CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 538: Chapter 546: Lie Down Comfortably

Jane watched James Black’s face before her, blinking her eyes.

So, tonight, was she going to mollify someone with her beauty?

Wasn’t this sacrifice a bit too heavy?

”Lie down,” James ordered, then turned and walked straight out of the bedroom.

As Jane saw James return to the living room, she perked up her ears, listening intently to the noises out there, hearing Gary Black sound like he was searching for something.

Jane stared at the white ceiling, and an image popped into her head.

The Saw movie?

Searching for tools to dismember?

Jane jumped out of bed and stood at the doorway, poking out half her head to peek outside, stretching her head out just enough to see James standing up from in front of the TV cabinet, holding a square box in his hand.

Seeing James coming back, Jane quickly withdrew her head and swiftly jumped back into bed.

When James appeared in the doorway, Jane’s eyes were fixed on the object in his hand.

Oh~ It’s the family medicine kit.

”What were you doing getting out of bed?” James settled at the edge of the bed and patted Jane’s lower leg with his hand, ”Lie down.”

”I didn’t!” Jane refused to admit she had been down, quickly pulling her legs in and then turning her head to look at James with a beaming smile, asking, ”What do you need the medical box for?”

James gave Jane a sidelong glance and pinched her arm hard, ”Don’t your arms and legs feel sore?”

”Ow!” Jane yelled as if a switch had been flipped, ”Let go! Let go!”

How could they not feel sore? Everything was sore, and all she wanted to do while lying in bed was sleep and not move!

How sore were they?

These arms and legs didn’t even feel like they belonged to her!

If it weren’t for Chief Black’s orders, she would have been sound asleep in the dormitory by now!

And the bastard was so heavy-handed!

”Sore? You seemed pretty spry just now,” James remarked.

He opened the medical box and took out a glass bottle, ”Stretch out your hand!”

Jane glanced at the bottle in James’s hand and reached out to touch it, but James sidestepped, leaving her hand hanging. With a giggle, Jane asked, ”What’s that?”

”Sulfuric acid.”

”...”

Could this guy ever talk properly?

That prompted Jane to obediently press her arm down onto James’s thigh, watching as he opened the glass bottle, pouring out its contents into his palm and rubbing them together.

Jane, unable to suppress her curiosity, sat up and leaned towards James’s palm, her nose tip almost touching the back of his hand to sniff, and laughed, ”What kind of medicinal wine is that?”

James looked at the head before him, quietly curving the corner of his mouth, his voice not without a hint of amusement, ”Lie down, keep moving and I’ll rub it on your face.”

Jane responded with an ”Oh,” and lay back down, watching as James spread the mystery medicinal wine over her entire left arm, then began massaging her.

The unknown medicinal wine felt warm on her skin, and combined with James’s kneading, Jane wanted to say just one thing.

Damn, this is comfortable!

Even a visit to the body care shop couldn’t match this heavenly feeling.

”How’s the pressure?” James lowered his gaze to look at Jane, who was squinting with pleasure, and asked.

”Mmm, just right,” Jane spoke, her eyes concealed by her smile, looking just like a little old woman.

She now understood why James said the sofa was too small because she needed to sprawl out, stretching her arms and legs flat. Indeed, the sofa was not spacious enough.

Jane’s face felt a bit hot; she had just thought that someone was going to...
