The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 9: Hunt

While Iʼm eating my meal, Elena explains that tomorrow she will take me to a small human village so I can hunt something that can run. Apparently, sheʼs going to set up a barrier and see how long it takes me to eliminate the thousand humans in the village.

”Hmm, the food is always delicious. I donʼt know who the cook is, but they deserve a round of applause.”

After finishing dinner, I go take a bath to sleep. After the first day, I always wash my tail and angelic halo by myself, as Iʼve realized these two parts are extremely sensitive and I donʼt want Elena touching them because it makes me make strange sounds.

”Your Majesty, howʼs the water?”

”Perfect...” She scrubs and cleans my body perfectly. After these days of going through this, Iʼve already gotten used to her bathing me.

”Elena... I can understand why my tail is sensitive, but why is my angelic halo also sensitive?” The sensation of touching it is as sensitive as my tail. Itʼs like a living extension of my body.

”Those parts of Your Majestyʼs body are sensitive because large amounts of mana circulate through them, so they developed to be sensitive to stimuli in order to more easily capture and transmit mana.”

”So I can use magic... with my tail?”

”Not necessarily, but Your Majesty can store large amounts of mana in those two parts, so when you use that accumulated mana, you can cast more powerful spells.”

”I see...”

ʼItʼs like a battery.ʼ I start washing my tail and angelic halo, still a bit difficult not to let out moans from the sensation. My tail is so soft and causes such a pleasant feeling that I want to keep caressing it. Every time Iʼve washed my tail, Iʼve ended up rubbing it for a while, the sensation is so good.

”Hmm.”

”If Your Majesty is having troubles with your lust, I can help,” Elena says in a sensual voice as she sees me touching my tail.

”...How do you mean, troubles with... lust?” I ask with doubt.

”Well... Your Majesty is masturbating in front of me, so I thought you might... be having trouble restraining yourself.”

”Iʼm... what?”

ʼHow am I masturbating... Iʼm just touching my tail...ʼ

”Elena... what kind of... zone is my tail for my body?”

”Your Majestyʼs tail primarily serves to accumulate magic... but its other use would be as an erogenous zone for Your Majestyʼs body.”

When she says this, I take my hands off my tail and start looking at my hands.

ʼI was... masturbating in front of Elena all this time...ʼ The realization leaves me blushing all over, I canʼt believe Iʼve done something so embarrassing without even knowing.

Now it makes total sense why my tail is so soft and pleasurable to touch.

”You could have warned me before...” I whisper to Elena, who saw me doing this and didnʼt say anything.

”...I thought Your Majesty knew what you were doing, you seemed to enjoy touching your tail...”

”Please, letʼs change the subject...” The more she talks, the more embarrassed I get. She changes the subject, talking about tomorrow while she rubs soap on my head, her breasts touching my back. Theyʼre soft too.

ʼI wonder what they taste like...ʼ I canʼt say in what sense Iʼd like to try Elenaʼs body, she seems delicious in every way.

”Tomorrow, Your Majesty can use your magic, but avoid using area-of-effect spells like the one you used on your targets that day. And donʼt worry about your safety, there are no strong humans in that village, and all the maids will be on standby to help if needed.”

”Do you think Iʼll do well? How long do you think I can ʼcleanʼ the village?”

”I think in less than 1 hour, Your Majesty is quite fast.”

”I-If I finish in less than 30 minutes... can I ask for a reward?” I know I can ask for anything and sheʼll do it, but she understands the meaning behind asking for this itʼs a sense of having earned it.

I want her to give me something not because itʼs an order, but because I deserve it.

”If Your Majesty can do it in that time, I promise Iʼll give you a reward.”

She finishes bathing me and I go to sleep, Iʼm very excited for tomorrow. Using magic doesnʼt seem too difficult, I think my passive abilities help a lot in that area, as well as my monstrous amount of mana.

After a great nightʼs sleep in a soft bed and a luxurious room, I wake up and go for breakfast. My diet is practically entirely carnivorous.

”Elena, canʼt I eat other things?” So far, although Iʼve had many different dishes, theyʼve all been made of human parts, even the drink is blood. Iʼd like something different.

”Of course Your Majesty can eat something different, but since Your Majesty still has your ʼHungerʼ problem, we decided to make dishes with a higher nutritional rate for Your Majestyʼs race.”

”However, Your Majesty can eat other things, although you should still maintain this controlled meat diet for now. So I recommend Your Majesty have something different for dessert.”

”Then I want a cake,” I say to her as I go back to eating. On Earth, I only ate instant food or cafeteria food, so I couldnʼt eat desserts.

”Understood, Your Majesty,” Elena says as she leaves and goes somewhere.

After a while, she comes back with a large cake.

”This is a cake, a strawberry cake, with chocolate sauce, vanilla, sweetened whipped cream with a touch of honey and lemon to harmonize with the sweet taste of the cake.”

”Thank you...” I have no idea what flavor to expect, but Iʼm already excited. She cuts a slice and puts it on a plate.

I take a spoonful and put it in my mouth.

”Hmm.” The flavor is wonderful, my tail wags in excitement at the taste. I open a smile as I savor each bite, Elena seems excited that Iʼve enjoyed it.

Although itʼs still not better than people, itʼs very delicious, as it has a different taste.

After finishing, Elena takes me to a room to prepare me for the hunt.

ʼI have to learn to control myself soon, I want to go to the castle...ʼ I want to find those ”Heroes”, I want to see how theyʼre doing and how strong they are.

”Weʼll teleport to the village in 10 seconds, Your Majesty. The maids have already raised the barrier, so no one can escape.”

I wait excitedly as a magic circle glows on the floor. In an instant, weʼre in another place the scene is a road, weʼre in front of the entrance leading to a small walled village, with wooden barricades.

”As soon as I turn this 30-minute hourglass, Your Majesty can begin.”

”Hmm.” I take a deep breath to prepare myself. As soon as she turns the hourglass, I advance into the village.

”Shadow Sculptures, surround the village and begin a siege, going to the center of the village.” I summon hundreds of wolves to surround the village, forcing the humans to go to the center, saving me time from searching individually.

I summon a large black wolf along with the smaller ones, using it as a mount.

ʼ...Itʼs slow...ʼ The large wolf is much slower than me. I donʼt know how strong my wolves are, but they should be able to force the humans not to fight, since there are hundreds of them.

I soon get off the large wolf and send it to help the smaller ones, it doesnʼt make sense to ride a mount slower than me.

I start running through the village. Finally, people start coming out of the houses in despair as they hear the sounds of the wolves and the cries of the people. Itʼs between dawn and the beginning of the day, so most were still at home.

”Who are you, stop now or...” A soldier appears in front of me, but I explode his head with a punch, brain matter and blood fly as the blood spurts, wetting the ground.

”I see... theyʼre much weaker than I thought...” A punch like that was held back by Elena.

”Get those damn things!”

”There are more Wolves here!”

”T-Theyʼre surrounding us!”

I start to hear voices with my keen hearing, I follow to try to eliminate them. I see a group of 10 guards.

”Shadow Dance.” The first time I use this, but I easily enter my own shadow and emerge from the shadow of a soldier.

”W-What...” His head explodes with my punch. I reduced the force, but even so it still exploded, the blood soiling his 9 companions.

”M-Monster, kill that thing!”

ʼDo I really need to say the name to use an ability?ʼ Abilities are different from spells, spells mostly need to be spoken, but abilities are different. I try to use an ability without saying anything.

[Shadow Sculptures]

It works even without saying anything, several black thorns came out of the shadows, killing 7 of the soldiers and leaving only 2 of them, their bodies impaled by the thorns while the blood flies, a little fell on me, but the other two soldiers are much dirtier.

”Y-You Aberration DIE!” One of the remaining soldiers strikes with an ax, I block with my hand and pierce his heart, then split him in two with my tail, on the ground I see his organs oozing.

”...”

ʼHe didnʼt even scratch it...ʼ Elena says theyʼre weak, but her hand went through my body from one side to the other, while an ax blow didnʼt even scratch me.

I start to see a strange aura around the last soldier, who is lying on the ground crying.

”P-Please donʼt kill me, I have a wife and children, please have mercy.”

ʼWhat is this aura...ʼ While Iʼm thinking about what this aura around him is, I hear screams all over the village, my wolves are killing everyone while decreasing the space.

The aura around this soldier is a kind of purple-gray color, itʼs around his body.

”Fear...” I associate this aura with my passive ability to see emotions as colors.

ʼI want to test it...ʼ I let my wolves reduce the numbers while I go test this passive on this guy.

”You want to live,” I ask him, my beautiful voice doesnʼt match the bloody scene at my feet at all, he speaks desperately.

”Y-Yes, please have mercy.”

”...” His color varies when I mention letting him live, I cut off one of his arms. He screams as he drags himself to flee.

”ARRGHH SOMEONE HELP ME!” His color changes again, becoming a more vivid purple.

ʼIt really does seem to be related to the fear heʼs feeling...ʼ I donʼt want to waste more time on this, so I rip off his head and go back to hunting people. I start running quickly, tearing apart everything I encounter along the way, be it animals, people or structures.

Itʼs as if a small tornado had passed, I stop for a moment and look back.

Thereʼs a path cleared by force, everything that was in front of me is gone, dismembered bodies and body parts are everywhere, forming a kind of river of blood.

The sight and smell sharpen my senses, seeing this bloody vision only whets my appetite, itʼs bizarre how my mind has changed with the change of race. This vision that would be repulsive to many seems beautiful and delicious to me.

Screams echo throughout the village, I start walking calmly, seeing the chaos Iʼve created. Several houses are on fire as wolves run around, there are many unrecognizable bodies, probably people caught by the large wolf since I donʼt see how the smaller ones could do that.

I see the large wolf chewing on a body.

”Heʼs... eating?” I donʼt know how the Shadow Sculptures work, I donʼt know if these things are really alive or just simulating the act of a living being.

”Well, it doesnʼt matter, I guess. 10 minutes have passed, I only killed 97 people... my wolves eliminated 853, there are 50 people left.”

If I had to kill using just physical strength, would it take longer or shorter? If I ran at full speed without wasting time, would it be faster than with the wolves?

I have no way of knowing. I start sniffing the scent of people, the smell of blood is everywhere, but my sense of smell easily distinguishes between the different scents. I start hunting them one by one, while my wolves search houses and rummage through everything.

I searched calmly, after all I still had 20 minutes, and after 5 minutes I managed to eliminate all those who were hiding, finishing with 15 minutes to spare.

”I wonder what to ask Elena for as a reward...” Soon Elena appears near me.

”Congratulations, Your Majesty, your strategy was excellent. With it, Your Majesty accomplished it in 1/4 of the time I initially said.”

”Of course it was... now Iʼve earned a reward... right?”

”Yes, Your Majesty, I will grant one request as a reward.”

”Then letʼs go back to the mansion, Iʼll tell you there what I want,” I say as I teleport with Elena back to the mansion to get my reward.
