CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 556: Chapter 564: It’s Not Like I’ve Never Seen It Before

James Black turned his head and glanced at Jane Sampson. Unlike Jane’s panic, he showed not a bit of change in color. His long, slender legs stepped out of the bed, and then, in front of Jane, step by step, he walked into the bathroom.

”James Black, you’re being a hooligan!” Jane Sampson covered her face and stamped her foot!

How had she never realized before that James Black had such thick skin?

So thick that not even a shell could scratch it?

”It’s not like you haven’t seen it before,” James’s voice came from the bathroom, not in a frivolous or teasing tone but rather a serious response.

Wrapped in the quilt, Jane sat back down on the bed, couldn’t help herself, and still rolled her eyes at James, already inside the bathroom.

James took a quick bath and came out after just a while, to see Jane lying down again. Wrapped in a bathrobe, he walked over and patted her shoulder, ”Do you want to take a shower?”

After asking, he directly picked a pair of underpants from the wardrobe and placed them next to her.

Jane turned her head to look and was horrified!

Why were her underpants appearing in James Black’s dormitory!

This pair was kept at home, when did they end up in James Black’s dormitory!

”I grabbed them when I went to get the marriage certificate, your other clothes are in the wardrobe too, but you won’t fit into them these few days,” James explained to Jane.

”So you clearly planned this all along!” Jane held back a long time before not throwing the underpants in her hand onto James’s feignedly serious face.

”Bringing you to the guard team was planned long ago, but that was an accident,” James pointed to the small square box on the bedhead cabinet. It’s just that this accident happened, and his plan didn’t need an extra one of these, that’s all.

However, Jane wasn’t buying it at all.

She snatched up the box from the table and threw it at James in frustration, then quickly ran into the bathroom and slammed the door shut with a bang.

After a short while, the sound of running water began to come out from the bathroom.

Because she got up early and after washing up, Jane also went to the kitchen to make the beef she had scheduled to cook last night. The final step, drizzling chili oil over the fried beef, immediately released a mouthwatering fragrance that made everyone who was up in the building take a deep breath.

”That’s delicious,” someone sighed, ”I wonder who’s wife is so virtuous, getting up early in the morning to make tasty food.”

”It smells like it’s coming from the chief’s dormitory,” someone next to them added.

”How could that be? Everyone knows the chief can only boil noodles,” that person shook their head, ”It must be someone else’s.”

Once the spicy beef was out of the pot, even Jane’s own appetite was aroused. She picked up some with chopsticks, took a bite, and nodded in satisfaction, ”My cooking skills haven’t deteriorated, wonderful.”

Although she only boiled a piece of beef yesterday, making a big plate of spicy beef with it was a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate just by the smell of it.

”I’ll take some to Peter Gingery later,” James thought, if it weren’t too much or going to spoil and unable to be frozen, he really wouldn’t be keen on giving it to that dummy Peter Gingery.

”Okay,” Jane nodded, ”It’s getting late, I’ll be going now. Once it cools down and isn’t hot anymore, remember to put it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.”

”Coming over tonight?” James Black, holding her clothes by the collar, asked Jane to confirm the evening’s plan.
