreme for him, shouldn’t he repay us in some way?”

”You can see it too — pure arrogance! He may have strength, but he’s just one person. What can one person do from Faro Heaven to Kunling Heaven? To flaunt himself before Tianji Trading House like this is truly unaware of the limits of heaven and earth.”

Mi Yiran remained silent.

”Just wait! He may be worth recruiting, but now isn’t the best time. When Emu Supreme seeks revenge and he finds himself nowhere to turn, that’s when we of Tianji Trading House extend our aid — then he’ll be grateful to us!” Elder Jin Cheng continued.

”Elder is wise!” Mi Yiran complimented.

”This person mentioned staying in Zixiao City for two days, yes? Then set someone to keep an eye on him and see what activities he engages in. Also, track where he goes after leaving Zixiao City. I’d like to see how he establishes himself in Kunling Heaven, freshly arrived as he is.” Elder Jin Cheng gestured.

”Yes!” Mi Yiran responded, then exited the building to instruct others to monitor Jing Yan and his two companions.

Jing Yan and the other two initially found an inn in Zixiao City for temporary lodging and then began to gather information and further grasp Kunling Heaven’s structure.

Undeniably, Kunling Heaven is extraordinarily chaotic.

There are as many as five Heavenly Lords.

Yet, even with the presence of five Heavenly Lords, the territories they control collectively constitute only about half of Kunling Heaven. The remaining half of the domain exists in a fragmented state.

Kunling Heaven’s chaos practically rivals that of the Nightmare City region.

Furthermore, as powerful as Tianji Trading House is, there are not one or two such forces in Kunling Heaven. Within two days’ understanding, Jing Yan heard the names of more than five highly potent forces.

Across all of Kunling Heaven, cities equivalent in scale to Zixiao City number in the double digits.

Jing Yan couldn’t help but marvel; this place... truly deserves its reputation as the most formidable Heavenly Domain within the entire Primordial Chaos Immortal Domain, far beyond what Faro Heaven could compare to.

Jing Yan also specifically investigated the whereabouts of the Immortal Emperor but to no avail. Within Kunling Heaven, the traces of Immortal Emperors are indeed more abundant than in Faro Heaven and such domains, yet they are still beyond the reach of ordinary cultivators.

Two days later, Jing Yan and the others departed Zixiao City, heading toward Thunder Domain.

The journey from Zixiao City to Thunder Domain is quite distant. The three traveled via a Flying Boat. While Jing Yan and his companions could fly directly to Thunder Domain, doing so might be less efficient and fraught with potential risks. Kunling Heaven is chaotic, with various forces claiming territories. Flying directly from Zixiao City to Thunder Domain, one may cross numerous territories, leading to conflicts and even battles.

To minimize troubles, choosing to travel by Flying Boat is a sensible decision.
