CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 428: Chapter 436: Instant Connection

”Sure, I’m not sure when I’ll be back now, but I’ll give you a call before I leave,” Jane Sampson agreed immediately. The chickens raised by the grandparents in the house taste completely different from those sold in the city district; the soup made from them is even more delicious.

That’s also why the grandparents couldn’t get used to living in the city district and chose to return to the countryside. Besides the air and transportation, another reason is that they can raise their own poultry in the countryside.

Both elderly people came from dececent backgrounds when they were young, yet as they aged, they strangely preferred to delve into the countryside lifestyle, enjoying the relaxed pace of rural life.

Jane Sampson and Grandpa Sampton’s phone conversation lasted until boarding time. She and her grandparents always seemed to have endless topics to discuss.

While Jane Sampson was on the phone, Shirley Young stayed completely silent the entire time, not interrupting her. Only after she had hung up did Shirley Young smile and say to her, ”Just by looking at you, I can tell you’re a ’good girl’ in front of your grandparents.”

Shirley Young was also surprised that someone of Jane Sampson’s character had entered this circle after getting married.

”Senior Young, my face must be emblazoned with the words ’good girl,’ or how else would you have noticed?” Jane Sampson responded with a laugh.

Since the two of them didn’t buy their tickets at the same time, their seats were separated by a few rows. After taking her seat, Jane Sampson felt a bit regretful, thinking that if she were seated closer to Shirley Young, they could continue discussing scripts and acting.

Shirley Young was a very nice person, willing to teach even someone she was unfamiliar with, and Jane wanted to learn as much as she could.

”Miss Sampson?”

A somewhat familiar voice came from nearby. Jane Sampson, who was speaking to Elizabeth King, turned her head and looked toward the seat on her right-hand side.

Sitting across the passage from her was Quincy Forest, Jasmine Seven’s cousin Kane Forest.

”Mr. Forest, what a coincidence!” Jane Sampson said with slight joy. ”I never really had the chance to properly thank you for last time. My husband said we should invite Mr. Forest for a meal to express our gratitude at some point.”

”It was a small matter, not worth mentioning.” The hospital incident was nothing but a trivial effort for Kane Forest, just a favor for a friend of his cousin, nothing to keep in mind for thanks.

However, he was surprised to find that on his recent business trips, he kept running into Jane Sampson by chance. Just as he sat down and recognized the person next to him as Jane Sampson, he took the initiative to greet her.

It was a polite gesture, after all, she wasn’t a stranger. As a gentleman, he felt it was the right thing to do.

Kane Forest, who seemed not to be talkative or very sociable, held a senior position in the company and always carried a managerial air. Jane Sampson was not good at dealing with such people, so after a brief exchange, afraid of the awkward silence, she slept throughout the flight.

After landing, Kane Forest, in a hurry, told Jane Sampson he was leaving first, and then hurried away. Jane Sampson walked leisurely behind with Shirley Young, waiting for their assistants to collect their luggage.

If it wasn’t for overhearing Shirley Young making a call to his wife and daughter while waiting for luggage, Jane Sampson might have completely forgotten about the note James Black left her before his departure.

Yes, she really was still annoyed with James Black.

Jane Sampson took out her mobile phone, turned it on, looked up James Black’s number, and made a call directly to James Black.

The person on the other end seemed to be waiting for her call as if he had timed it; the moment she dialed, the call was almost instantly answered.
