CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1052: Chapter 1060: I Have Something to Say

James Black had just thought of this when Jane Sampson suddenly walked up behind him, directly reaching out and embracing him from behind.

James Black only needed to lower his head slightly to catch the faint fragrance coming off her body.

It was the scent he liked.

”Are you trying to seduce me?” James Black turned his head to look at the woman behind him, raised an eyebrow, and his gaze fell on her face as she stuck out her tongue and chuckled, making faces at him.

After taking a bath, her cheeks were rosy, and her face didn’t look like it had anything on it, a clear complexion like an egg freshly peeled.

”Not at all,” her voice was soft and coquettish. After speaking, she nudged her face against his back and continued. ”Just giving you a hug, how did that become me trying to seduce you?”

”You...” James Black paused, his tongue resting against his cheek, his hands shifting to remove hers from his waist. He quickly turned around, changing from having his back to her to facing her.

Only after turning around did he pick her hand back up and place it on his waist again.

”I what?” Jane looked at him seriously, puzzled.

James Black drew in a deep breath, pressing her into his embrace with a low and husky voice, ”Are you wearing anything inside, or not?”

She didn’t like wearing underwear to sleep.

So, perhaps she was wearing underpants.

James Black thought that she wouldn’t do something to purposefully seduce him, so she probably wasn’t wearing nothing at all.

Yet Jane blinked, responding to his question with, ”Why don’t you guess?”

”Is there a reward?” James Black scooped her up and walked towards the bed.

”No,” Jane wrapped her arms around James Black’s neck, comfortably swinging her pale long legs in his arms.

”Even if there was, I’d peel it off you later anyway, so it doesn’t make a difference.” James Black voiced with a laugh, pulled back the quilt, and gently placed her down on the bed.

Once Jane lay on the bed, she rolled over and scampered off to the side. Then she stood high upon the bed and said, ”Wait for a moment, I have something to say.”

”Go ahead,” James Black nodded, ”I’m listening.”

But as he said this, he smoothly stripped off his vest, revealing his upper body.

The sight of his abdominal muscles made Jane’s eyes heat up, reminding her of last time when blood had run from her nose in such an embarrassing situation. She forced her gaze away, slowly shifting it towards the window curtain.

”Listen to me first! Don’t you take anything off!” Jane stamped her foot in embarrassment.

James Black then stopped, with an affirming hum, still in his sleeping pants, he simply sat on the edge of the bed, patiently saying, ”Go on.”

Standing high, Jane pursed her lips, her toes curling into the sheet, her gaze slowly moved back from the curtain and rested on James Black’s face.

At that moment, his eyes held a smile, the light above her head falling into his eyes like a splash of starlight, illuminating his eyes bright and profound.

”You...” Jane fiddled with her bathrobe, opening her mouth to speak just one word, but before the rest could come out, her face flushed first.

Her sudden blush granted James Black even more patience as he waited for her next sentence.

”Do you still remember the question you kept asking me these past days?” Jane finally asked James Black.

James nodded, ”I remember.”

However, every time he asked, she always found ways to deflect the conversation.

Sometimes her avoidance was so blunt it challenged him not to expose her.

Thereupon, James Black stopped asking.

Fearing she didn’t want to deceive him but also fearing she was distressed.
