Stronger by Paying Salaries and I Have 1 Billion Employees

Chapter 28: Chapter 27: This Car Costs 800,000, Do You Dare Touch It?

After waving goodbye to Song Yuncheng, Chen Yansen led Wang Zihao on a stroll around the school, familiarizing themselves with the environment and walking off their meal.

”She said she has a boyfriend. Are you still planning to go after her?”

Wang Zihao frowned, reminding him cautiously.

”You believe her just because she said so? Besides, why should I be the one chasing her, and not the other way around?”

”Fragrant flowers attract butterflies, and a tall phoenix tree attracts a phoenix. As long as you’re outstanding enough, when a girl decides to take the initiative, her drive will be beyond your imagination.”

Chen Yansen looked up at him and thought, ’Man, no wonder you were scammed out of half your family’s fortune in our last life, and even your son wasn’t your own. With judgment like this, you’re really something else.’

Wang Zihao was slightly taken aback. He felt that Chen Yansen’s words were incredibly arrogant, and a flash of envy couldn’t help but cross his eyes.

”Don’t worry. As long as your dad here has a bite to eat, you’ll have a sip to drink.”

Chen Yansen patted his shoulder, comforting him in a heartfelt tone.

”Get outta here!”

Wang Zihao’s face darkened as he made a mock punch, but inside, his heart felt warm.

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ—

The phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated. Chen Yansen pulled it out and saw the caller ID was Gu Wenwen from the telecom company. After he answered, she asked him to come to the on-campus service hall to discuss the plan for tomorrow’s campus card event.

Chen Yansen readily agreed. After hanging up, he told Wang Zihao to get in the car, and they sped toward the service hall.

The few-hundred-meter journey passed in the blink of an eye.

Just as the two of them opened their doors and got out of the car, they saw several well-built guys surrounding them. The leader glanced at the car first, a flicker of apprehension in his heart. But with his brothers all around, he had to save face and force himself to ask, ”Are you the two who don’t know the rules and stole our campus agent spot?”

”What about it? Got a problem?”

The moment Chen Yansen heard this, he immediately guessed their identities. He raised an eyebrow and asked with a slight smile.

All this talk about rules—he wasn’t about to put up with their crap.

They were just relying on a little influence among the students. Did they really think they were some kind of wannabe gangsters?

”Damn it! Brother Zhou, let’s fuck him up!”

Seeing how cocky Chen Yansen was, showing them no respect at all, a hothead in the crowd instantly flew into a rage. He pulled a pair of nunchucks from behind his back and roared viciously.

”Whoa! So scary! I’m actually a little afraid!”

Chen Yansen’s tone was full of ridicule. Not a hint of fear could be seen on his face; instead, he continued to provoke them.

”Friend, we’re all students at Xucheng Academy. You two are new here, and the first thing you do is snatch the main campus agency we’ve held for two years. You took the whole pot and didn’t even leave us a sip of soup. Isn’t that going a little too far?”

Zhou Ze Kai stretched out an arm, stopping his eager companion, and spoke unhurriedly.

”How about this: you guys work with me. For every card sold, I’ll give you a 50 yuan commission.”

Handling this group of eighteen or nineteen-year-old, inexperienced youths was child’s play for Chen Yansen. With just a couple of casual sentences, he made them show signs of hesitation.

Among this group, besides Zhou Ze Kai, the rest were all secondary agents. Their commission for selling cards was already 50 yuan per card.

This way, the only one whose interests were harmed was Zhou Ze Kai, the main campus agent.

”What about me?”

Zhou Ze Kai immediately sensed the atmosphere turn sour. His heart dropped as he hurriedly pressed the question.

”You also get 50 yuan per card.”

Chen Yansen chuckled and replied casually.

He looked down on Zhou Ze Kai from the bottom of his heart. The guy had been using his status as the main campus agent to not sell a single card himself, instead just skimming off the top and effortlessly earning forty to fifty thousand yuan a year.

But all those campus cards were sold by the secondary and tertiary agents, who braved temperatures over thirty degrees Celsius to pick up and drop off underclassmen, trip after trip, to earn it.

”Fuck! You guys stick with me, and I’ll give you a 50 yuan commission too!”

Zhou Ze Kai’s eyes were red as he retorted, refusing to show weakness.

”Do you have the agency rights? Can you even get the campus cards?”

Chen Yansen asked, hitting him where it hurt.

With over a thousand card applications, he had successfully bypassed the regional agent and replaced Zhou Ze Kai, which was the main reason for the other man’s fury.

His words were like a heavy hammer, snapping Zhou Ze Kai’s classmates to their senses.

’That’s right. Now that Brother Zhou has lost his main campus agent status, the telecom staff at the school won’t give him any SIM cards at all. If they keep following Zhou Ze Kai, they won’t even be qualified to sell cards.’

”Friends who want to sell cards, leave your contact info. Those who want to fight me, please form an orderly queue. Take a look at this car—a Mercedes E300, 798,000 yuan on the road! Smash a window or scratch the paint, and the damages will be at least 8,000 yuan. If I’m not in a forgiving mood, you’re looking at up to three years in prison.”

Seeing them all silent, Chen Yansen sneered and leaned against the car as he spoke.

Hearing this, the crowd couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath.

They recognized the big Benz, but they had assumed that since Chen Yansen was a student like them, he’d be driving a base model at best. They never expected that his car was worth several houses.

They couldn’t help but feel secretly relieved that they hadn’t acted impulsively just now, or they would have been in huge trouble.

Some even subconsciously backed away, terrified of scratching the car.

”Are you really willing to give us a commission of 50 yuan per card?”

After a moment of silence, a tall, skinny boy wearing glasses was the first to break the stalemate.

”Li Hui, Brother Zhou has been good to you. How could you be the first to betray him?”

The hothead with the nunchucks stared at Li Hui in disbelief.

”Zheng Xinyang, stop your fucking high-and-mighty act! Zhou Ze Kai was good to me? That’s because I sold the most cards! He was skimming 20 yuan off the top for every card I sold. He made a killing off me.”

Li Hui roared, his eyes wide.

”I... I also want to work with you guys.”

Another person from the crowd stepped out and quietly walked over to Li Hui’s side.

Then, like a domino effect, within just three minutes, the only person left by Zhou Ze Kai’s side was the hothead, Zheng Xinyang. Everyone else was crowded around Wang Zihao, busy adding contact info and joining the QQ group.

”You guys have gone too far!”

Zheng Xinyang, looking like a complete fool, kept cursing under his breath. But he didn’t dare raise his nunchucks to hit Chen Yansen’s head or his car.

In the end, even Zhou Ze Kai couldn’t stand it anymore. He hurriedly dragged him away, and they scurried off dejectedly.

CLAP CLAP CLAP—

”Truly the talent that President Zhao values. In just a few words, you had Zhou Ze Kai completely under your thumb.”

Just then, a woman in her thirties, still graceful and charming, wearing a light gray suit, walked out of the service hall with Gu Wenwen. She praised Chen Yansen without reservation.

”Chen Yansen, this is Meng Yaqin, the regional manager for Xucheng Academy. You two should get acquainted.”

Gu Wenwen made the introduction.

”Sister Meng, a pleasure to meet you!”

Chen Yansen’s words were sweet, and his actions were just as smooth. He gently took her hand, releasing it the moment they touched, handling the gesture with perfect propriety.

At the same time, a thought surfaced in his mind: ’For Zhou Ze Kai to have found him so precisely, this woman was most likely the one who leaked the information.’

”It’s hot out here. Let’s go inside to talk.”

Meng Yaqin smiled and suggested.

Chen Yansen, of course, had no objection. He walked inside, chatting and laughing with the two women. After dealing with Li Hui and his group, Wang Zihao hastily caught up with the three of them.

The on-campus service hall wasn’t very large, only about thirty-something square meters.

On the glass counter to the right, piles upon piles of SIM cards were stacked, clearly the campus cards prepared for tomorrow.

”Fifty cards per box, 2,000 cards here in total. I see you drove here, so you can take them with you now.”

Meng Yaqin said softly, pointing at the pile of SIM cards.

As she spoke, a barely perceptible flash of surprise crossed her eyes. In the past, when the main campus agent got cards from her, they had to pay 30 yuan upfront for each one. The agent’s commission was what remained after that deduction.

But Gu Wenwen had told her that President Zhao had specifically instructed that Chen Yansen didn’t need to pay any fees upfront to collect the SIM cards.

”Alright, Sister Meng.”

Chen Yansen nodded in agreement.

Afterward, following some discussion, the three of them finalized the time, location, promotional materials, posters, and procedural details for the next day’s event. Once all the details were set, Meng Yaqin offered to treat the two to dinner, but Chen Yansen declined.

His reason was that he still had to hold a meeting with his sub-agents that evening, and the SIM cards needed to be distributed to each person to avoid chaos the next day.

Meng Yaqin expressed her understanding and didn’t insist, personally seeing the two of them out.

”Brother Sen, I’ve told the agents. We’ll see them at the basketball court at 7 p.m. tonight.”

From the passenger seat, Wang Zihao put down his phone and said to Chen Yansen.
