Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 860: Chapter 520: Peeling Back the Layers

As Noda Song finished speaking, Noda Hikari’s face instantly fell. After hesitating for a moment, she looked at him, ”Father, I would like to see Luo Ye. Can you help me?”

Noda Song’s eyes lit up, ”Hikari, that is the right thing to do. Please wait a moment.” He then looked at Yang Ming, ”Mr. Yang, could you please inform Secretary Luo that I have a request? Would that be possible?”

”Please wait a moment,” Yang Ming nodded and turned back, returning shortly after and nodding to Noda Song, ”Mr. Noda, please.”

”Thank you, Mr. Yang.” Noda Song politely bowed and opened the door to enter.

”Mr. Noda, is there something else?” Secretary Wen looked at Noda Song with a smile, his eyes bright and clear.

Noda Song paused for a moment, realizing that he had shown too much urgency. Having already fallen to a disadvantage, he was at a loss now, but he had no choice but to proceed. Respectfully bowing, he said, ”Secretary Wen, Hikari wants to apologize to Miss Luo in person. Can you do us a favor?”

”This matter...” Secretary Wen paused, ”Luo Ye is still in prison. If Mr. Noda wants to see her, you should apply for a visit.”

Noda Song’s face twitched, ”Secretary Wen, we were also deceived by the Moselle Family. Lian Fengnan promised my daughter that if Luo Ye was punished enough, the Moselle Family would fully support the Yodani Family. I admit, we were wrong in this matter. Please help negotiate so that Miss Luo can regain her freedom as soon as possible. I’m asking you.”

Secretary Wen tapped his desk awkwardly, ”This matter can’t be decided by you alone. The key is for Mr. Monique to agree as well.”

”I understand, I understand. I will immediately take Hikari to plead with Monique!” Noda Song bowed deeply, took a couple of steps, then turned back, ”Secretary Wen, once Miss Luo regains her freedom, can Hikari meet her?”

Secretary Wen nodded, ”Sure, I can arrange that for you.”

At the doorway, Noda Song hurriedly said to his anxious-looking daughter, ”Hikari, let’s go find Monique first.”

Noda Hikari was momentarily stunned but then understood. She quickly nodded in agreement, ”Alright, Father.”

However, when the father and daughter arrived at Monique’s residence, they learned that Monique had gone out. When asked, the guards were tight-lipped about Monique’s whereabouts. Attempts to call him resulted in a phone that was turned off.

At a loss, Noda Hikari suddenly remembered two old acquaintances, and looked to Old Ye Tian for guidance, ”Papa, call Dennis and Anida. He must know Monique’s whereabouts.”

Noda Song nodded, ”Alright, let’s find Dennis.”

Through various means, they learned from Dennis that Monique was at the L.L Fashion Design Studio in Sha City, prompting the father and daughter to head there urgently.

If they were to return to Japan in disgrace, they would certainly face dire consequences. Therefore, at this point, they had no choice but to forge ahead, hoping someone might lend them a hand to completely change their circumstances.

As they approached the entrance of the design studio, Old Ye Tian stopped in his tracks, ”Hikari, I will wait outside. Plead with Monique some more; perhaps he will remember the past and help us.”

Noda Hikari nodded, ”Papa, I will do my best.”

”Hello, who are you looking for?” At the door, Noda Hikari was stopped by Jiujiu.

Noda Hikari smiled gently, ”Hello, I am Noda Hikari. I’m looking for Mr. Monique. I know he is here.”

Jiujiu assessed her up and down, ”One moment.” Internally, she thought, this woman seems to like Monique. Heaven, please let Monique like her back and stay away from Miss Luo.

When she reached the door of Luo Lian’s office, Qiuqiu came over, ”What’s happening?”

Jiujiu blinked and said, ”A Japanese woman is looking for Young Master.”

”I’ll report this,” Qiuqiu winked at her and then entered, interrupting Monique who had been playfully conversing with Luo Lian. Monique frowned, ”Who let you in? Get out!”

Qiuqiu smiled apologetically, ”Young Master, I didn’t mean to interrupt, but a beautiful lady named Noda Hikari is here, saying it’s something urgent. I was worried about delaying your affairs, so I had to report it.”

”Noda Hikari?” Monique waved, ”I won’t see her!”

”Monique...” Noda Hikari’s timid voice called, as she had already stepped into the doorway.

”What are you doing here?” Monique looked at her expressionlessly, ”If it’s for me to help, there’s no need to say anything.”

Noda Hikari took a look at Luo Lian, her lips curving into a bitter smile, ”This young lady, is she the one Monique likes?”
