CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 836: Chapter 844: What’s the Matter with Bright Sampton?

”I know, isn’t it just Julie Sampton using her newly registered alt to post it?” Jane Sampson sneered, ”Dad called me home, what exactly do you want to say?”

Julie Sampton’s expression changed slightly, she hadn’t expected that, just after impulsively posting it for a short time and quickly deleting it, Jane Sampson could be so certain it was her doing.

”You already know?” Father Sampton was also somewhat surprised, ”Did Bright tell you?”

”What does Bright have to do with it?” Jane Sampson shook her head lightly, ”Bright didn’t tell me, it was James Black who had someone check for me. Just on my way home, James Black’s friend said over the phone that the last login address for the Twitter account was traced back to the Sampton family home. So, if it wasn’t Julie, could it have been dad? Or maybe mom?”

”It was your sister Julie.” Father Sampton’s face turned ashen, looking directly at Julie Sampton with a stern face, he roared, ”Look at the stupid thing you’ve done!”

Having said that, Father Sampton then addressed Jane Sampton, ”You were called back so that your sister could apologise to you specifically.”

”Dad, you can skip that apology, I can’t accept it,” Jane Sampson shook her head gently. Why, after someone else hurt her, must she be forced to accept a mere sorry?

Didn’t she even have the right to say she wouldn’t forgive?

”Jane, it’s good for a family to get along in harmony. Throwing a tantrum at home isn’t nice, is it?” Mother Sampton stood up and walked over to Jane Sampson, speaking softly, ”Your sister Julie knows she was wrong, otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken the initiative to delete the Twitter post. Just forgive her for being thoughtless this one time.”

”Mother, I am an orphan girl with unknown parents, I don’t even know when I was born, so it’s impossible to tell whether Julie Sampton is older or younger than me. Moreover, she is always right about everything. So, where does this forgiveness come from?”

Jane Sampson gave a self-deprecating laugh, ”Everything Julie Sampton said is right. I am just an orphan girl with unknown parents, a foster daughter living under someone else’s roof. Every single word she said is true, so she doesn’t need to apologise to me.”

Every single time, ”She’s your sister, forgive her for being thoughtless this one time”—this was what Jane Sampson had been hearing constantly since Julie Sampton came back home.

When she intentionally spilled something on her piano and damaged it, Mother Sampton said the same thing: ”Your sister is young, forgive her for being thoughtless this one time.”

When her completed homework was neatly placed on the tabletop, and Julie tore it up to use as draft paper, Mother Sampton repeated the same phrase, ”Your sister is young, forgive her for being thoughtless this one time.”

When they went to school together and brought their transcripts home, Julie tore up all of Jane’s perfect exams, and Mother Sampton still said, ”Your sister is young and has had a tough life in the past ten-plus years. As the older sister, you should be more forgiving with her academics.”

At thirteen, may be considered young. But what about after more than twenty years? Is she still young?

”Dad and Mom, see, she said it herself, what I said is true, so why should I apologise? I didn’t lie,” Julie Sampton spoke up bravely after hearing Jane Sampson’s words.

”Shut your mouth!” Father Sampton, enraged, yelled at Julie Sampton, ”You fool! All your mother’s spoilage!”

After yelling at Julie Sampton, Father Sampton then walked over to Jane Sampson and looked down at her from a superior position, slowly beginning to speak, ”Jane, no matter what, dad and mom have raised you for many years, provided for your food and clothes. We are all a family, and we’re not asking you to remember the kindness of your parents raising you for so many years. We just hope that you bear in mind that we are a family and should live in harmony in the future.”
