CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1486: Chapter 1494: As Long As You Ask, Dad

”So it must be tourism then. Real estate is still in a bubble phase, but only the tourism industry remains an enduring enterprise. Although the initial investment is substantial, once the island gets on track, it’s an industry where you can lie at home and collect money daily.”

Father Sampton’s raised hand slowly lowered as Julie Sampton spoke.

He couldn’t argue; the Sunny Island project was very tempting to him.

Why is the Black Family so wealthy?

Naturally, it’s because the Black Family engages in real industry. Besides the family background accumulated over the years, they also hold several tourism ventures.

Take a scenic spot as an example.

More than a decade ago, the Black Family developed a small island, investing billions, and at that time, many people said the Black Family was crazy.

However, these billions returned within three years of investment.

In the years that followed, the Black Family poured more money into developing the island, perfecting the entire island’s tourism industry, not even mentioning the island’s other store rents, tourist accommodation, transportation, and various other revenues.

Just taking the ticket revenue from one small island alone.

An adult entrance ticket to the island costs 150 yuan, and last year just during one National Day, they received more than 200,000 tourists; just during this Golden Week, merely the ticket revenue from this small island earned the Black Family a fortune.

Moreover, the Black Family’s tourism ventures are not limited to this one island.

”Dad, you know more about business than I do, and you know better than I do how massive the profits from these tourism ventures can be.” Julie Sampson continued seeing Father Sampton was moved, ”As long as I marry David Chip, given that I’m also carrying a child, if Dad you ask, would the Chip Family be stingy about giving Daddy a share?”

”You’re so confident you can marry David Chip?” Father Sampson sneered, ”In this world, as long as David Chip is willing, there are plenty of women eager to have his children. Do you think you’re the only one with a belly?”

Julie Sampson’s heart chilled slightly; as a father, her daddy’s words were quite piercing.

Yet Julie Sampson couldn’t deny that her father was speaking the truth.

”Daddy, just because my brother-in-law is James Black and James Black is the favored grandson of Old Master Black, do you think the Chip Family wouldn’t want to latch onto the Black Family’s big tree?” Julie Sampson said, ”Daddy, as long as you help persuade grandma, let grandma help persuade Jane Sampson and James Black, after I marry into the Chip Family and give birth to the child, Daddy, you won’t need to look at Jane Sampson’s face anymore.”

Seeing that Father Sampton wasn’t speaking anymore, Julie Sampson gently touched her belly, ”Dad, since grandma is angry now, I won’t go and add fuel to the fire. I’ll head home first, and once grandma calms down in a few days, you can help persuade grandma.”

After speaking, Julie Sampson coquettishly held onto Father Sampton’s arm, ”Daddy, I’m begging you, if I can’t marry David Chip, my life will be ruined, it will be finished. Daddy, I’m your biological daughter, please take pity on me. I’m not like Jane Sampson, an ungrateful, untamed white-eyed wolf. I’m your biological daughter, and I’ll always stand by your side, helping you.”

Father Sampton looked up at Julie Sampson, his thoughts in turmoil.

In the end, Father Sampton neither agreed nor disagreed, merely telling Julie Sampson to go home first, and he arranged for the house’s driver to take Julie away. Once she left, he stood at a distance, lost in thought.

A few minutes later, he made a phone call to his assistant, asking him to investigate the Chip Family’s Tomb Sweeping Day Island project in detail, then turned back, returning to Granny Sampton’s side.
