Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 339: Chapter 195: Grudges (Part 2)

The company commander couldn’t persuade her and had no choice but to ask the higher-ups. The higher-ups dared not decide, so they asked the highest commander. The highest commander disagreed, so Hang Menglin stole the instructor’s satellite phone to call her grandpa, and somehow managed to persuade him to speak to the highest commander.

When she left, her comrades all hugged her. Although they didn’t like her, they admired her spirit and all had a feeling she was heading into danger with slim chances of good fortune.

The area she entered was a deadly zone with swamps, whirlpools, various poisonous snakes, and utterly no easy paths. Yet, incredibly, she crossed it alone and even ended the exercise ahead of schedule.

After this incident, her brilliance could no longer be hidden. The Blue Army commander, a top three official of our military, took a great liking to her... Seeing Luo Ye smile, Feng Hua added jokingly, ”In front of elderly seniors, she’s extremely obedient, a completely different person from what you and I see. Therefore, it’s natural that the seniors would like her.”

Luo Ye smiled sheepishly, ”Go on!”

”Of course, that turning point also cost her dearly, wounds and poisoning. She lay in the hospital for over twenty days before coming out. Due to some toxins, her agility isn’t what it used to be. The chief specially instructed that she should focus on training. He believes a warrior like her could only train soldiers that are absolutely Iron Soldiers.

And indeed, she has trained many Iron Soldiers. Those relentless training methods, they have to be tough; the unluckiest part is, GF University’s military training is always overseen by her as the Chief Instructor.

Her dislike for tender girls has never changed. Thus, I was shot down. No matter how hard I trained, she never liked me and even during a combat training, she trained me to the breaking point. If not for modern medical technology, I would probably be disabled now!

Luo Ye, your batch is still quite lucky not having her selecting and punishing your group was nowhere near this level!”

”Yu Na isn’t tough either, yet she likes her quite a bit?”

”That’s an exception. She has a good relationship with the Yu Family and even liked Yu Na’s brother, Yu Hang at one point, so it’s kind of giving face to the Yu Family.”

”Being liked by her? That’s terrifying.” Luo Ye stuck out her tongue, ”I wonder, she conducts such harsh training in the military but nobody controls this? Moreover, your family... is not an ordinary one either.”

”Control? She’s appointed by the third-ranking chief; who would dare to touch her? Besides, I was the only one who really got trained to the breaking point. As for my family, my uncles would be glad if I was disabled or dead, how could they speak up for me? My dad did think about standing up for me, alas, he was firmly stopped by my uncles’ side, so I can only endure this myself for now.”

”I still have a doubt; given Hang Menglin’s family background, originally she shouldn’t have got the cold shoulder, right?”

”Her grandpa worried that she’d become too tough and no one would marry her, so he instructed leaders not to favor her and let her withdraw facing difficulties.”

”I see,” muttered Luo Ye, ”What’s Hang Menglin’s purpose in life? To abuse people? Is she happy seeing others unhappy?”

Feng Hua’s lips curled up in a mocking smile, ”Her goal is to rise above both men and women, proving she’s the strongest!”

”Freak!” Luo Ye pursed his lips looking straight at Feng Hua, ”Why choose me? Why trust me?”

”Let’s speak frankly, I see potential in you and your background. I also know some things you want, so I choose to take this gamble. If you betray me, at worst, I die, yet it could give my father and my uncle a chance to turn around.

Don’t think our branch is incapable; our specialty is intelligence. So, if we collaborate, the help I provide might not be less than the help you provide.”

Luo Ye eyed Feng Hua thoughtfully, ”Hang Menglin’s attitude towards you isn’t just because she dislikes your appearance, right?”

Feng Hua gave a wry smile, ”You’re right, I once dated Yu Hang.”

”Ah? How old is Yu Hang?” Luo Ye genuinely surprised, Hang Menglin’s liked man should be nearly thirty right?

”This year, 28. Now, we are not even friends. He ran away faster than a rabbit once he knew my real situation.”

”This woman... this man...” Luo Ye shook his head no longer speaking.

Feng Hua hesitated a moment, ”Luo Ye, how old are you?”

”Seventeen and a half.”

”So young?” Feng Hua laughed self-deprecatingly, ”I’m twenty-two, feel quite embarrassed compared to you. I know, you must still have many doubts about me, it’s unreasonable for anyone to trust me immediately.

Initially, I was planning to approach you after some time, but there’s something urgent, and since I want to ally with you, I naturally can’t watch your family get hurt. Yang Xing, you know him, right?”

”Of course,” Luo Ye’s heart jumped.

”The incident about her using a girl to approach your brother, did you know?”

”Yes,” Luo Ye nodded, adding, ”My brother also knows.”

”But there’s something, I believe you might not know.” Feng Hua sighed, ”I’ll tell you about this matter, and once the truth comes out, you can then decide whether or not to trust me, okay?”
