The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 550: An Amazing Person, Yet Flawed

”I get it, I get it, I get it! This is so interesting, Kaelith! What else is there to learn about this?” I say, fascinated by Kaelith’s immense sexual knowledge. She’s amazing!!!

”There’s still so much I can teach you, Azazel!!” she says, handing me a book. I’ve been learning a lot from her. She’s always around the castle, usually with her many sisters.

”Curious. Well, Kaelith, don’t tell Mama Grimm I’m here! She’d be mad that I’m learning all this naughty stuff!” Kaelith is like the most perverted person I’ve ever seen, and she’s probably the most perverted on the planet. Plus, she’s an extreme masochist like me, who enjoys being brutally hurt and finding pleasure in it.

I’ve heard that Kaelith holds the title of Representative of Lust, while Mama Pandora holds Gluttony. Mama Pandora’s sister holds Wrath, and Mikael, Mama Pandora’s husband, holds Pride, if I remember correctly.

”Alright, Azazel! I won’t tell a thing, heeheehee. It’s so much fun having one of Pandora’s daughters learning things from me. Anyway, I think we’re done here. What do you want to do now?”

”...Kaelith, I have an important question!!! Is something wrong happening in the kingdom?” I’m not oblivious. The scent of blood in the city has grown intensely strong. Because I’m a vampire, smelling blood is easier, and because I’m powerful, my sense of smell can pick it up from practically the entire city.

And recently, about two months ago, the amount of the blood scent increased a lot—a sign of many wounded or dead.

”...” Kaelith makes a tense face as she flops onto her bed. Dozens of sex toys she was using for explanations are also scattered on the bed.

”I probably shouldn’t tell you this. Elena wants to keep it a secret from you, Pandora’s daughters, so you don’t worry about problems that aren’t yours... but we’re at war with the elves. Pandora won the war against the humans, who were the worst problem because they had heroes.”

”But she left for the Abyss without wiping out the elves or the dragons, and now we’re in a low-intensity war with the elves. It’s less intense and destructive than the war against the humans.”

”So it won’t affect the academy, and it doesn’t require you to go to the battlefield. But it will be a long war. Still, Elena is handling it well, along with Freya and Aokitsu.”

”Aren’t you going to help, Kaelith?” I ask her curiously. I know Kaelith isn’t that strong, but she’s not weak either and would be a great help in any normal battle.

”No. Ever since my duty of pretending to be Pandora ended, I’ve been busy with some other things. I won’t enter a battle unless it’s necessary. I’m also short on time since I’m taking care of my many sisters.”

”Besides, my father is still alive and helping where he can, so my father actually managed to replace me in the ongoing war! Even though he’s weaker than me, he’s great at creating Homunculi.”

”I see. So we are at war...” Now the smell of blood makes sense.

’I’d like to join the war...’ I lick my lips, imagining the immense amount of food I could get at once on a battlefield.

For a moment, I’m silent, staring at Kaelith who stares back at me while I think of what to say.

”...”

”Kaelith, I have a big question about the former saint who died in the war. We’re studying kingdom history this week, and she seemed incredibly powerful. Apparently, hydras are absurdly strong.”

”Oh, yes, Lilith was amazing... She had healing powers, barrier magic, and immense destructive capability. And since she was a monster instead of a demon, she was insanely powerful, probably the second most powerful monster on the planet, second only to Pandora.”

”She could devastate a large continent by herself, though when she entered her true form she lost control... Ah, yes, your little sister got a baby hydra, didn’t she?”

”It was raised by Lilith, and Pandora received the egg as a last request or something like that. I didn’t quite understand.”

”Yes! Little sister Lycoris received a hydra. It’s a cute ’animal,’ though it always bites my fingers when I try to touch it. But it has no problem being with Lycoris...” It’s a confusing little monster to understand. After all, it has eaten my fingers and growled at me, but it always hugs Lycoris excitedly.

I decide to drop the subject. Learning about the former saint Lilith might be interesting, but another mystery intrigues me more right now.

”Kaelith, I have another question. Why the hell is Elena’s body so strange? I looked at illustrations and books about succubi because I was interested in the taste, and I found out there’s no other succubus as strange as Elena in appearance and power!”

”...Pandora did something to her, but I don’t know what it is. You’d probably have to ask Elena. But know that Elena used to be weaker than me, and now she’s as strong as Freya, Calypso, and Aokitsu!” Kaelith says something that surprises me.

’That’s incredible... Mama Pandora is so impressive...’ I lick my lips, wanting to taste a little piece of Elena. Her blood must be delicious.

”Hey, hey, hey!!! Kaelith, I have a question!! Is it true that Freya and Aokitsu are having a romance?!” I saw the two of them flirting, and talking to the maids it seems it’s not uncommon.

”Oh yes, hahahaha, it seems so, Azazel. Though I’m not sure since both are pretty private about it. But it’s obvious there’s been romantic tension between them for quite a while now.”

”That’s kind of funny, since Aokitsu is a fox girl with fire powers and Freya is an ice demon,” I say with a smile, even though Aokitsu’s fire is freezing.

”Yes, in a way it is kind of funny, Azazel... Ah, how I wish Pandora were here. The castle was always much livelier with her...” Kaelith speaks with a sad tone.

And I understand her. Mama Pandora is one of a kind. Her presence, her way of acting, and what she does—everything draws attention. From what I’ve seen of her and what I’ve read in books, she always manages to make everything revolve around her, and that’s not a bad thing.

”Kaelith, did you know Mama Pandora has several diaries hidden around the castle?” I ask curiously. I already found one. They all have strange names and a lot of weird things written in them.

”Really?” Kaelith looks at me, surprised.

”Yes. I already found one. Mama Grimm found another and gave it to me. Eclipsya also found one, and Aqua found five of them. Lycoris found two because of the smell of the diaries.”

”They all describe daily things, feelings, and mainly plans for the future. But they were all stuffed in strange places and left there as if forgotten!” I tell her with a smile.

”...”

”Have you read all the ones they found?”

”Oh yes. My sisters let me read the ones they found, and I let them read the ones I have.”

”Which one is the strangest?”

”...Let me think... Probably the diary that little sister Eclipsya found. It was bizarre because the first half, over 200 pages, was just written, [’I’m Going To Kill That Bitch Of Shit’]. Repeated over and over without stopping, and it was written in blood. The second half had hundreds of bizarre drawings of anatomy of things I have no idea what they were!!” When I say this, Kaelith stands up with a little smile.

The truth is, reading that diary scared me. The writing, the form of the writing, the way it was written—everything conveyed a hatred I’ve never seen in Mama Pandora. It was chilling. And both I and Eclipsya, Aqua, and Lycoris felt that spine-chilling cold when reading it. The writing itself transmitted aggression.

”That anatomy one, I think I know what that is. It happens that this isn’t really in the normal history books, but Pandora created an entire universe. Though almost no one here has seen it, it’s a fact that Pandora created a whole universe with living things.”

”She used a lot of anatomical knowledge to learn how to create perfectly functional flesh bodies, and for that, she learned every little piece of living beings’ bodies.”

”Incredible...” I murmur, astonished. A universe? That’s insane!!! I had no idea Mama Pandora created an entire universe.

”Yes, it is indeed incredible. Well, I loved the conversation, but I have to go check on my sisters. You can stay in my room and take any sex toy, drug, aphrodisiac, or anesthetic you want. I don’t mind as long as you don’t take everything.”

”You have to leave a little for your dear Kaelith here, heeheehee.” She walks to the door, smiling at me.

”By the way, Pandora also used to take these things from me. Pandora didn’t like asking others for sex toys, maybe out of embarrassment? Anyway, she always asked me for these things, so doing the same for her daughters is an honor!”

”And also, Pandora is indeed incredible and impressive, but she is also a living being, with flaws, mistakes, and bad decisions. So even if the books glorify her, don’t forget that even Pandora has made mistakes.”

”Now, good luck there. I hope you manage to have a love romance with your sister Eclipsya!” She gave a wave and left the room while I pull a little notebook from my pocket and write some things down.

’Interesting...’ I’ve been investigating Mama Pandora, more out of interest than necessity. When she was still here on this planet, I couldn’t enjoy my time with her as much as I would have liked, but I love learning more about her.

”Really interesting...” I look at Kaelith’s bed full of those fun toys.

”What a shame. I’d love to try some of these, but most are for couples. I want to let Eclipsya try,” I smile, not taking anything. I want my dear little sister Eclipsya to do whatever she wants with me.

Little sister Eclipsya knows she can take things from Kaelith. I’ll let the surprise come. It’s more exciting.

”Hehehehe, I’m so looking forward to Eclipsya’s next attempt!” She’ll undoubtedly try to kidnap me again, and I’m looking forward to that future attempt of hers.
