Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 931: Chapter 932: A Prosperous Family Aura

Both families returned in high spirits, with Father Cheng being supported by Mother Cheng while waving to Father Qi and the others: ”In-laws, let’s drink again next time, hiccup...”

Father Qi was also feeling dizzy from drinking, hiccuping while agreeing.

After seeing off Father Cheng and the others, Father Qi was led into the house by Mother Qi, continuously saying good things, which made Mother Qi’s ears fill with grease.

Mother Qi mixed him a cup of honey water to relieve the alcohol. Seeing his face flushed red, she couldn’t help but pat his hand, saying: ”You show your life at parties; two drops of horse urine made you want to sell your son to them, hmph.”

During dinner, Father Qi kept speaking highly of Father Cheng, praising Taiguo rightfully, and bragging about all sorts of good things about the daughter-in-law. Hmph, what’s so great about her?

As for Father Cheng, he spoke well too, only saying nothing but good things about Taiguo.

It’s that in-law mother who couldn’t stop boasting about how her daughter brings prosperity to her husband and children, almost saying Cheng Su was one of a kind.

”I’m happy, truly happy,” Father Qi waved his hand, his eyes a bit blurry, saying: ”The in-law mother is right, this daughter-in-law is well wed, brings prosperity to husband and children, very good, very good!”

”Prosper what? We haven’t even seen the shadow of a grandson yet!” Mother Qi said sourly.

Father Qi glanced over and said: ”They have a good relationship; a grandson is sure to come. Now our family is good, Taiguo has a higher military rank, the daughter-in-law can earn money, our family is getting more prosperous. It’s a sign of a flourishing family, a flourishing family sign!”

Mother Qi curled her lip: ”Just two drops of horse urine, and you can say anything.”

”Help me up, I need to pay homage to the ancestors, to tell them that our Taiguo has become successful. In the future, when Jianguo gets into college, he will be successful too! Quickly, help me up!” Father Qi struggled to get up.

”Oh dear, go easy for a moment!” Mother Qi had no choice but hurriedly helped him towards the family shrine.

After offering incense and saying a lot, Father Qi tumbled into bed and snored right away.

Mother Qi was out of steam but genuinely happy, tidied up a bit, then lay down to sleep, thinking about her successful eldest son, smiling in her dreams.

The Cheng family, Father Cheng and others were talking too.

Father Cheng, having drunk a sobering drink, was quite clear-headed, leaning on the bed and talking to his wife.

”...Taiguo is indeed successful; I truly didn’t misjudge him back then. Susu is rightly married,” Father Cheng said cheerfully.

Mother Cheng grunted: ”If her mother-in-law were easy to talk to, I might agree with you. You heard her tonight; she kept talking about how capable and accomplished Taiguo is, saying our Susu has climbed high! Hmph, her son is successful, so our daughter isn’t successful? She’s a college graduate and can do business to make money. This kind of daughter-in-law, she couldn’t find another one like this within ten miles around here.”

She just can’t stand Mother Qi’s smug expression, as if Cheng Su was so lacking, whereas their Cheng Su truly is the prosperous wife who benefits her husband and children.

”Yes, our girl is quite good too, she’s successful. They’re both good, quite good.” Father Cheng was thoroughly satisfied.

The son-in-law is capable, and the daughter is not lacking either; these two are truly a match, that’s why he said this marriage was right, even though back then it was somewhat selfishly done, this marriage was a little disgraceful.

But what does it matter, the truth proves Qi Taiguo and Cheng Su are truly destined, a perfect match made in heaven, right? The present situation illustrates it all, doesn’t it?
