CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 2120: Chapter 2128: I’ll Stay With You

James Black must be the most clueless man in the world when it comes to comforting people.

When she said it didn’t look good, even Old Master Black would sweet-talk her, saying she always looked the best no matter what.

Jane Sampson thought, if she really wanted to be strict with James Black, even giving him a peace card every day wouldn’t be enough for him, would it?

Because of James Black’s return, breakfast was especially good.

Father Gingery and Brooke Black were in no rush to head to the company on time, leisurely enjoying breakfast, and afterwards, everyone sat in the living room chatting for a while.

After a night of heavy rain, the weather was exceptionally refreshing, and the sky, with the sun out, looked bluer and more beautiful than usual.

With the sunlight and gentle breeze, the courtyard after the rain was filled with the scent of earth.

James Black returned safely. Old Master Black seemed more spirited when walking his dogs, taking four of them out with him.

Aunt was even more joyful, leaving early to buy the freshest vegetables, preparing to cook some of James Black’s favorite dishes.

Jane Sampson was dragged out into the sunlight by James Black. Afraid of being seen, Jane hadn’t stayed in the courtyard for even one second since returning to the Black Family for such a long time.

On a wicker reclining chair, Jane lazily lay there, while James moved a chair to sit next to her, holding his mobile phone, seemingly typing and contacting someone.

In her hand, Jane held a script. With ”The Sound and Shadow” set to resume filming soon, she needed to re-memorize the script quickly.

Yet with James sitting next to her, Jane’s eyes couldn’t help but drift to his face and just stare at him without blinking.

It wasn’t until James glanced at her that she giggled, withdrew her gaze, and continued to look at her script.

”James,” Jane called out to him.

Hearing the deep, low response of ”hmm” from James, she sat up, smiling sweetly, ”If placed in ancient times, I’d definitely be a Tyrant King blinded by beauty, and you, surely a temptress ruining the nation.”

James smirked, putting his mobile phone away into his pocket without even looking at it.

James realized that from the moment he returned last night, Jane hadn’t hidden her longing and affection for him at all.

Or rather, her love.

She liked sticking to him like a particularly well-behaved little kitten.

After saying this, Jane blushed herself, as if admitting how much she adored James.

”Is your mission over? How come I haven’t seen any news of big events? Is it not proper for me to just hang around the courtyard like this now that others might see me?” Jane really wanted to ask, ”When can I leave the house?”

If delayed any further, it wouldn’t be Jane crying first, but the director.

”The news will probably come out in a few days.” James suddenly stood up, picking up Jane from the reclining chair, then taking her place, and putting her on his lap, making it easy for him to hold her.

”Even if people see, it’s fine. I was just discussing with Sister Bell about holding a press conference to clarify that you’re still alive,” James said. ”I’ll drive you to the press reception venue at noon tomorrow.”

”So soon?” Jane was so struck by this news that she forgot to be awkward with James.

Once the press reception is over, it means she will soon return to the film crew for subsequent filming.

But James just came back.

Jane felt a little reluctant to go back so soon.
