Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 535: Chapter 321: Improvement, Homecoming, and Wen Ke’s Thoughts (3)

Luo Ye retorted, ”According to you, standing at the door and blowing down is safe, but is it useful?”

”Ye’er, you’re just being argumentative,” Wen Ke giggled, ”Tell your sister the truth, how far have you and Ye Xuan progressed?”

Luo Ye turned her head and glared at her, ”Why are you thinking about how far we’ve developed?”

”I guess...” Wen Ke spun her eyeballs, ”Hand-holding goes without saying, hugs are inevitable, and I bet kissing has already happened. Tell me, what step have you reached beyond that?”

”Busybody!”

Wen Ke put down the hairdryer, grabbed Luo Ye’s hands, and swung them back and forth, ”Alright, alright, I’m a busybody, just tell me, Ye’er.”

Luo Ye huffed, ”No need to try and fish words out of me, we spent a day and a half at the Ye Family mostly accompanying Great Grandpa, so keep your filthy thoughts to yourself, I despise you!”

Wen Ke looked at Luo Ye with a perplexed gaze, ”Such a good opportunity, such a tender beauty, Ye Xuan could restrain himself from taking a bit of advantage? I don’t believe it.”

”Ke Ke Sister, you’re suspicious, are you in love?” Luo Ye looked her up and down, ”The more I look, the more I feel something is off about you. Grandma and Aunt would never let you ask such a boring question, and neither would my mom, so there’s only one possibility, you’re asking for yourself, spit it out!”

”It’s not that, I’m just curious because I haven’t dated,” Wen Ke said as her face turned red, ”Ye’er...”

”Ke Ke Sister, don’t be shy...” Luo Ye pressed her to sit on the bed and looked down at her from above, ”Look at Ke Ke Sister’s eyes full of spring, you must have fallen for some boy, tell me, how can I help you?”

”I told you not to laugh at me,” Wen Ke said with an agonized expression.

Luo Ye earnestly raised her hand, ”I solemnly swear not to laugh. Whoever laughs is a little dog.”

Wen Ke wriggled, ”Annoying, look at your giggling face, clearly making fun of me, I won’t talk to you anymore.”

Luo Ye wiped her face, putting on a serious look, her voice deep, ”Go on.”

”Annoying!” Wen Ke hit her again, and her expression also turned serious, ”These past few days, I’ve been dreaming of this person, dreaming of going to his house, dreaming of his family arranging for us to live together...” At this point, Wen Ke covered her face with her hands, embarrassed.

”Who... who is this person?” Luo Ye stuttered, her intuition telling her this was someone she knew, otherwise Wen Ke wouldn’t share such an embarrassing matter with her.

”It’s... it’s one of your classmates...”

Seeing Wen Ke pause, not continuing, Luo Ye pondered over the people that had visited the Wen Family recently, recalling how everyone interacted, and suddenly realized, ”Wu Zetian?”

Wen Ke nodded, ”Ye’er is so smart!”

Luo Ye asked uncertainly, ”So, Ke Ke Sister means, in the future, I should bring him to the Wen Family as much as possible, and create opportunities for Ke Ke Sister?”

”Ye’er...”

Wen Ke raised her head, looking directly at Luo Ye, ”I know, Wu Zetian likes Ye’er, but, he’s not the type to pester relentlessly.

I’m telling Ye’er because I was thinking of getting Ye’er to help create opportunities. However, if Ye’er finds it difficult, I can give up.”

”It’s fine, it’s not difficult, Wu Zetian has a good personality, Ke Ke Sister has good taste,” Luo Ye hugged Wen Ke, ”You’ve been agonizing over this for a long time, huh?”

”Yeah, I’ve been struggling whether to speak out or not. Given Ye’er’s nature, after confirming the relationship with Ye Xuan, you’d definitely reduce contact with other boys, so I was worried you might not bring him to our home again.” Wen Ke looked at Luo Ye apprehensively, ”Ye’er, will you be angry with me? I feel it’s despicable to talk to you about this, but I was also worried that if I didn’t say anything, the next time Ye’er comes back might be in about a month, and I might miss the opportunity.”

”Fool. If the person you liked were Ye Xuan and you straightforwardly asked me like this, that would be despicable.” Luo Ye patted her comfortingly, ”The fact you’re being honest about your feelings shows you care about what I think, and that this sister matters to you. How could that be considered despicable?”

”Thank you, Ye’er.” Wen Ke relaxed, hugging Luo Ye back, ”It would be so embarrassing to discuss this with grandma and Aunt, lucky to have you, Ye’er.”

Luo Ye rested her chin on top of Wen Ke’s head in silence; a child without a mother always carries a hidden unease in the depths of their heart, she could understand. After a while, she softly said, ”Ke Ke Sister, I’ll talk to him tomorrow.”
