CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1212: Chapter 1220: Someone Will Handle It

Old Master Black was mostly aware of James Black’s whereabouts; even if he didn’t know temporarily, he could have found out if he truly wanted to investigate.

Thus, if James Black didn’t arrive today and Jane Sampson went back to the hotel and saw the text message, since it would be very late, she would likely directly contact Black Residence or perhaps contact Brooke Black first.

”Not bad,” James Black commended Jane Sampson with appreciation.

Jane Sampson might have seemed inexperienced, but in reality, her methods of handling and solving problems were quite steady.

After all, she had been independent from a young age, and she already had her own set of methods for dealing with and thinking about matters.

”Was this mission very tough? You’ve been gone for quite a long time,” she murmured quietly after speaking, ”It’s been around 20 days, right?”

”Remember that clearly?” James Black said cheerfully as he tousled Jane Sampson’s head. ”Looks like you’ve missed me quite a bit.”

The tone of this last sentence seemed very satisfied.

”Just missed you a little bit,” Jane Sampson pursed her lips and hummed, ”Just a little.”

”Better than nothing,” James Black had already figured out Jane Sampson’s temperament. To admit even a little meant she really missed him a lot.

”Was this mission dangerous? Are you hurt?” Jane Sampson asked with concern while reaching out to touch all over James Black and even started to pull at his clothes, ”If you’re hurt, you have to tell me, don’t just endure it.”

”Let’s go to the bed for an examination,” James Black said as he scooped her up. Jane Sampson took the opportunity to dash off while he was undressing.

Just joking, she had just come back from a drama shoot and hadn’t even taken a bath, she could smell the stench of her costume herself.

But, she might run now, she couldn’t run later.

After showering, Jane Sampson had just stepped out of the bathroom when James Black, who was waiting inside, caught her right there and carried her straight to bed, where he playfully wrestled with her.

After James Black settled down, Jane Sampson felt utterly lazy, curling into his arms and breathing heavily.

She lay drained in James Black’s arms, thinking to herself, this guy must be trying to make up for over twenty days of absence in one night.

”Tomorrow I requested a day off for you from James Chip; I’ll take you to meet with your aunt,” James Black murmured as he kissed Jane Sampson’s forehead.

”What about the text message on the phone?” Jane Sampson asked.

”It will be handled,” James Black soothed, ”Rest early.”

Jane Sampson mhm-ed in response and nodded her head.

Already closing her eyes as if preparing to sleep, she suddenly opened them, looking seriously at James Black, and abruptly asked, ”James Black, don’t you get tired of always being so affectionate with me?”

”Heh,” James Black laughed, not answering Jane Sampson, but rather covering her eyes with his hand, ”Sleep, and don’t ask any more weird questions.”

Weird questions?

Jane Sampson raised her eyebrows, then reached out to wrap her arms around James Black’s waist, and soon drifted into sweet dreams.

After Jane Sampson fell deeply asleep, James Black went to the balcony to make a call to Old Master Black using Jane Sampson’s phone.

It was very late, and Elder Black had already retired. Seeing a call from Jane Sampson, Old Master Black was surprised and wondered why she would call him so late.

Nonetheless, Old Master Black quickly picked up.

Upon hearing James Black’s voice on the other line, Old Master Black asked, ”Why is it you?”
