CEO's Reborn Wife

Chapter 411: Chapter 419: She Will Be Tired

And James Black, he just watched, watched as Jane Sampson ladled soup for Bright Sampson, then promised to make him spicy beef, and after that, she herself took a couple of bites of vegetables before peeling shrimp for Bright Sampson.

James Black glanced at the shrimp meat in her hand, then asked, ”Does Bright Sampson not have hands? Needs you to peel shrimp for him?”

Bright Sampson, unsettled by James Black’s question, looked up to find James Black frowning at him; his little heart was pounding with nervousness.

Ever since they were young, Jane Sampson always took care of him. Over many years, Bright Sampson had grown accustomed to it, but it seemed as if, just now, he had forgotten there was another person at the dinner table.

Still unaccustomed to eating at the same table with his brother-in-law, Bright Sampson hurriedly said to Jane Sampson, ”Sis, go ahead and eat. I’m well-grown; I can manage if I want to eat something.”

Jane Sampson hummed and put the shrimp she was holding into Bright Sampson’s bowl, took a piece of paper, and was about to wipe her hands when James Black’s chopsticks reached over, pinching a shrimp.

Jane Sampson heard the big man over one meter eighty sitting by her side say to her, ”Peel two for me.”

???

!!!

Who was it that just now said Bright Sampson didn’t need her help peeling shrimp because he has his own hands?

Did Mr. Black not realize how quickly he contradicted himself?

Seeing Jane Sampson just staring at him without taking them, James Black placed the shrimp in Jane Sampson’s bowl, then turned his head and plucked another one for her.

Two means two, not one more, not one less.

Bright Sampson tried his best to minimize his presence. For some reason, he always felt that his brother-in-law was displeased seeing his sister peel shrimp for him, as if it was because she only peeled for him and not for her brother-in-law.

In his heart, Bright Sampson quietly analyzed, was James Black jealous?

Scary, terrifyingly so. It turns out a normally expressionless man becomes so petty when jealous.

So what about the spicy beef he asked for just now?

Jane Sampson, resigned to her fate, started peeling and then placed the shrimp into James Black’s bowl. Seeing his pleased expression as he picked them up to eat, Jane kept on wiping her hands while staring intently at James Black.

Was this guy sick and took the wrong medicine early in the morning?

After thinking for a moment, Bright Sampson tentatively asked, ”Sis, will you still make beef for me tomorrow?”

He asked this while staring at James Black, and sure enough, as soon as he finished, James Black looked up at him and answered on behalf of Jane Sampson.

”She won’t have time,” said James Black.

Jane Sampson turned with a curious sound to look at James Black; she didn’t have any plans for tomorrow.

”Because she will be very tired tomorrow,” James Black explained earnestly.

Bright Sampson sounded an acknowledgment, ”Sis, do you have some tiring work to do tomorrow?”

Jane Sampson was utterly confused; how could she not know she would be very tired tomorrow? She clearly had no plans, right?

But seeing James Black looking at her, Jane Sampson chose to laugh it off, ”We’ll see then. If I’m free, I’ll make it for you, and I’ll give you a call after it’s ready, then you can come over to pick it up.”

After hearing this, Bright Sampson felt that his spicy beef was likely saved, because he had a feeling that his sister was really starting not to be afraid of her brother-in-law anymore.

After the meal, Bright Sampson happily took the stuff Jane Sampson had packed for him and left. Jane Sampson sent Bright Sampson downstairs, and the two siblings chatted for a while. By the time she returned, James Black had already cleaned up the dinner table and washed the dishes.

”By the way, James Black, do you have any plans for tomorrow?” Jane Sampson walked over to James Black, who had returned to the sofa and was watching the midday news, and asked, ”You’re not planning to take me mountain climbing, are you? I’ll let you know upfront, climbing mountains and that sort of tiring activity, I’m not going!”
