Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 327: Chapter 188: The Ye-Hang Dispute

”Report to the instructor, Instructor Hang ordered Luo Ye and Yan Xingnong to run 25 laps around the playground before they can proceed to the shooting training ground!” Upon reaching the assembly point, Yu Na reported the situation to Shao Bo.

Shao Bo frowned: ”Reason!”

Yu Na stood up straight and answered, ”Report to the instructor, during the instructor’s speech, Luo Ye and Yan Xingnong were whispering among themselves.”

Yaoguang raised her voice and shouted, ”Report!”

”Step forward!”

”Report to the instructor, what actually happened was that Xingnong whispered a sentence, and Luo Ye told her to follow discipline. The instructor punished the two of them to run 15 laps around the playground without asking anything.

After Xingnong mentioned today’s training subjects, the instructor added 5 more laps as punishment. Luo Ye shouted at Xingnong to follow orders, and another 5 laps were added as punishment. When Xingnong asked for the reason of the additional punishment, yet another 5 laps were added. I believe the instructor’s punishment is unreasonable!”

Shao Bo’s frown deepened, ”Mo Yaoguang!”

”Present!”

”The sacred duty of a soldier is to obey orders. First, you overstepped your authority, and then showed disrespect to your superior. After today’s training, you’ll run 10 laps around the playground!”

”Yes! I will carry out your order, but I firmly believe that everything should be clear, and the orders from superiors should be the right ones to follow. Cadets should also have human rights!”

Shao Bo stared at Mo Yaoguang, ”It seems you have decided to accept the punishment with them?”

Yaoguang said with defiance, ”I’ll take Xingnong’s punishment and let Luo Ye rejoin the team!”

”This is not for you to decide.” Shao Bo roared, ”Yu Na! Mo Yaoguang!”

”Present!”

”Return to the ranks!”

”Yes!” Mo Yaoguang glanced at Yu Na, turning up her nose scornfully, while Yu Na returned a faint smile, standing expressionless in front of the team.

”Let’s get ready to depart.” Ye Xuan walked over.

”Boss...” Shao Bo pulled Ye Xuan aside and began to speak in a low voice about what had just happened. Ye Xuan interrupted him, ”With such a loud noise just now, I’m not deaf. You guys go ahead and get on the vehicle first, I’ll handle this.”

West Playground.

As Xingnong ran, she grumbled, ”The female Yama doesn’t fear getting sunburnt, with plenty of shade available she chooses to stand under the sun. Being so harsh on herself, she isn’t any kinder to others. Whoever marries a wife like that would bring misfortune upon his ancestors!”

”Don’t worry, she won’t let you marry. Stop mumbling. Look at your hair, it’s as if you’ve just washed it. Look at me, don’t you think talking too much also wastes energy?”

Xingnong turned to look at Luo Ye, indeed, after six laps, Luo Ye’s forehead was only slightly sweaty, her face rosy with just a small patch of wetness on her back, unlike herself, who felt her pants were about to stick to her legs. She couldn’t help but wail, ”I can’t compare to you in stamina. My best skill has been taken away from me, such a miserable fate!”

Seeing that they were about to pass by Hang Menglin again, Luo Ye quickly reminded her, ”Stop talking.”

Xingnong pouted, ”Alright, a wise man knows better than to fight when the odds are against him!”

Luo Ye raised an eyebrow but remained silent. The girl was a chatterbox; getting her to keep quiet was indeed not easy. From a distance, she saw Ye Xuan approaching, and Luo Ye’s cheeks felt a bit feverish. She sped up and ran ahead, with Xingnong quickly following, whispering, ”What got into you all of a sudden?”

”The head instructor is coming; we’ve both made fools of ourselves all the way to Grandma’s house.”

Xingnong clicked her tongue: ”We really have brought shame all the way to Grandma’s house. He’s like our kin. Do you think he will argue with the female Yama?”

”She’s not wrong for being strict. Don’t give people random nicknames. In any case, it’s a fact that we were wrong first. We just need to be cautious in the future and not get caught by her again,” Luo Ye muttered with a grim face, ”Let’s just accept the embarrassment this time.”

”Ah, why did Instructor Ye just leave like that? I miss her!” Xingnong sniffled, ”It’s really true that you don’t know what you have until it’s gone!”

”What are you talking about!”

Luo Ye was even more saddened by Ye Qingzhu’s sudden departure. Last night during the room check, Qingzhu secretly stuffed the bath pass under her pillow, along with a letter to her.

She read the letter under the covers with a flashlight. The letter didn’t contain any private messages, just hoping she would train well so that one day they could fight side by side.

They had only known each other for half a month, but it felt like they were old friends for many years. Although not as intimately comfortable as Ying Nuo Xingnong and the others, it was a different feeling, a kindred spirit, yes, that’s the feeling!

For that letter and the frustration pent up during the day, she cried for a long time under the covers. Before meeting Ye Mo, she felt her goals were quite clear.

Keep her family safe, attend military academy, become a qualified female soldier, be a soldier under Jiang Zheng, fulfill the regrets of her past life with Jiang Zheng, and at the same time, possess some power to better protect her family.
