CEO's Reborn Wife

Gwendolyn Young didn’t speak, because she truly didn’t know what to say.

Looking at the smile on Jillian Carter’s face, Gwendolyn Young seemed to see her as she was in her teenage years.

Back then, Jillian Carter didn’t have a hint of hostility; people spoiled her a bit, and she had a little temper, but she was still a very likable young girl.

Gwendolyn Young, looking back now, really can’t quite remember how long it’s been since she last saw such a gentle Jillian Carter. Everything feels like it was just yesterday.

Yet it also feels like a lifetime ago.

So close, yet so far.

When leaving Jillian Carter’s ward, Jillian reluctantly clung to Jane Sampson with one hand and Gwendolyn Young with the other, saying goodbye. ”Jane, I know you’re busy with work, but both the Black Family and our Carter Family don’t really need the money you earn from filming. Follow your interests and hobbies, but don’t overwork yourself or push too hard. Take care of your health; Daddy and Mommy finally reunited with you. If you get sick or feel unwell, they would be heartbroken.”

Jillian turned to Gwendolyn Young, advising, ”And you too, Mom, you’re not young anymore, and you still don’t know how to take good care of yourself. If Dad isn’t keeping an eye on you, you just diet and don’t eat properly. You are the most beautiful mom in the world, so it doesn’t matter if you gain a little weight.”

”Oh, and finally, you, Brother, you’re the biggest workaholic! I heard from Sister Mandy Forest that you often work day and night. You, oh you, what am I supposed to say to you! I guess only Sister Mandy Forest can put up with you. If I were your girlfriend, I would have let you and your work live together for a lifetime.” Jillian Carter shook James Carter’s arm, ”Brother, you also need to take care of yourself, work being busy is fine, but you also need to call me often.”

Saying this, Jillian Carter finally showed a hint of sadness, ”After I got married, I quit my job to focus on being at home with the child. Joseph Shaw is busy with work and doesn’t often have time to come back. Every day I’m either taking care of the child or shopping at the mall, it’s so boring. Brother, call me when you can.”

That series of words was almost enough to bring someone who didn’t know to tears.

”Mom, when you see Grandpa and Grandma, say hello to them for me, tell them that when I have time, I’ll take the baby to the countryside to visit them.” After saying that, Jillian Carter waved her hand to everyone, ”You all are busy, and I’m very happy you could come to see me. You guys go now, go back to being busy.”

Only then did Jane Sampson leave the ward with her mom and brother.

As the three of them left, Jillian Carter’s gentle voice could still be heard behind them, softly comforting the doll in her arms.

Back in the doctor’s office, the doctor began analyzing for the three of them.

”Jillian Carter is still gradually constructing and perfecting the world she has woven for herself in her mind. The imagined world she created is completely opposite to her reality.”

The doctor said, ”I’m sure you’ve noticed too; she doesn’t remember that she’s been cut off from the Carter Family, nor does she remember the miscarriage. In her mind, only the world she subconsciously created for herself exists.”

”In the world she created, she’s still the daughter of the Carter Family. Her relationship with Jane Sampson is very good, so good that they are like sisters, so good that you all often go shopping together, so good that there’s nothing you don’t talk about.”
