Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 887: Chapter 535: Dispute

”There’s actually such a miraculous medicine, Doctor Zhong, are you joking with us?” Qu Yue looked at Zhong Yi in surprise. A knife wound that leaves no scar? He felt like he was reading a martial arts novel, and one with a legendary twist at that.

Zhong Yi glanced at Ye Xuan: ”Do I have the guts for that?”

”You, you, and you...” The female doctor pointed to Luo Ye, Ye Xuan, Qu Yue, paused for a moment, and continued, ”Apologize to me.”

Zhong Yi quickly tried to mediate: ”Hua Yuan, given your age and behavior, it’s normal for others to have doubts. We’re all friends here, let’s forget about it, okay? Do me this favor, will you?”

”Why should I do you that favor?” Hua Yuan glared at Zhong Yi, then looked at Luo Ye and the others expressionlessly, ”Hurry up, apologize!”

Seeing the situation wasn’t right, Yang Ming quickly said, ”Dr. Hua, it’s my fault, it’s all my fault. My friends were just concerned about me, that’s why they questioned it. Please don’t be mad, or, or, would you like to cut me again?”

”I’ll settle the score with you later. Right now, I’m talking about them.” Hua Yuan glared sideways at the group, ”What? Is it really that hard to apologize when you’ve done something wrong?”

When you do something wrong, it’s only right to apologize. But with Hua Yuan’s attitude, as if scolding her grandchildren, how can the group possibly apologize just to please her?

Qu Yue looked at her coolly: ”Apologize, sure. But what about you? Don’t you have any responsibility at all?”

”Are you going to apologize or not?” Hua Yuan raised her voice.

Luo Ye frowned and looked at Zhong Yi: ”Dr. Zhong, can you treat Secretary Yang’s wound?”

”Ye’er...” Zhong Yi looked at Luo Ye with a bit of difficulty, silently lamenting, how did he manage to get tangled up with Hua Yuan? This young lady is a medical genius, adored by the elders of the Hua family since childhood. Her temper and her medical skill are definitely proportional. If he dares to take a patient away from her now, she really might come to the Zhong family tomorrow with Old Man Hua to settle accounts, and then Grandpa’s bottles and jars will be in danger...

”Alright, I understand.” Luo Ye looked at Yang Ming, ”Secretary Yang, if you trust me, come with me.”

”Alright.” Yang Ming quickly got out of bed. It was clear whom he would choose, and he believed Luo Ye wouldn’t harm him. Though they hadn’t interacted much, he had a rough understanding of Luo Ye’s temperament.

Song Yaxian looked at Luo Ye with a slightly anxious expression: ”Miss Luo, will this work?”

”Sis...” Li Ru gently tugged at her cousin, ”In this situation, why are you still acting like a headless chicken?”

Luo Ye smiled at the sisters: ”Don’t worry, I’ll find an expert in this field to treat Secretary Yang.”

”Leaving as you please, coming as you wish, what do you take this place for?” Hua Yuan glared angrily at Luo Ye, ”What right do you have to take my patient away? If something goes wrong, can you take responsibility?”

”I can!” Luo Ye looked at her seriously, ”Doctor Zhong’s praise makes me believe your medical skill is definitely excellent. But I really can’t compliment your temper. I’m worried about Secretary Yang staying here for treatment.”

”Worried about what?” Hua Yuan’s eyebrows furrowed tightly.

Luo Ye pointed to Yang Ming’s wound: ”With your temper, if you scratch him a couple more times for no reason, what then?”

”You...” Hua Yuan pointed at her angrily, ”You’re insulting my profession! Tell me your name and address of your unit, this matter can’t just end like this.”

”Little Yuan, what’s got you upset again?” Accompanied by a gentle voice, Hua Rong appeared at the door, ”Dr. Hua, why are you here?” Luo Ye reflexively asked, then realized—Hua Rong, Hua Yuan, they should be sisters?

Hua Rong was visibly stunned for a moment, then walked over with a smile and held Luo Ye’s hand: ”Ye’er, you’re getting prettier.”

”Sister, you know her?” Hua Yuan frowned even more.

”Yes, Ye’er was once my patient and also...” Hua Rong paused, ”also my friend.” As she spoke, she looked around the room at everyone, and roughly understood the cause of the situation. Hua Rong shook her head helplessly, ”Little Yuan, I’ve told you many times, working in a hospital as a doctor, you need to change your temper, or Uncle Pan will find it difficult.”

”What did I do wrong? It was they who doubted my medical skill first.” Hua Yuan glared at Hua Rong with dissatisfaction, and with a ”humph,” said, ”I’m telling Grandpa, you’re siding with outsiders to bully me.”

”Little Yuan!” Hua Rong chided, apologetically looking at Luo Ye and the others, ”I apologize on Little Yuan’s behalf to everyone, this child has been spoiled since young. But her medical skill is indeed excellent, in no way inferior to mine, which is why she hates others doubting her the most.”

”It’s our fault, first, we shouldn’t have doubted Dr. Hua’s medical skill, and second, we shouldn’t know our mistakes and not correct them.” Luo Ye said as she smiled at Hua Yuan, ”Dr. Hua, I’m sorry!”

”Humph!” Hua Yuan snorted heavily, looking at Ye Xuan and Qu Yue, ”What about you two, hurry up and apologize to me. Or are you not even as good as a girl?”

”Enough, Little Yuan!” Hua Rong said as she pushed her out, ”You hurry back to the office, I’ll handle things here, I’m often seconded here anyway, it’s the same with me treating.”

”Why?” Hua Yuan, being extremely stubborn, held onto the doorframe with both hands and stared furiously at Hua Rong, ”Sister, you know what I dislike the most, you’re my own sister, yet you... you...”

”Little Yuan!” Hua Rong didn’t know what to say, her own younger sister, a genius she might be, but in dealing with people, she was no different from a child of five or six.

”Ye’er, although Little Yuan has a bad temper, she is extremely responsible to her patients...” Hua Rong hesitated, looking at Luo Ye without continuing.

Luo Ye looked at Yang Ming: ”Secretary Yang, what do you think?”

”Major Luo’s decision is my decision,” Yang Ming quickly said.

”I’ll go handle the hospital admission procedures.” Song Yaxian said as she hurried out.

”Major Luo...”

Luo Ye quickly interrupted Yang Ming’s attempt to explain: ”Secretary Yang, we understand, Miss Song cares for you that’s why she’s acting this way. Later, you can explain to your wife, we’re just worried about delaying your injury, nothing more.”

”Pretending to be sincere!” Hua Yuan said, glaring at Yang Ming, ”You, hurry up and lay on the bed, I tell you, growing up, what I hate the most is patients who are irresponsible with themselves!” She said looking at Ye Xuan and Qu Yue, ”You two, really don’t act like men!”

Ye Xuan and Qu Yue glanced at her indifferently, then turned their gaze elsewhere. They couldn’t really argue with a woman, but they could ignore her, right?

Luo Ye looked at Hua Rong: ”Dr. Hua, it’s rare to meet by chance like this, let’s have dinner together tonight.”

”D-Dinner?” Hua Rong looked at Luo Ye with difficulty, ”Ye’er, today is probably no good, I... I have other matters.”

Hua Yuan pouted at Luo Ye: ”My sister has a date with my brother-in-law, don’t try to join in!” (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to come to Qidian () to vote for recommendation tickets, and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
