Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 911: Chapter 912: Zhang Jisheng Courting Disaster

Hualing left, and Chen Shouwang was often nowhere to be seen. Their house was frequently shut tight. Sometimes when Cheng Su looked, she felt a bit stifled, but she also knew that it was someone else’s family matter, and she couldn’t interfere.

Since she couldn’t meddle, she didn’t. Cheng Su focused on her own business. She had already discussed the Joy Soon Loy Restaurant’s plan with Qi Taiguo, including buying land and reconstruction. As she expected, since she had a plan, he had no objections.

Thus, Cheng Su formally put the Joy Soon Loy Restaurant’s construction plan on the agenda.

First, there was the matter of shares. Ning Ge was still in Beijing, busy with who knows what, and had not been seen for a long time. He only sent a remittance of twenty thousand yuan to Cheng Su, saying he wanted to buy shares.

As for Luh Kai and Old Song, it had already been agreed upon. Cheng Su prepared detailed shareholder agreements, with Ning Ge’s to be signed upon his return, whereas Old Song’s side signed after reviewing it.

With both parties signing the shareholder agreement, it meant that Joy Soon Loy Restaurant now had three additional shareholders, and the annual revenue would be distributed according to the number of shares.

With the funds in place, Cheng Su found Dazhi to help and secured a reliable construction team to undertake the new Joy Soon Loy Restaurant.

The old restaurant was to be torn down, with only the side buildings remaining in business, so it wouldn’t be as busy. There seemed to be extra staff in the restaurant, so Cheng Su rearranged the shifts, assigning some employees to help at the fast food place near the train station, and scheduled more breaks.

The construction started on the tenth day of October. Everything in the old building had to be moved out, and there were various materials to be purchased. Sometimes Cheng Su had to attend classes and wished she could split into two to handle the workload.

Seeing this, Qi Taiguo offered to help. He applied for more night shifts so he could assist in managing Joy Soon Loy during the day.

Initially, Cheng Su was worried he didn’t understand the business, but while Qi Taiguo might not understand the business, he had the authority. His decisions were firm, and almost no one dared to procrastinate or deceive due to his military aura, which was quite imposing!

With this, things actually went more smoothly. Cheng Su teased him, saying if he ever stopped being a soldier, becoming a security big shot was certainly within his reach.

Qi Taiguo, pleased with the compliment, put all his effort into seeking more praise, so often Cheng Su ended up rosy-cheeked, and everyone asked her what skincare she was using.

Of course, Cheng Su only responded with a smile to such questions.

On the tenth day of October, a good day to begin work, Cheng Su personally paid respects to the gods, and Joy Soon Loy officially started construction. They began by demolishing the building, and due to the dust from demolition, Joy Soon Loy intentionally halted operations for a few days.

One day, when Qi Taiguo returned home from supervising, his face showed displeasure. He found Cheng Su and asked, ”Tell me, is Zhang Jisheng getting fed up working in the renovation team?”

Cheng Su was startled, ”What happened?”

”I went with the construction team leader to find that renovation leader, named Dazhi, and saw him confronting the renovation leader,” Qi Taiguo said with a stern face.

Cheng Su’s expression changed several times, then she sneered, ”He is fed up for sure. Didn’t I tell you? He thinks it’s tough over there and wants to replace Song Xiaojang as the purchaser for our family cafeterias.”

Qi Taiguo’s face turned ugly, annoyed, ”Why didn’t you tell me earlier.”

He really didn’t know Zhang Jisheng had such nerve. Today, seeing him stand up to his boss, it was like he was asking for trouble, as if he had become a different person. How can someone change so quickly?
