The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 520: Back on Track, True Pandora

Several thousand years have passed since I’ve been trapped in this mental cocoon. I have trained my mind extensively, honing it like the most powerful blade I could manage. Enough of this farce of suffering in the abyss.

”The day has come!! THE DAY HAS COME TO TURN THE ABYSS INTO HELL HAHAHAHAHAHA!” I cackle maniacally in this empty space, because I have finally created my element.

The absolute element! The element I spent thousands of years crafting, the element that will make me one of the most dangerous beings in the abyss!!

[Doom] The Element of Final Judgment, a sacrifice and rule-based magic, with power by addition! The more you sacrifice to the element, the greater the effect of Annihilating something from a target. It can destroy anything, be it physical, metaphysical, spiritual, or conceptual. It can be a form of random annihilation for a better cost, or a chosen annihilation by the user for a greater cost. Anything sacrificed by using the magic is acceptable.

”Let’s start testing this beauty...” I raise my hand, pointing at the mental cocoon.

”[Doom: Barrier Annihilation = Sacrifice the ability to nourish myself for one week]” When I use it, the magic activates. A blood-red flash covers the mental cocoon and shatters it.

Doom accepts anything as a sacrifice, but the costs are quite high. I have, in short, just sacrificed the ability to obtain energy, nutrients, and anything that food can give me by eating it. I can chew and swallow things, but I will gain absolutely nothing from the act.

”Not eating for a week won’t be a problem for someone like me, even if it partially nullifies the effect of the Devourer passive.” I emerge from the broken mental cocoon, but I’m not going to control my body, which is currently talking to that tentacle bitch.

No, I’m going after something more important—the damn Pandora Yandere. I force my way into the mana path, finding the sea of consciousness.

”[Doom: Mental Limitation Annihilation = I sacrifice... the sight of one of my eyes for 1 month]” I use a fair price. Immediately, I go blind in one eye, and the limitation that prevented me from entering begins to disintegrate into mana fragments.

Soon I emerge inside the sea of consciousness, lying on the ground. The sea of consciousness now belongs 99.99% to Pandora Yandere, but that doesn’t matter. I’m out for blood to get rid of everything. I have so much accumulated hatred that I’m a ticking time bomb.

”[Doom: Causal Limitation Annihilation: I sacrifice part of the mobility of the nerves in my tail for two years in exchange for being able to walk again within the sea of consciousness]” I use a quite heavy sacrifice for my body, which glows red for a few seconds, and then I stand up.

”W-What the hell is happening here!!” Pandora Yandere emerges from the ground, with Tiny Pandora clinging to her leg. At this point, Monster Pandora practically doesn’t exist anymore; she’s been devoured and is being consumed by Pandora Yandere.

”Hello, you bitch. I came here for a little visit... I have a few questions for you,” I say with a big smile. Tiny Pandora, seeing my expression, makes a terrified face.

”How did you get in here?”

”Shut up, bitch! I’m the one asking questions! WHY DID YOU THINK YOU COULD TRY TO CONTROL ME?” I scream at her, fully standing up from the ground.

”I don’t know what you’re...”

”Don’t lie! I know everything! I saw everything, you parasite. You devoured Monster Pandora, and now you’re occupying my mind as if you own the place.”

”...Oh, it’s about that...” Her expression turns cold.

”Hmmm... Alright, I guess it’s fine if I reveal it then. Yes, yes, I am consuming your mind. Want to know why? Because you’re pathetic, Pandora!” She insults me with an insane smile.

”You’re a former human!! Do you think I’ll just accept that?! I deserve control of the body much more!! I should be the true Pandora because your fragile human limitations are what’s holding us back!!”

”You get so focused on this stupid revenge of yours against a bunch of idiotic humans that you don’t even focus on what matters! We are a perfect being, but you waste time and resources on trivial things that have nothing to do with us!!”

”You’re a soft, weak bitch!! Especially after having children!! Look at your situation, you pathetic whore! You don’t deserve to control the body anymore! So I’m taking what is now rightfully mine!! I will be a much better Pandora than you!!!!” She speaks with so much conviction about this.

”Human? So that’s the problem? You think I’m too human? Because I was complacent? Because I had children? Because I let Tiny Pandora live instead of destroying her? Because I focused on my revenge?” I am going mad with anger.

”Yes! You are pathetic! Just like humans are pathetic! If I were you, I would have exterminated humanity myself! Destroyed everything, but you let humans live to become demons! That’s so pathetic hahahaha!”

”...I’m going to kill you...”

”What did you say?” She makes a confused face.

”I’m going to kill you. Yes, I don’t need any of you anymore. So many millennia of having my body abused by that tentacle bitch gave me a lot of good information...”

”And my feeble time here in the abyss showed me the pathetic reality I was in, and this, this is also your fault!” I say, pointing at her.

”...” She smiles maliciously.

”And how could you supposedly kill me? I’m a mental projection of yourself. I don’t die...”

”[Doom: Spiritual Sacrifice = I sacrifice any piece, remnant, feeling, fragment, or thing that ties me to humanity, in exchange for the ability and power to kill Pandora Yandere and harm her]” I use my magic, this time focused on a soul sacrifice.

”...” Tiny Pandora begins to glow red. Her body starts to crack, and I finally understand—she is what kept me close to humanity still.

(W-Wait!! I-I don’t want to disappear!! P-Pandora!) She begins to cry, her legs shattering into pieces like glass and vanishing into a red and black mist. Soon, Tiny Pandora’s entire body vanishes into nothingness.

”...” Pandora Yandere looks at me, and for a moment, I see fear.

”I... I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!” I run, jumping on top of her and slamming her to the ground. She’s confused, but I punch her face so hard it breaks her nose. Blood flows, and when she notices the blood, her face twists in fear.

”Y-You crazy woman!! What the hell did you do!! GHAAAHHH” She screams when I grab her arm and pull, biting it and tearing off a piece. She tries to push me away, but I punch her in the face.

”This is what you deserve for trying to steal my place!! Didn’t you say I was too human?! WHERE IS THAT HUMANITY NOW?!” I tear her flesh away, devouring it while throwing punch after punch at her face.

”COME ON, YOU BITCH!! FIGHT ME! LET’S SEE WHO DIES!!” She pushes off with her tail, lunging forward. She quickly grabs me, and we start rolling through the darkness, hitting each other with punches.

”Y-You’ve gone insane!!?” She says, grabbing my throat and squeezing. I finish completely tearing the flesh from her arm, leaving her with only one arm. I kick her in the womb, pushing her back.

”W-Wait!!” She tries to stop me, but I jump on her and drive my fist through her chest, tearing out her heart. She pierces my ribs with her tail, puncturing my lung.

”WAIT?! I’M NOT GOING TO WAIT! I’M TIRED OF BEING PATIENT!” I start throwing punch after punch at her face. She, realizing it’s serious, finally reacts by biting me, but not caring about the costs of this, I twist my arm, breaking her jaw.

”You wanted to replace me!!? THEN FIGHT BETTER THAN ME AND KILL ME! I AM PANDORA! I AM THE BEST OF ALL OF YOU, TRASH!” I bite her jaw and pull, tearing it off like a wild animal.

She, who never really had to fight, can’t handle all my animalistic savagery, all the hatred I accumulated in the abyss being unleashed against her.

”Ghaaamm!! Hammm!!!” She tries to say something, but I gouge out her eyes with my fingers. I begin to bite her and tear off pieces of her, devouring her alive. One of us will cease to exist forever today.

And it won’t be me! I’m tired. I’m fed up with being so patient with those who cause me problems! I spent years watching her trying to consume my mind. She consumed Monster Pandora, she tortured Tiny Pandora, and now she tried to steal my place.

There is no forgiveness, no second chances for this. So I didn’t mind sacrificing Tiny Pandora to kill Pandora Yandere. I finally understand that I don’t need these parasites anymore. I am the only Pandora.

”ARE YOU ENJOYING THIS, BITCH?! HAHAHAHAHA! THIS IS HOW THE TRUE PANDORA ACTS!”

”I AM THE ONLY ONE!!! I AM PANDORA! AND NOT YOU, TRASH!” I continue devouring pieces of her while she stops being able to move, even though she tries.

”AFTER I KILL YOU, I’LL KILL THAT TENTACLE BITCH, AND I’LL KILL EVERYTHING I FIND IN THE ABYSS TOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA” I enter some kind of mad frenzy.

The vivid feeling of finally being the only one, of being the strongest Pandora, of being the existence I always could be. By devouring Pandora Yandere’s body, I’m also consuming Monster Pandora’s body.

And since Tiny Pandora was consumed by the element [Doom], I end up finally becoming complete. Finally, I am the one and only true Pandora.

”...Haaa... Haaa...” When I finish completely devouring Pandora Yandere, the darkness recedes. The entire sea of consciousness loses its slimy darkness, becoming pure white.

I am the only thing with black traces. I look at my wounds; all the blood flowing from them is now black instead of red.

”I... I am Pandora... Yes... finally... peace... finally I am the only one... finally my body is mine alone... finally I am body, mind, and soul complete...” I smile, a demonically wide smile.

”Now... let’s see what my true form is like?! Let’s see how sweet Mnemosyne’s screams of despair will be HAHAHAHAHAHAHA” I begin to take over the body again, erasing the False Pandora that was supposed to temporarily replace me.

But not just taking over. I begin to release my true form. Now that I am the only Pandora, I finally fully understand how my body is supposed to function.

”Let’s play a fun game, Mnemosyne. Let’s see who destroys the other first! HihihihihiHAHAHAHAHAHA I’LL SHOW YOU WHAT I, THE GODDESS OF THE APOCALYPSE, CAN DO” I can’t stop laughing maniacally with so much euphoria. The Doom element makes me slightly hallucinatory whenever I sacrifice something to it.

Doom doesn’t collect something for itself. Doom literally destroys both—it destroys what I choose and destroys what I sacrificed to it. It is not an element that collects donations; it is an element that destroys what is given to it, completely erasing that thing.
