CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 596: Chapter 604: Let Peter Gingery Go

Jane Sampson looked at the gift, her eyes sparkling with delight, ”Ah! It’s exactly the red berries I love! These are delicious with yogurt and milk, have you tried them? They taste even better chilled in yogurt and milk!”

”Really? Sister-in-law, if you like them, that’s great! Tonight, I’ll also try the method you mentioned.” The team member was all smiles, knowing that the key to giving gifts was to win the recipient’s heart.

Seeing Jane take the gift without disdain, carefully accepting it and holding it in her handkerchief with a particularly sweet smile, the team member became even more excited.

”Sister-in-law, we can pick more because these red berries are only available this season, and they won’t be here after this half month. After lunch, we can all go pick some for you! Once you’re done filming your show, we’ll gather a basketful for you to take home and keep in the fridge to enjoy slowly,” another team member chimed in excitedly, ”If you know how to make it, you could also turn it into red berry jam.”

”Oh right, making red berry jam would be great. It would be perfect spread on ice cream or toast, and jam keeps longer without spoiling.” Jane was over the moon, ”But you guys train so hard, wouldn’t it be more tiring to pick them at noon? Let’s not bother; I’ll have Peter Gingery pick some for me.”

At this moment, Peter Gingery, hiding in a corner and enjoying the scene, nearly fell into the ditch next to the building.

Was he a robot?

He wasn’t affected by the heat?

He didn’t get tired at all!

You ungrateful little lass!

”Sister-in-law, it’s not tiring at all, really, just a little thing!” The team members shook their heads and waved their hands in unison.

”Well, thank you all! By the way, if you have glass bottles or any other well-sealed bottles, you can give them to me. Pick a little more, and I’ll make a bottle for each of you, so then you can also taste the red berry jam.” Jane was genuinely happy. She loved strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and all kinds of berries.

Overhearing this, Peter thought he would also pick some for Jane at noon.

The girl might not have many virtues, but her culinary skills were exceptional; everything she made was delicious.

But then, he remembered how she had threatened him on WhatsAPP last night and was just now thinking about making use of him for free. Hehe.

James Black watched as Jane was surrounded by the team members and escorted through the crowd until she disappeared from sight. Peter thought it was time to remind her about a certain man she had forgotten in the back of her mind, who stood rooted to the spot, his face dark as ink.

These dumbfounded team members really had gall, daring to push James Black aside and even asking him to move a bit?

Tsk, tsk, tsk, the sight of the goddess must have excited them to the point of not knowing the meaning of death.

Jane was escorted all the way down to the dormitory building entrance by the team members. Once she reached the door of her dormitory, she suddenly remembered she might have forgotten about someone. And when did she start forgetting about James Black?

It seemed to be down at James Black’s dormitory building?

It seemed to be the case.

Her memory wasn’t very clear.

Jane shook her head; she needed to be a wife with a temper; otherwise, she’d only spoil James Black into taking her for granted.

”Jane Sampson, where were you last night?” Charlotte Miller asked with a strange tone as Jane came through the door, ”I heard you climbed a tree yesterday? Later, it was the Chief who brought yesterday’s instructor with a ladder to get you down from the tree, right? They said, the Chief then kept you back for a one-on-one talk afterward?”
