CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 1079: Chapter 1087: Raise Salary

So, Jane Sampson’s identity became clear to Oliver Brownstone.

Although letting Jane go was a pity for Oliver, he didn’t have the guts to keep her in the company now that she wanted to establish her own studio.

He certainly didn’t want to clash with the Black Family over an artist.

And James Black wasn’t unreasonable either. After hearing the message Rock Bell conveyed on James’s behalf, Oliver Brownstone was naturally happy to play the role of the good guy.

That’s why Oliver was able to chat and joke with Jane today like a friend.

The procedures for the termination of the contract were prepared early in the morning, and as soon as the three of them sat down, they signed the papers, exchanged copies of the contract, and officially terminated the agreement.

”Later, you can just have Coco Edwards go to HR to handle the resignation.” Coco Edwards was a favor Oliver Brownstone extended to Jane Sampson.

”Thank you, President Brownstone.” Jane felt genuinely grateful in her heart, and she was surprised at how easily such a big issue as breaking the contract with the company was resolved.

When Rock Bell just now mentioned terminating the contract with the company, Jane had thought it would be difficult.

”No worries, no worries, don’t be so formal with me. After all, if we can collaborate in the future, I won’t be so courteous with your studio,” Oliver Brownstone being a businessman, naturally put interests first, even towards James Black’s wife.

So he spoke very plainly, yet his words were also quite beautiful and pleasant to hear.

Jane immediately guessed the reason for such an easy contract termination, undoubtedly it was James Black, or rather, Rock Bell must have privately promised Oliver Brownstone something.

Leaving Oliver Brownstone’s office, Jane still felt a sense of unreality.

Rock Bell had some handover work to do, so he had to go back to his own office.

In the elevator going down, Jane casually said to Rock Bell, ”I didn’t expect our company’s President Brownstone to be so young.”

”Inheriting the family business,” Rock Bell explained, ”President Brownstone only took over the company less than two years ago, but both father and son of the Brownstone family are quite capable, in terms of character and handling affairs. Looking at it now, Oliver seems even a bit more formidable than his father. No wonder the Old Chairman retired and went home with such peace of mind, entrusting the company to Oliver.”

In Rock Bell’s eyes, Oliver Brownstone was someone who dared to let go and dared to succeed.

Such a person, even if not inheriting the family business, would have made a name for himself had he started from scratch.

Jane didn’t stay long in Rock Bell’s office; she left after a while. In the car, all she heard was Coco Edwards’s excited screaming.

Because Rock Bell told her that from the moment she completed the resignation procedures with the company, she belonged to the studio as an employee.

Although the studio had not officially been established, from the day of her resignation, her salary would increase by 25% over the original base.

”Little Jane, 25%, that means I can eat so much more stuff, when are you going international? If I save this 25% every month, it won’t be long before I can go shopping!” Coco Edwards drove the car, so happy she seemed almost ready to take off.

”I don’t understand,” Jane shrugged and replied to Coco, ”I guess it’ll be after the New Year.”

Jane logged onto Twitter, as Rock Bell had said he would post about her contract termination with the company on Twitter, so she went online to check it out.

It had been more than half an hour since Jane left the company, and sure enough Rock had tweeted it out.
