CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1098: Chapter 1106: I Do Not Allow

His tone was callous as he called out her name, devoid of any familial warmth.

”Have you resigned from the TV station recently, spending your days idling at the Sampton Family’s company, hence failing to understand that your leisure doesn’t mean the whole world is as free as you?” James Black scoffed, ”My wife doesn’t have the luxury to scheme against you; she’s too busy with work. Therefore, do not presume that you can push everything onto her just because she is busy.”

James Black never believed that Julie Sampton’s whereabouts would have been disclosed by Jane Sampson, who had past dealings with the Chip family.

If Jane Sampson had wanted to speak, she could have told Andrew Chip directly back then.

Moreover, James trusted his wife and believed that, most of the time, Jane was kind.

”Also, please relay this to Mr. Sampton and Mrs. Sampton: Jane Sampson is my wife, James Black, so please ask them not to call my wife casually; I will not allow it.” After saying this, James thought for a moment and added something to Julie Sampson on the phone.

”More than two months ago, Andrew Chip and his wife had approached Jane’s company, pressing her for your whereabouts. If Jane had told them, they wouldn’t have waited until recently to find you. Since Andrew Chip knows about Jane, following the trail of information provided by Jane and taking more than two months to find the Sampton Family’s company to look for someone, it’s not surprising they could find you.”

After finishing, James hung up the phone.

James believed he had made himself clear enough; Julie would think for herself as long as she wasn’t foolish.

The fact that Andrew Chip and Jane Sampson had gone to the hospital for a paternity test was known to the Black Family.

Andrew recognized Jane Sampson and knew her surname was Sampton; as long as the Chips weren’t foolish, relying on the information they had from the paternity test to search through all the companies under the Sampson surname in Capital Province to find Julie Sampton was inevitable.

After hanging up the phone, James immediately blocked the numbers of Father Sampton, Mrs. Sampton, and Julie Sampton.

There was less and less need to take calls from these three.

James had received calls from both his own father and Julie Sampton, but he had no intention of informing Jane.

Since he had redirected the calls to himself, he naturally didn’t plan on letting Jane know.

Knowing these troublesome matters would only increase her displeasure.

In Cloud Province, on her first day, Jane had spent some time wandering in the maple forest behind the small pub, but by the next day, everyone in the film crew was bustling about.

The weather in Cloud Province tested one’s willpower more than filming in Capital Province Film City.

Despite the cold weather that made one want to wrap up in a quilt and stay indoors, Jane Sampson had to wear a thin gauze as if it were summer and forcibly maintain a cool and refreshed expression for the camera.

Due to physiological reasons making it hard to control facial expressions, Jane initially experienced several days of continuous NGs when shooting started. If not for her being a major investor, the fiery-tempered Director Chip might have lost his temper much earlier.

It wasn’t until several days later, after gaining some tips from an experienced senior, that Jane gradually found her rhythm and managed not to further delay the progress of the entire film crew by repeatedly causing NGs.
