Interdimensional Pornstar System

He watched a few videos to get started with working out. He looked up beginner exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, and squats, trying to understand the proper form before attempting anything himself.

’Alright! Let’s get started!’

He said, getting down onto the floor.

He spread his hands roughly shoulder-width apart, straightened his back, tightened his core, and took a proper push-up position.

Then he slowly lowered himself toward the floor before pushing himself back up.

’1...’

’Fuck... why is this so tough?!’

After just a single push-up, he could already feel how weak he really was.

He wasn’t overweight or particularly heavy, yet his own body was making something as simple as a push-up feel like a serious challenge.

’2... 2...’

His arms trembled slightly.

But he didn’t stop.

Hardship came before victory.

He lowered himself again, slowly and carefully, then pushed himself back up.

’3...’

’4...’

His breathing became heavier.

’5...’

His arms were already starting to burn.

’6...’

’7...’

Sweat began forming across his forehead.

’8...’

’9...’

’10...’

’11...’

’12...’

He continued with all his might, even though every muscle in his body was begging him to stop.

His arms were shaking violently by the end, but he somehow managed to complete the first set.

The moment he finished, his arms gave out.

Thud!

Kyle collapsed onto the floor.

His chest heaved as he desperately sucked in air, while his arms throbbed with an unfamiliar soreness.

”Fuck! How can people do this shit so normally?! Some people can do hundreds of these! What the fuck?! I got rolled into the dirt by doing just twelve!”

Kyle turned onto his back and stared at the ceiling.

His entire upper body was sweating after only one set, and his arms felt like someone had replaced his bones with lead.

[Well, it’s not like they were born with strength or muscles from day one.]

The system explained.

[They started somewhere too. They kept training consistently, and that’s why they can eventually do hundreds of push-ups in one go. There are also many variations, such as diamond push-ups, wide-grip push-ups, decline push-ups, and even one-arm push-ups.]

Kyle stared blankly at the ceiling.

[And yes, some people can perform extremely ridiculous variations. The Russian thing I mentioned was a joke, so don’t take that seriously.]

”I know I’m not dumb...”

Kyle muttered.

He stayed on the floor for a few more minutes, allowing his breathing to settle and his arms to recover before forcing himself back up.

”Alright... second set.”

He returned to the push-up position.

”1...”

His arms immediately began trembling again.

”2...”

”3...”

Thud!

”Fuck!”

He collapsed.

It was even worse than the first set.

He had barely managed four repetitions before his arms completely gave out.

Kyle tried pushing himself up again.

Nothing.

His arms felt frozen, like popsicles.

He couldn’t even move them an inch.

”What the fuck?! What the hell happened?! Why can’t I get up?!”

[That’s called failure, son!]

The system sounded almost amused.

[Looks like you’ve hit your current limit. Take some rest, or switch to another exercise if you want.]

”Switch? What’s that?”

Kyle was confused.

[You can alternate between different exercises rather than repeatedly performing the same movement. It’s sometimes structured as a superset, though since you’re already struggling, I wouldn’t recommend doing it without sufficient rest.]

The system paused before continuing.

[Honestly, I think you should buy the Basic Workout Program from the marketplace. It would help you much more than randomly watching videos.]

”How? It costs three points to buy it. Why should I buy it instead of watching YouTube videos?”

Kyle asked.

[Then let me ask you this: would you rather have a personal trainer who understands your body, knows how to structure your training, and can account for your weaknesses and strengths, or watch random videos made for a general audience that know absolutely nothing about you?]

”Of course I’m going to choose the trainer.”

Kyle gave the obvious answer.

[Then why are you wasting time? The Basic Workout Program essentially functions as a personalized training guide. Didn’t you even read the description of the item in the shop?]

The system sounded mildly annoyed.

[And another thing: hoarding System Points won’t benefit you by itself. Using them properly will. What’s the point of having resources if you refuse to use them for your own growth? The items in the marketplace exist to help you improve yourself. You should take advantage of them rather than treating every point like it’s sacred.]

”Alright, I get it.”

Kyle nodded.

The system actually had a point.

He opened the marketplace again without hesitation and purchased the Basic Workout Program.

While he was there, he also decided to buy the protein supplement.

[

[System Points: 10]

[Now that’s what I call an investment, son.]

”Let’s see if it’s actually worth it.”

Kyle said hopefully.

[It’s going to be worth more than anything you’ve ever bought on Earth. That’s a bet I’m willing to make.]

The system spoke in its robotic voice, somehow managing to sound strangely proud of itself.

Kyle was about to close the marketplace when his eyes wandered toward another section he hadn’t checked before.

Miscellaneous.

”Wait...”

He frowned.

”I didn’t check this section last time.”

He clicked on it.

The marketplace expanded again.

[

Kyle stared at the list for several seconds.

The category was obviously aimed at the more intimate side of the system.

”Well...”

He scratched his cheek.

”It really is a sex system after all.”

He sighed.

”Not exactly surprising that it has stuff like this.”

The strange combination of oddly specific names and suspiciously cheap prices made the entire marketplace feel like some bizarre off-brand online store.

Kyle looked at his remaining ten points before closing the menu.

”Still... I wish I had a girl to actually make use of some of this stuff.”

He sighed again.

Then his expression became determined.

”First, I need to find one.”

The system remained silent for a moment.

[Finally, you’re thinking about the actual quest again.]
