Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 536: Chapter 322: News

The next morning, upon arriving at the school, Luo Ye first went to the captain’s office to check back in from leave, where Feng Tianzhi looked her over and nodded with a smile: ”You’ve recovered nicely. For the next half month, you don’t need to participate in morning exercises or training, but don’t miss any academic classes.”

”Yes!” Luo Ye responded.

Hang Menglin glanced at her indifferently: ”Although you don’t need to join the morning exercise and training, you must be there on time.”

”Yes!”

Feng Tianzhi’s slender eyes narrowed: ”Instructor Hang, is that really necessary? What’s the point of this formalism?”

”What do you think?” Hang Menglin looked at him expressionlessly: ”I hope Captain Feng realizes this is a military school.”

Feng Tianzhi looked at Luo Ye: ”Go back to the dormitory.”

”Yes!” Luo Ye turned and left.

Hang Menglin added another sentence: ”Don’t forget what I said.”

”Yes!” Luo Ye responded again and quickly left.

Just as she walked out of the building, Xing Nong and Yaoguang greeted her.

”Wow, Little Luoluo, let me have a good look at you. Geez, look at this little rosy face, this frail little body, and this delicate little appearance...”

”Qiu’er, are you complimenting me or belittling me?” Luo Ye clasped their small hands to feel them, her face full of distress: ”You two fools, why are your hands so cold? Didn’t you just come over?”

”Pretty smart.” Xing Nong snapped her fingers: ”There are some things that we can’t discuss in the dormitory, so we decided to wait here, and accidentally fell asleep leaning against the wall.”

Yaoguang frowned bitterly: ”Isn’t New Year’s Day coming up? Training is no longer under Female Yama’s control, but she is in charge of cultural and entertainment activities. It has given her another chance to show off. These past nights, we’ve been practicing the chorus until one or two in the morning. My ears are buzzing; it’s all ’Unity is Strength.’”

”Pfft! Does that song really need to be practiced so desperately?”

Xing Nong’s lips curled: ”Tell me about it, we are all sick of practicing, but she seems to still enjoy it immensely. It’s really disheartening!”

”This early and you’re blocking my way, what news do you have...” Luo Ye checked the time: ”There’s half an hour until morning exercises, I still need to go back and change.”

”You’re not actually going to participate in morning exercises having just had surgery?”

”I’m just going to watch.” Luo Ye answered briefly.

Xing Nong nodded her little head: ”Got it, it must be Female Yama’s suggestion. Captain Feng wouldn’t issue such an order. Let me think where to start...”

Yaoguang rolled her eyes, interrupting Xing Nong, ”I can’t believe you, the house is on fire and you’re still dilly-dallying. Luoluo, Wu Zetian and Yan Han might be expelled.”

Luo Ye’s eyes widened in shock: ”Go on.”

”Didn’t Yan Han get transferred to Squadron Five? Together with Wu Zetian, they took on the task of purchasing computers. Last Wednesday, they both got permission to leave to get quotes at the computer mall. When they came out, they encountered two guys harassing a pretty girl.

The two of them beat up those ruffians, but during the process, the girl ran away, and the ruffians turned the tables, bringing their parents to the school to accuse them of assaulting people unprovoked.

Without that girl as a witness, they have no evidence to prove what happened, and the ruffians’ parents are pressuring the school to expel Wu Zetian and Yan Han, or else they’ll expose the school’s inaction to the media. Right now, things are at a standstill. What do you think, what should be done?”

Luo Ye pondered for a moment: ”Did Captain Feng or Instructor Hang make any moves?”

”Captain Feng is back?” Xing Nong blinked hesitantly: ”He’s been away at a meeting for several days, and it’s Instructor Hang who took over this matter.

She doesn’t believe Wu Zetian and Yan Han’s story at all. Luoluo, after all, Wu Zetian is quite close to us, so you must help him. We’ve been thinking it over, and here we can only count on you to know someone and have the capability to investigate.

Zhan Hao was thinking of helping, but his connection is Boss Ye. Knowing that you and Boss Ye went back to Beijing, he was too shy to call Boss Ye and has been waiting for your return.”

Luo Ye frowned in thought for a while, ”It feels off, think about it, the computer mall is crowded, why would ruffians choose such a place to harass a girl? And that pretty girl, why did she escape so cleanly?

I’ll ask Wu Zetian and Yan Han later if anything unusual happened that day, to see if they could sort out any clues. Only then will it be easier to investigate.”

”I know about this,” Xing Nong eagerly said: ”Zhan Hao and they went through it, and feel there’s one person who’s especially suspicious. According to Yan Han and Wu Zetian, at the computer mall, they ran into a former teammate of Yan Han’s, the man who forced Yan Han to retire and apply to the military school, what was his name...”
