Chapter 1549: Chapter 1557 Are You Satisfied Now

By the time Jane Sampson came down to rest, she was already feeling sore and aching. Lucy Brisk supported her and massaged her waist, ”Sister Jane, being an actor is really tough.”

”Mainly because after being lazy during New Year, suddenly jumping into such high-intensity work makes it a bit hard to catch my breath.” Jane Sampson gently shook her head at Lucy Brisk and said, ”I’m fine, just need to sit down, drink some water, and rest a bit. Anyway, I’ve finished filming my scenes for this morning, so I can take a break.”

”Okay, then Sister Jane, let me help you to the makeup room and then make you a cup of lemon tea,” Lucy Brisk said and handed Jane Sampson her mobile phone, ”By the way, Sister Jane, you’ve received a few calls from unknown numbers, no idea who it is. Check them out and see if you want to call back.”

Jane Sampson took the mobile phone. She didn’t have many friends, and the good friends she had knew she was filming today, so she couldn’t think of who the unknown number might be.

Feeling utterly exhausted, Jane Sampson didn’t call back immediately but first returned to the makeup room. After Lucy Brisk brewed her some lemon water, she picked up her mobile phone to take a look.

At this time, Fiery Fanny also knocked at the doorway and then walked in.

”Truly my goddess, I just watched the director’s replay, and your acting was so good.” Fiery Fanny dashed in excitedly, ”I just knew you were the little fox from my script. Adorably cute when you’re playful, and with an air of the Ancient Divine Clan when you’re aloof.”

”Fiery Fanny is not only beautiful but also sweet-talking.” Jane Sampson smiled as she reached out to pinch Fiery Fanny’s cheek.

”I’m just used to speaking the truth. Oh, by the way, how’s your interlude coming along?” Fiery Fanny asked, ”Besides admiring your acting skills and looks, I also appreciate your talent. The song you sang with James Carter on Chinese New Year’s Eve, I downloaded and recorded it on my mobile. Your style that day was simply divine.”

”I’ve started on the interlude, it should be ready soon.” Jane Sampson feigned mystery, ”For now, I won’t sing it to you. I’ll perform the whole song for you once I’ve finished writing it.”

The inspiration for the song came to Jane Sampson before New Year, and she had started writing it then. However, she was dissatisfied with some parts and was still revising them.

She planned to complete the revisions before sending it to James Carter for his polish, and once everything was finalized, she’d share it with the director and the others.

”I’m really looking forward to it,” Fiery Fanny nodded. Just as she was about to speak again, Jane Sampson’s mobile suddenly rang.

Jane Sampson glanced, it was still an unknown number.

But it was a local one from the Capital Province.

So Jane Sampson and Fiery Fanny shared a laugh, and she decided to answer the phone first.

Yet, Jane Sampson didn’t expect this unknown call to be from Julie Sampton.

”Jane Sampson, you finally dared to answer the phone! Jane Sampson, what kind of deep-seated hatred do we have? Why are you pushing me like this? Not helping me is one thing, but why did you expose my pregnancy? Now everyone online is mocking me, are you happy? Are you satisfied?”

Julie Sampton’s voice was somewhat piercing, as if she was roaring with rage at Jane Sampson through the phone.

Fiery Fanny sensibly left Jane Sampson’s makeup room, knowing Jane Sampson had personal matters to handle, and found an excuse to pull Lucy Brisk out as well.

Jane Sampson didn’t notice Fiery Fanny and Lucy Brisk’s actions. She simply frowned, her voice sharp, ”Julie Sampton, if you want to go crazy, don’t come to me. I don’t have time to indulge your madness.”
