CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1227: Chapter 1235: No Time Yesterday

”Flipping through the same old tricks, can’t you come up with some fresh phrases?” Jane Sampson rolled her eyes at James Black.

This was already the second time James Black had tried the pregnancy ploy on her, and yet, she fell for it every time.

Furious!

James Black raised an eyebrow, his laughter low and resonant.

Jane Sampson really wanted to retort with ”Laugh my ass off,” but after a moment’s thought—to avoid a lecture from him—she decided to let it go and just bear with it.

”Once you’ve brushed your hair, hurry up and pack your things. I’ve arranged for your room to be switched to the suite room at the top of the building. Peter Gingery has already got off the train, and it’s only more than half an hour by taxi from the train station. Once he’s here, you’ll stay in the suite room with him, one room each. Whether you’re going out for filming or staying in the hotel, he’ll be there to protect you at all times.”

After saying that, James Black went to the wardrobe and handed Jane Sampson her clothes, ”It’s a bit chilly today, wear this thicker coat.”

”So soon?” Jane Sampson exclaimed. Then, in a hurry, she tied her hair into a high ponytail and took the clothes James Black had brought to change in the bathroom.

By the time she came out, James Black had already started packing for her. Jane Sampson muttered, ”Why didn’t you tell me sooner that we were changing rooms? I could have started packing yesterday.”

”You weren’t free yesterday.” James Black replied.

Jane Sampson shook her hand that was gripping her pajamas sharply, then looked solemnly at James Black before awkwardly raising her hand to touch her nose tip.

Right, she wasn’t free yesterday.

Negotiating during the daytime, then he took her to eat in the little county town, and afterwards, he ”ate” her.

As if she had the time.

Fortunately, Jane Sampson didn’t have a lot of stuff. Though she was lazy, she usually didn’t throw her belongings around carelessly, so by the time Peter Gingery arrived, Jane Sampson’s things were almost all packed.

James Black helped by making a call to reception, then took Jane Sampson and Peter Gingery straight up to the hotel suite room at the top of the building, all the while admonishing Peter Gingery to keep a close eye on Jane.

After changing rooms, the three of them ordered the hotel’s breakfast to the room. After eating, James Black left.

Having Peter Gingery’s chatter in her ear made saying goodbye to James Black a lot less stressful for Jane Sampson compared to the last time.

After James Black left, Peter Gingery kept laughing and teasing Jane Sampson, acting as if she hated letting go of James Black’s leg, begging him not to leave.

Once the door closed, Jane Sampson grabbed a throw pillow from the sofa and hurled it at Peter Gingery, ”Shut your mouth, nobody thinks you’re mute.”

”Oh haha,” Peter Gingery shrugged, ”Are you filming today? Honestly, when I got the mission to protect you, I was so excited I couldn’t sleep all night. Apart from last time when the ’I’m Not A Celebrity’ program crew came to our guard team, I wouldn’t even know how a show is made. So, do you guys film like last time?”

Jane Sampson sat on the sofa holding her mobile phone, ignoring Peter Gingery as he rambled on by himself.

”Little Jane, do you guys ever break out in laughter during filming? Oh right, who’s the female lead in this drama? Is she pretty? And hey, do you have any kissing scenes in this one?” After speaking, Peter Gingery laughed again, ”I’m asking for nothing, with my brother watching over, how could there possibly be a kissing scene.”

”Can I request someone else to protect me?” Jane Sampson languidly turned to stare at Peter Gingery, ”Is that possible?”

Peter Gingery then made a zipping motion with his mouth, ”I’m just excited, you know?”

For Peter Gingery, this was hardly a mission; it was more like a pleasure trip.
