The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 28: Going to an S-Rank Dungeon

Itʼs been 1 month since I started my training as well as my classes about the human world, now Iʼm a master swordsman who has practically reached perfection in the Kunst des Fechtens style.

Iʼve had several conversations about how my trip to the kingdom will be, basically Iʼll use various accessories that are items, these items will hide any non-human part of my body as well as hide my demon aura.

I also found out that Iʼll have to go to a damn academy, my school experiences arenʼt the best so I hated the idea, but unfortunately the heroes are in this academy so Iʼll have to participate if I want to get close to them.

However, if Iʼm going to participate in this academy, at least Iʼll steal everything I can steal without being discovered. I found out that demons have been erasing human records for millennia.

When Freya told me this, I burst out laughing, demons simply eliminate important records and humans donʼt even notice, the number of important things that have been erased from human history is uncountable and the best part of all, all these records are with the demons.

Tactics, weapons, magic, military and political knowledge. There are so many topics that Iʼm surprised.

Unfortunately, during this month I didnʼt get in touch with Elena, at first I thought she was avoiding me, but I found out that she has an important job at the castle, and the fact that I had kept her imprisoned delayed her work a lot.

So she was forced to stay in the office for a long time trying to fix the countless administrative problems that arose, during this time I didnʼt want to bother her so all I did was observe her location through the mark I left.

The date of my departure for the human kingdom has also been decided, I will leave after my negotiation with the dragon tribe that will visit us in a few days.

I found out that the name of the tribe is Silverleaf, which is the last name of the chief, and I also found out that the chiefʼs daughterʼs name is Zephyra Silverleaf, she is a dragon girl with pink hair and red eyes.

Apparently the pink color of her hair is due to her ability to make a chosen target fall in love.

Well, I donʼt think sheʼs so relevant anyway, weʼll only see each other a few times during the negotiations, so I just got the information I thought was necessary to maintain my noble posture.

Now Iʼm going to an S-Rank dungeon, this is my final test to complete my fencing training.

I arrive at the arena where Thalor is waiting. When I see him, my first feeling is...

ʼI want to beat him up...ʼ This damn guy beat me up in every possible way during the training, Iʼve never seen such a strict instructor. The worst was when I almost ruined the fencing technique.

I tried to change the forms to better suit me, and as soon as I showed it to Thalor, he tied me up and hung me upside down on the arena wall and started beating me with a sword for 5 straight hours.

Later, I found out that what I did reduced the power of fencing by 80%, Thalor said that bad habits are hard to get rid of, so I should avoid creating problematic habits like that, he said I should follow the original posture unless there is a better one.

And now that Iʼm a master in this fencing, I realize the foolishness I had done, although Iʼm slightly grateful that he prevented me from committing such a barbaric act with fencing, the hatred is still greater.

”Are you ready, your Majesty?” Thalor says as he opens a portal.

”Yes, yes, letʼs go.” Now that my fencing training is over, I wonʼt call him Commander anymore, in the end this is just a test for me.

”Your Majesty, I will take away any item you have, inside the dungeon you must find the items.”

”Of course.” I already imagined that he wouldnʼt let me use a sword, I guess it wonʼt be that difficult to find a sword in a dungeon, besides, I have magic, if I need to, Iʼll just make a sword myself.

Soon I enter the portal, my first reaction to seeing a dungeon couldnʼt be different.

”YOU SON OF A BITCH, IʼM GOING TO KILL YOU!” Thalor literally took everything, even my clothes, he threw me into a dungeon completely naked.

I soon calm down, I canʼt believe Thalorʼs audacity. I start walking through the corridors.

”And more peaceful...never mind...” When I thought it was peaceful, an arrow appears near my eye, which I catch by reflex, the speed of the arrow created a huge wind, I deduce that this arrow traveled the initial distance at the speed of sound.

”Even something like that didnʼt hurt me...” I held it without any problems. I start wandering around, activating a lot of traps, but none of them hurt me, I initially find it strange that my instincts donʼt warn me about it, until I notice that none of these traps can hurt me even if they hit.

ʼSo weak attacks donʼt activate my instinct? I donʼt know if thatʼs good or bad.ʼ

”I thought it would be more difficult, is this really Rank S?” Suddenly a monster appears to make me shut up. The monster seems to be a mix of octopus and lion, and its tentacle opened a hole in my arm when I tried to defend.

The attack went through my palm and straight to my elbow. Soon the thing pulls the tentacle back.

”Damn...I really underestimated this dungeon.” I assume the fencing stance while using my good arm as if it were a sword.

I advance quickly, attacking with Zornhau, my powerful diagonal strike, and hope it does something, the thing jumps to the ceiling and clings to it, evading my attack.

Soon it makes 3 tentacles try to hit me. I use Abnehmen to retreat while using dark magic.

”[Dark Lance]” The monster falls from the ceiling to the ground and starts running towards me, if I had a sword I could split it in two, but with just my arm as a weapon itʼs not possible without magic.

I know I can make a sword, but that would take away part of the purpose of exploring the place in search of a sword.

[Shadow Sculpture]

I make a wall, soon the wall suffers the impact of the monsterʼs charge.

”[Black Prison]” I use the chains right after destroying the wall, immobilizing the monster, I jump on the wall to the left and jump to the other one while avoiding the attacks with the tentacles, soon Iʼm on the side of the monster, I propel myself using the wall and decapitate the monster using Scheitelhau, vertically decapitating the monsterʼs head.

”It wasnʼt that difficult...but it wasnʼt easy either...” I donʼt know the best way to use fencing and magic, this lack of experience is truly problematic.

I go back to walking the path, I find several of these monsters, but Iʼm not in the mood to try using fencing without a sword, so I kill them all using Shadow Sculpture, making the walls, floor and ceiling covered in large thorns.

Soon I reach a room where there is the same monster, but about 3 times the size, itʼs lying on a pile of treasure.

Soon I hear a buzzing sound and by instinct I use Winden to redirect an attack that made a deep cut in my arm.

”F-Fast” I start running, standing still against a fast enemy and asking to be hit. Several tentacle attacks start happening, destroying the area Iʼm moving through.

I start observing the attack pattern while trying to find a sword in the pile of treasure.

”...” I dodge with some difficulty, the speed is very high, fortunately the buzzing sound of the air being cut helps to know where the attack is coming from.

”There” I see a sword near the monsterʼs leg, I take advantage of one of the attacks to get closer, climb on top of the tentacle and jump between the outstretched tentacles, approaching quickly.

I manage to grab the sword and retreat, assuming the initial stance.

My aura changes completely, having a sword automatically made me a great threat, the monster perceives this change and stands up, now keeping attention on me.

We stare at each other, it takes the initiative, gathering 3 tentacles and sending them in a straight line, a frontal attack that I decide to respond with an attack of equal measure.

I use Zornhau to attack, our attacks collide, me cutting the monsterʼs tentacles in two, but in an instant itʼs in front of me with its claws near my face.

”!!!” I use Hängen to block with difficulty, Iʼm thrown against the wall due to the force, being thrown more than 20 meters from the initial location.

I regain my posture and start defending several attacks with the tentacle.

ʼHow did he do that? Heʼs fast but not to the point that I canʼt keep up.ʼ Soon he appears in front of me again, I use my tail to propel myself up while seeing the attack cutting the area where I was.

He hits me with the tentacle, throwing me to the other side, I use my feet on the wall to stop the impact and fall to the ground, assuming the stance again.

He goes back to the tentacle attacks, this time I deliberately leave the defense low to attract him and focus on the monsterʼs legs, I need to see how he does that. He soon reappears in front of me, but I dodge easily, repeating the movement he did.

The monster is surprised when I disappeared and appeared a little further away.

”Hahaha, of course it would be something like that.” I didnʼt feel any magic in this movement, so it could only be an ability or something physical, I realized that he literally kicks the ground, propelling himself with physical strength.

I simply did the same, kicking the ground and propelling myself like him, of course my untrained movement broke the ground while his doesnʼt make a sound, but I think the result is acceptable.

”ROOOAAAARRWRWW” He lets out a roar, while thunders start to be generated in front of his mouth, a sphere of lightning begins to be created.

”...Two can play this game.” I start using magic, up until now Iʼve only fought using just my normal physical strength, but if he wants a magical combat, so be it.

I use magic to give my body its true strength, I assume the stance and prepare the attack, I wait for his attack to be launched, Iʼll show who the predator is and who the prey is for this ugly octopus-lion.

He launches the sphere.

”Slow...too slow.” My speed with magic is now very high and the fast attacks from before are now just slow.

I kick the ground to propel myself forward while cutting the sphere and his body in two with Zornhau, his body split in two falls to the ground while Iʼm bathed in his blood.

”This is just the first floor...” It wasnʼt as easy as I expected, I expected to use magic on my body only on the fifth floor. I decide to walk to the next floor, I have no way to carry the treasure with me, but I know Thalor will probably get it.
